Great for team collaboration!

  • October 25, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Great for team collaboration and allows for important items to be kept in one spot. Having the the search function is also really nice to find items within Confluence at any time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being that I have to sign into Atlasssian to get into Confluence, it would be nice to have a better integration with JIRA (having a single sign on screen though is very nice).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping important things documented and organized.

Easy Wiki with a Quick Setup

  • October 25, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is an easy, cheap and remote hosted wiki. It allows for easy WYSIWYG editing as well as Macros and traditional wiki programming. It is versatile and works across roles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence can be slow from time to time. This is likely because it is hosted and we lose that control.

There are also only integrations with other Atlassian products, but because we do not use Hipchat or Jira, we are out of luck.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing knowledge and editing is really simple. It can be accessed anywhere, so our remote folks can get the same information all at the same time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are not ready to host something internally, this is a great option for you. It is cheap and relatively easy. It was also very simple to get started.

Great Knowledge Base Tool

  • October 24, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use confluence for our internal communication and knowledge base. We also use it for documents that we know are going to be needed by future hires. For this purpose, it is a great solution.

Our dev team also uses it for all of their internal documentation so they do not end up reinventing the wheel.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system is developed with a folder system style layout. While this can be effective I think there are some other ways to make the data for individual users easier to find and get to. Maybe setting up views for each user based on who they are and what they do what be beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Internal knowledge base for new hires and similar situations coming up over and over again.

Compliance - Our company uses this database to ensure that everybody is following the guidelines that we have set out for different situations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your company is looking for a place to host all of your internal documentation. And I mean all of it. Then this is a great solution. And the product is very scalable.

The search can be a little clunky at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing knowledge about systems in a single place, neatly organised to help ease of access for developers and front line support staff.

Very good product for Documentation

  • October 20, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
In my experience, Confluence is good for
1. All shared documentation(text, excels etc) in network drives are replaced by Confluence.
2. Documentation for business processes, policies and procedures, technical information, etc.
3. Single sign-on
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no way to convert our previous documentation from Fogbugz to Confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since our company is small and we purchased a 100 user licenses and but if we like more, we have to jump to 500 users that is too much for us. But overall we are very happy about this product.
