Fast. Really fast. And speed is money.
What do you like best about the product?
Fast. Just fast. It never makes me wait for any operation. These precious moments accumulate into work done. No bugs, no delays, no questions "what is going on?!", no doubts. Simple, precise, and efficient as Kalashnikov. It beats all competitors by speed and reliability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited functionality. UI tweaks and additional functions and options will be welcomed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It just helps me to earn more, much more money in a given time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try and compare with the competitors. I did it and chose Memsource.
Awesome Customer Service!
What do you like best about the product?
Memsource is a great CAT tool, especially for beginners who have no previous experience in using Computer Assisted Translation. I save time and effort using all features the program offers to translators who work on a tight schedule. And a special mention to Customer Service: fast, accurate and patient people who are always there to help. Thank you!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't find any aspects I dislike. I'm very happy with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best is I work quicker and more accurately using all the features Memsource provides. I strongly suggest to my colleagues to participate in the webinars the company offers to its users.
Perfect CAT tool for freelancers
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Memsource since my Masters' studies in 2014, and I consider it the best tool for freelancers. It's intuitive, very easy to use, and can be used for almost any type of project. I love it, share it, and recommend it to colleagues and agencies I work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only problem might be that Memsource does not quite read PDFs in the Cyrillic alphabet -- it usually creates additional signs that cannot be found in the original file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem I have is solved: I get a source text, I upload it to Memsource, and I have a perfectly formatted target text.
Great service, smart company.
What do you like best about the product?
Memsource is a great partner to work with. Great support also. The service they provide makes a difference and helps us to reach excellent levels of quality for our customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. It's great to be able to rely on a trustworthy company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Memsource provides us the right tools for our collaborators. The REST API is handy for us to cleanly integrate their services in our web applications.
Great, intuitive translation tool for project managers and linguists
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Memsource for 5+ years, and I can genuinely say I'm a huge fan! It's an intuitive and easy-to-use platform which is great because we have easily and quickly trained many translators on its use. As a PM, it's helped me organize and centralise my work, plus there are many tools and specific configurations that really improve translation quality (ie. converting html codes to tags so that they are not easily broken in files). I feel they consistently add new features and improve things too. Last but not least, the support team is really great and responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the way termbases are updated could be improved. Also, it would be great to have more options regarding translation memories. Furthermore, the reporting capabilities are great but it would be useful to have some more options to customise the way they are generated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've centralised all our translation requests, in all areas, with Memsource. It's also allowed us to save a lot of time and money by using translation memories and the ability to "pretranslate" with previous translation requests. The reporting element has also helped us a lot with our invoicing processes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's definitely worth it if you want to have all your multilingual translation resources in one single place: different projects for different types of requests, translation memories, termbases, etc.
Great tool and amazing customer service!
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase’s customer service is exceptional. In my entire career as a localization manager, I’ve never encountered a TMS with such a dedicated and supportive team. They are consistently patient, helpful, and insightful—going above and beyond by walking my team through new features more times than I can count.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’ve been trying to think of something critical to say, but honestly—everything is great! Of course, there are occasional bugs that take longer to resolve, but that’s to be expected, as issues are prioritized based on impact. The bugs affecting more users and the most requested features are naturally addressed first, which makes perfect sense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase is solving several key challenges in the localization process. It centralizes all our translation workflows, improves collaboration between teams, and integrates seamlessly with our development tools. This has significantly reduced manual work, increased consistency across languages, and sped up our time-to-market. By streamlining communication and automating routine tasks, it allows our team to focus on quality and strategy rather than logistics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommand Memsource to anyone looking for a CAT tool/Translation Management System whether it is for translation purposes only or for project management.
The best tool for fast and efficient translation work
What do you like best about the product?
The main advantage is that it's so easy to use for beginners. The fact that it's cloud-based means you can work from anywhere, including your mobile phone. The QA and terminology checks are quicker than the competitors', and the transition from one workflow step to the other is seemless. I also like that the Support team is always prompt to respond tickets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some elements are not user-friendly, especially the dashboards. Some basic features are also missing, such as setting multiple domains/subdomains to your projects or customers, or refreshing the filter in the file editor. Also, the fact that you can't have multiple custom file types (e.g. XML) in a project template is a big minus compared to the competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main benefits for us are with the external file review. No more exporting to bilingual Word files and trying to import broken files! Our reviewers also enjoy being able to preview the final file while they work on it.
User-friendly tool with excellent customer service
What do you like best about the product?
The support agents! Whatever issue you face, the customer service is excellent. The responsiveness and politeness surprises me every time.
The UI is clean and tidy, which makes this software stand out of the crowd. For project managers, it offers many solutions to streamline the process and reduce boring side tasks to a minimum (templates, workflows or connectors for example). The editor is fast and the QA tool is great.

What do you dislike about the product?
The system has a limit of 10 active users per PM and if you need more users, you have to buy another PM. This makes things tricky and expensive for projects with many language combinations, especially if they are frequent. This is the only negative aspect I can think of but hopefully, the team will soon come up with an alternative plan to avoid this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since Memsource allows you to give access to translators, we managed to avoid compatibility issues between different CAT tools and we could finally drop file exchanges. Thanks to the cloud solution, several translators can work on the same project simultaneously with no delays.
Seamless all-in-one solution
What do you like best about the product?
Filter versatility and constant updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot combine regex tagging and segmentation in a way that fits some of my projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Localization project management for multilingual projects is easy and stable.
Memsource as a Translation Management System for a hybrid videogame localization team
What do you like best about the product?
We really appreciate the easy and self-explanatory interface of Memsource, especially for the Linguist accounts, which made it easy for us to incorporate new and rather unexperienced translators in our workflow. Additionally, I have enjoyed the many webinars and the info material provided by Memsource. Whenever there was a technical issue the user support was very quick to reply.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features we are missing, e.g. the adjustment of formal/informal tone within a machine translation engine like DeepL. The management of translation memory and term bases could be easier (editing/updating translation memories, editing/updating multilingual term bases).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to manage a hybrid team of in-house and freelance translators who work on various continous projects. As the interface is easy to understand and there is a lot of educational material, it is easy to incorporate new members to the team without having to invest much time in explaining the tool.
Regarding the functions of a CAT tool, we mostly use the term bases as our translations are very creative and there is not much of a translation memory involved.
As a Project Manager it is easy to analyze texts and calculate quotes for our external translators, without having to invest much time in looking these functions up.
