Invaluable Notes and Workflows Once You’re Up and Running
What do you like best about the product?
The creation of notes and workflows, etc are invaluable. Once you get into the system it works really good.
What do you dislike about the product?
The steep learning curve. The organization of the left panel needs to be customizable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now it is a great note taker... once I get deeper into the program, I can see it replacing a lot of my systems. Like Todo-ist, for example.
Notion as a Centralized Source of Truth for Calendars, Leads, and AI Meeting Notes
What do you like best about the product?
I love Notion as my centralized source of truth, it allows me to have clear documented processes all in one place and share easily with coworkers. I'm able to keep my marketing calendar and podcast calendar updated in one place which flows through to any referenced place which reduces the chance for error. I've even built a custom lead generation board where I can track folks I meet and their action items get added to my to do list easily. The new AI note taking is transforming how I follow up from meetings, creating very clear action items I can complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is so customizable which can be overwhelming, it can easy to get into the asthetics of the layouts etc without actually accomplishing things. This is why I think having someone help you build or using templates is most effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m using Notion for both business and personal use, and it’s been amazing. On the business side, it’s taken things that were previously very decentralized and brought them into one home—a central place where I can find everything I need. It also helps me capture my to-dos and stay organized, so I can keep my business on track not only across my clients, but also alongside my personal life. I love that I can trust the Notion team to think of things that I didn't even know could improve my life!
From Podcast Scripts to Gear Lists, Notion Is My All-In-One Production Hub
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion for a variety of tasks in my current role.
I first started using it when I was producing our company podcast. I set up a database to organize all our episodes and created a page for each one, with background information on guests and resources the host could reference before and during the episode.
Since then, I've built similar databases to track the equipment we use. I can take photos of each piece of gear we buy, enter the model number, and add any additional details needed, so our inventory stays clear and easy to maintain.
Because we do a lot of contract work with Subject Matter Experts, I also created a database to store the documents we send them ahead of a recording. I use the same space as a central repository for process guidelines and design standards documents as well.
Overall, it's a fantastic organizational tool that works really well for my job and is also helpful for personal tasks.

What do you dislike about the product?
Under the free plan, you're limited to 1,000 blocks per workspace if there are two or more workspace owners. Basically, every piece of content you add to a page, regardless of its type, is considered a single building block. So, obviously, exceeding your designated limit will eventually become an issue.
Even if you delete certain blocks, the block count doesn't decrease. That means once you hit the 1,000-block limit, the only real option is to upgrade to a paid tier. However, for solo users, the blocks are unlimited. It's not until you add a teammate that the 1,000-block cap kicks in.
I can still make the most of the functions included in the free plan, but it would be nice to have access to more advanced features—like integrations and AI—without upgrading.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like being able to set up multiple workspaces so I can keep content organized, with everything embedded on its own dedicated page. Within each workspace, I can create pages and upload documents, pictures, links, videos, and more to keep everything in one place. I also appreciate the variety of views available—such as list, chart, timeline, and table—because I can quickly glance at a page and find the information I need.
Great for Organization, Needs More Mind Mapping
What do you like best about the product?
I like Notion's shortcuts and find it pretty easy to connect everything together. I love the user interface, which really enhances my experience. I appreciate Notion for knowledge management and project management, and I believe the aesthetic makes it work really well. The pretty design of Notion keeps me motivated to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was a little bit more like Obsidian where you can connect different ideas together and then create a mind map out of it. As someone with ADHD, I feel like that would be really helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for organization, benefiting from easy connection of everything, useful shortcuts, and a user-friendly interface that boosts my project and knowledge management.
Effortless Collaboration, Needs AI Tweaks
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to manage tasks and collaborate with teams in Notion. Collaborating with wide teams and large groups is seamless. The initial setup was extremely easy, which I really appreciate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find using AI functionality in Notion to be challenging. I would like it to be easier for the AI to offer tools and help organize things based on what I have done previously.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to solve organization problems. I love how easy it is to manage tasks and collaborate with teams.
Versatile, Yet Challenging for Databases
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Notion for its versatility and adaptability, which are key in managing my marketing team. I use databases with automations to manage workflows and pipelines, which really helps in organizing complex projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Connecting databases can be awkward or not work very well, especially when properties appear in both and you want them connected; they usually only work in a linear manner with rollups. There's a learning curve when it comes to setting up the database and automations, which takes time and research. Also, formula creation is difficult to start with, but is required occasionally for custom properties or automations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion gives me visibility and oversight into all marketing activities and projects, and it stores team knowledge.
Efficient Note-Taking with AI, Needs Better Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion primarily for meeting notes, and I really enjoy the AI meeting functionality. It's been super helpful and saved me, especially with detailed meetings at my software company. I think it's great, and I like the summaries that come through. I find myself using it all the time since I have a lot of meetings on my calendar. I also think that the layout is really easy to navigate, and it has a really clean interface. I've become very accustomed to taking notes in it, so I really do like and appreciate that. Setting it up was very easy, and it's now my go-to note-taking tool because of these features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would really like the AI meeting notes to be able to quickly and easily copy that transcript with a click of a button or download a markdown file of that transcript for use in other generative AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude. I'd also like to interact with the transcript of notes, ask questions, and have it be a bit more dynamic than just getting the summary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for meeting notes and AI meeting recordings with summaries. It's mainly a note-taking tool for me, and the AI transcription is super helpful, saving me time in detailed meetings.
Ultimate Life Organizer, Needs iPad App
What do you like best about the product?
I just got the AI feature in Notion and it's a game changer. I also appreciate its flexibility; it's very simple and very complex at the same time, allowing me to use it however I want. Whether I want to organize or build something or do whatever else, I can do it. The AI helps a lot; I use dictation to tell it what I want, which makes organizing much faster, turning tasks that used to take minutes or hours into seconds. Switching from Microsoft OneNote to Notion, I find it better on every measure, as it's more flexible and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I want an iPad app but there isn't one. Also, there's a bit of a learning curve to figure out what it can do and how to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to organize my work, personal life, track ideas, TDLs, blogs, and plan YT videos. It helps me organize everything my brain can't handle alone.
Program Coordinator
What do you like best about the product?
The level of organization and ability to have different tracking systems that can easily link together
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very complex and I am not sure I'm using it as efficiently as I could be- but all comes with time and learning
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to manage my personal projects and business, as well as my full time job projects and info in one place. It benefits me by reducing the time and mental energy it takes the find information
Intuitive and Resourceful with Room for Navigation Enhancement
What do you like best about the product?
I like Notion for its ease of use, and find it very intuitive. There are lots of resources available on how to use and build with it, which is super helpful. The templates provided by Notion also make things a lot easier. The navigation and customization options are excellent, and after overcoming a few hurdles, I found the initial setup pretty easy, especially once I learned the / command.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that relational fields aren't available for navigation on public pages. It's frustrating trying to link to child/parent SOPs for our team to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion as a central location for company resources and processes, making it easier to build a company playbook and SOP management system.
