My main use case for Phrase Localization Platform is to build up my career as an independent organization, and I have used many CAT tools in the past. In the past year, I have used Phrase Localization Platform almost every day, and I can say it has helped me hit the ground running and start actively contributing to many projects.
A quick specific example of how I used Phrase Localization Platform in one of my projects is that it tackles many project management issues inherent to working in the industry, such as budgeting, task distribution, and of course, translation and proofreading of several texts.
What is most valuable?
The best features Phrase Localization Platform offers include an extremely intuitive user interface, robust translation memory and team-based tools, and seamless transition between web-based and desktop editors.
I find myself relying on the user interface the most because the user interface and the seamless transition between web-based and desktop editors is brilliant and a huge time saver, especially compared to other solutions in the market. The ability to transition seamlessly between website and desktop editors while collaborating with other translators, proofreaders, and project managers makes a significant difference.
In terms of time, Phrase Localization Platform has really helped us move things fast since it is easy to use, and we have been able to save 50 to 65% of our time.
The areas that saw the most time savings are both translation areas and also project management.
Phrase Localization Platform makes handling those challenges easier for me because the features offered by the product continuously aid teams in ensuring the quality of the work provided.

I have seen a return on investment; it has increased our systems cost considerably. It has generally slowed down the process of launching projects, and also the settings are quite difficult to get right, leading me to waste a lot of capacity adjusting the settings.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing has been that it was affordable and cost-effective.

Before choosing Phrase Localization Platform, I evaluated Trados Studio and Smartling as options.

The advice I would give to others looking into using Phrase Localization Platform is that the system is well-suited if you also run Trados or any second system. Since the system is very expensive and the use of MT is rather complicated to understand, the best approach is to run most larger projects through Trados or any other CAT tool and then import it. Large projects are expensive in Phrase Localization Platform, so I would recommend using it for small projects where you have enough capacity to carefully check the terminology, as the data pulled from the term bases is inconsistent. The same applies to the find and replace feature, which can work great. I would rate this product 9 out of 10 overall.

What needs improvement?
Phrase Localization Platform can be improved with the customization of the QA option, but I'm being particular about that.
I would appreciate it if translators could have access to the source file in the tool. I would prefer to have the lock segment feature more accessible. I use Phrase Localization Platform on a daily basis to translate and review translations from my organization. I don't have experience with the project design part, but from my experience, it is very useful, user-friendly, and the interface is very intuitive and easy to use.
Phrase Localization Platform serves as our translation tool. In the past, we used Groupshare, and I have a lot of experience with a variety of systems. Phrase Localization Platform has some good features. The ease of use is complicated by poor service. It is an acceptable solution, but the price is not reflected in the product as service quality.
The team basis feature is user-friendly, convenient, and straightforward among many favorite CAT software. The analysis of consumed TMS helps my team particularly when we have huge files. I have always worked with the TMS and DBs provided by clients, so I don't have experience creating them from scratch. What I appreciate most about Phrase Localization Platform is that it has a user-friendly interface where you have all you need during translation.
