Very smooth and practical translation process
What do you like best about the product?
Creating rules for format translation is simply very easy, content management is automatable and support is very responsive, linking to the most popular content translators (google translator), localizing recent projects is quite easy and being able to give live access for our partners to participate in the project execution is simply great.
What do you dislike about the product?
The control panel is not the most practical in the world, it has its errors of location of icons which is not at all pragmatic to move within the program, the payment system also has certain limitations that make me lose time and integration with other software is quite confusing and tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed me to translate my own applications without the need to edit anything, I just add it to the software and it translates it automatically making the work much easier, I can translate to different languages and save each of the translations separately.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Excellent localized translation system.
Memsource - Easy for linguists
What do you like best about the product?
How easy and user-friendly the editor is
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating custom file types is not as easy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating projects with several MT is possible. Documentation is excellent too. Creating support tickets is very useful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a tool easy to learn and use for linguists. Very helpful, the offline editor. I like the colors of the fuzzy matches. I found it very useful that it is possible to select which kind of rights each user can be assigned. Like for example, a service manager can see projects created by other users or not. Or for example, it is also possible to give access or rights to other project templates, so depending on the level of rights, it is possible to edit, delete them or access them. I find it also useful for non-advanced users the way file types are created, although I don't find it very useful for engineers, as it is only possible to apply the configuration at the moment of uploadeing the file.
Memsource: Versatile CAT tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is a nice CAT tool that allows a lot of freedom as you can use it on a web browser. It allows a lot of personalization of workflows, file types, etc. It also allows automation, as you can use widgets to allow your clients to upload their files and get a quote, or even start an automatic workflow for translation. For now I have only used it for testing, but it has a lot of potential. Whether you are a freelancer or work in a translation company, Memsource can be a very useful tool for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that if you want to modify the file type settings after creating a project, you have to resubmit the file and edit the settings in the upload options, it would be nice to be able to edit the file type settings in the project independently of uploading the file again or not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think the automation widgets are very nice, and the API allows to connect with many different tools. It is also compatible with other common CAT tools in the industry, so it wouldn't be a problem if you have to share a project with a person that uses a different tool.
Reduce the workload and easier to use
What do you like best about the product?
The pre-translation has helped and benefited me a lot in translation job and saved much time in the process
What do you dislike about the product?
The blue tag is sometimes troublesome as I translate from TH-ENG and ENG-TH. I need to solve the format when exporting to other file formats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem that you don't have to translate a whole paragrah at once making it look easier to translate with many functions that could help you save a lot of time
Student-friendly CAT tool
