A multifunctional but lightweight project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that in Notion, you can freely create pages and edit them simultaneously. It's especially convenient when starting a project, as you can create pages in the database or workspace as ideas come to mind. When just creating pages, it's easy to propose even bad ideas, and it's nice not to have to be formal like when talking to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
The heaviness, lack of customizability of shortcuts, and difficulty in handling plain text. Due to the absence of established rules, documents are scattered. Unnecessary private pages are being mass-produced, making it difficult to search.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Notion makes project management, company meeting minutes, and documentation easier, and with its search and database functions, you can quickly find information. You can freely create pages and edit them simultaneously, allowing you to easily propose ideas.
Easy, Rich Documentation Creation and Sharing
What do you like best about the product?
It’s easy to create, organize, and share documentation that feels rich in color and texture. The interface is straightforward, and overall it’s simple and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its AI has recently overwritten my Mermaid diagrams, so I have to be careful when I ask it to write in certain documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me create, organize and share documentation and most recently it's integration with Claude has helped the AI and myself define architecture for a project we're working on.
Customizable, User-Friendly, Needs Better Onboarding
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Notion is customizable, no matter what I'm working on, whether it's my projects, notes, or planning. It's very easy to understand, and I really enjoy using Notion for almost everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the things that I need to suggest is as soon as somebody gets onboarded into Notion, probably just to provide a handout, like a manual on how to work the basic things on Notion. Some people are not versed on how to use Notion, and it will be very helpful to get that right at the get go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me keep everything on track and organize my chaos. It makes creating plans for our teams and customers easier.
Effortless Note-Taking, But Needs Better Calendar Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I like the AI transcription/note-taking feature in Notion because it lets me be fully present in meetings while ensuring I have an accurate record. The tables and tagging/filtering in Notion are nice because I can filter and sort by client, meeting type, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it could pull meetings from my Outlook work calendar. You only let it sync to one calendar even at $240 a year subscription?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like Notion's AI transcription for accurate meeting notes, letting me stay present. Tables and tagging/filtering help me organize by client or meeting type.
Customizable and Prototyping-Friendly, But Navigation Needs Work
What do you like best about the product?
I like how customizable and quick to prototyping Notion is. The basic features are quite good, and the search and AI features are helpful. It's a very easy way to spin up some concepts and ideas, letting us focus on the content. The coloration and comments are intuitive, and the notifications, though persistent, really improve visibility. I also use it with Linear and integrate it with Slack and Cursor, which enhances my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it's really hard to navigate and it's so creatively free that sometimes it's hard to know where to start. I think a more centralized splash page could be good... though I can't complain because I could just build that myself. It was alright; I got lost quite a bit. But now I know the search and stuff is quite helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion as a centralized hub of information for engineering docs and knowledge management. It's very customizable and quick for prototyping, allowing me to focus on content rather than formatting, with intuitive collaboration features and improved visibility through notifications.
Seamless User Experience, Ideal for Daily Work
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the user experience in Notion is pretty seamless. It's very user-friendly when it comes to doing things, which is probably the biggest advantage for me. I also noticed that Notion AI allows for searching, which has been a positive experience. Additionally, the feature that keeps track of all your touches in Notion has been pretty useful in my opinion.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes searching is not a trivial thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion as a task board, for one-on-one meetings, note-taking, and document sharing. It's user-friendly on both laptop and cell phone.
Amazing Database Capabilities and White Pages
What do you like best about the product?
What I prefer about Notion is the database blog, which is really extremely comprehensive. I also appreciate the blank pages that just allow you to type text easily in Markdown, it's really enjoyable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The management of different workspaces, the management of paying members or guests could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to orchestrate a lot of data in depth, writing on each page with statuses and properties. It's the key to organizing my life.
Highly Flexible Tool for Clinical Practice Management
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Notion helps with clinical documentation, workflow organization, and knowledge management. The initial onboarding process was intuitive with a manageable learning curve, and the templates were helpful for quickly setting up structured workflows. The platform's flexible structure allows me to centralize research, prep, and track tasks all in one place. I love the knowledge management features that support continuity across sessions and reduce my cognitive load. The customization options in Notion are great as they allow alignment with clinical frameworks and workflows. I'm really enjoying the Notion AI in the business account, as it helps in developing workflow automation. Notion works well alongside scheduling and billing tools, aiding smoother practice management. The templates, especially those with database properties, facilitate easy linking without much manual effort, which was a key reason for switching from Evernote.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I'm working with a large amount of data that doesn't have a clear hierarchy, it's a bit difficult to figure out how to organize all of that information in a clear accessible way. Some advanced features do require my time to fully leverage. There are certain automation workflows that could benefit from more intuitive setup guidance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps manage clinical documentation, workflow organization, and knowledge management, centralizing tasks, reducing cognitive load, and improving session prep continuity. The flexible structure and templates streamline workflow, making practice management smoother while enhancing organization and reducing task fragmentation.
Ease of use with Room for Improvements in Security
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use of Notion and its design. I have tried other project management software and I think Notion is good, easy to use, and I love that it offers access to templates created by other users. For me, the initial setup was simple and definitely easier than other software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think they could improve security to make changes in the templates, as team members have accidentally deleted information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for organization, project management, and task visibility.
