It works ok for some things, but needs updating
What do you like best about the product?
It's worked well for knowledge base type stuff, but we just ended up moving mostly to Google or Dropbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
Site needs updating. It feels pretty out of date.

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence has many ways to make a page unique to a specific team.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my use of Confluence for shared documents with other teams, it was difficult to track changes made to a document by other teams, like other document sharing programs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used Confluence to share documents throughout teams for review and editing. We have realized the benefit of everyone having access to the same document, without it being stored on everyone's individual team drives.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take any training available for this product. It seems challenging, but with the right training, time and effort, a team can create a confluence page unique to them, with great reporting capabilities.

We need to understand and remember suyntax.

That it is very collaborative. Easy way to track project status among the team. We also use it for our team calendar to make sure we always have coverage.

It was a little hard to learn how to use.

Project trackers and making sure deliverables are being met. We solve team work issues across global teams.

More training time on using product it can be a little hard to pick up quickly

It's easy to make updates and review. It's basically like Wikipedia only with our work stuff.

The overall table of contents can be difficult to navigate, and the search engine isn't the greatest.

The hierarchy can be messing and tedious at times.

Document organization. A central place to store, notes, documents, and information that others can collaborate and edit.

Sometimes format (for example bullets and indentation) are not easy to manipulate, especially when there is macro used together.

Recording all business discussion and publishing to wider audience so that people can be on top of topics.

The ability to seamlessly collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not knowing who space admins are, and wait time to get things addressed by them.

Healthcare IT. The benefits include being able to manage an entire project and its deliverables in one, easily accessible location, while being able to receive timely feedback from engaged stakeholders.

Use the pages for document generation and editing, instead of uploading docs for review.

You can create, share, and collaborate on projects all in one place. Gives you a central place to keep your team's work organized and accessible, making it easier to find the information needed to keep work moving forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not that easy to manage, too many alternatives so gives too many options. Too many options are not always a good thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows for projects to be kept in one place, thus keeps your projects moving forward, faster. It's transparency and organization and this too benefits any who use it.

This software is a content collaboration software that changes how modern teams work and I would definitely recommend it
