rights management sometimes difficult to handle for single users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
creating a space to work together as substitute to file shares - adding collaboration functions as comments to pages
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Invest in the soft facts of implementation - e.g. setting up standards of usage and prevent people from setting up autonomous islands within the tool

1 Year experience in Confluence to track requirements
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is good to have along with JIRA to track, manage and communicate requirements, project control documentation with stakeholders perfectly. It is easy for technical and non-technical users.
Users can use this tool the meeting follow up, minutes.
The requirements are used to tie to user stories and tasks in JIRA as a part of Agile, Scrum working model.
Confluence and JIRA integration is a huge benefits to have for project tracking and they both come from Atlassian that has a big community. Therefore we can be easy to search and learn from them.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is no built in function to allow to link the requirements to test plan/test cases. This is the part of quality tractability metrics
It is also hard to collaborate requirements, test plan, test cases and issues in JIRA.
There is no approval flow to allow users to review and approve controlled documents.
Edit mode is not really flexible. It would be better if there are more edit functions like Microsoft Word

Confluence Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like that many people can collaborate and add to wiki and how to docs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The formatting options are not great. Copying and pasting in works, but you can never get the same formatting using the tool bar provided by Confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A cental location for all eng/development docs. This is widely used by ENG and Product but is a good resource for my Customer Success Team. This is where we can find documents on how to change code and view any new feature and changes that we can make ourselves.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
LIkely google's wiki is better.
Easy to communicate key information internally
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence makes it easy to share information in a democratic way. Any team can edit information relevant to their capabilities, which makes sharing easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not immediately intuitive, especially to navigate between different company pages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to communicate all internal information: what systems we use, company policies, etc.
Perfect way to get a project in front of the team and not have it swept under the rug.
What do you like best about the product?
Creating a ticket in JIRA and then having the whole team see it is great. It's really fantastic to create a ticket for something, no matter how trivial it seems, and having it documented and visible for the company to consider.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding images to tickets already created seems to be a bit more hassle than when a ticket is created.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're making sure no task, bug, or issue gets forgotten. As long as you create a ticket, you've put the issue on the board. Now if only I could remember to create a ticket when I say I will.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are a lot of moving parts to JIRA, so take your time and explore.
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best things about Confluence is that it is easy to navigate. This means that employees who are new to the solution find it easy to catch on and are able to get up to speed quickly. Additionally, Confluence is works well for documentation collaboration and the notifications allow you to keep updated on version changes as they occur.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, the hierarchy of pages can be confusing. I would like to see an easier layout for this. Otherwise, this is a good solutions that I don't dislike much about!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence provides an easy way to manage content throughout the organization and across many different continents. We find that this solution keeps us organized and on the same page because we are able to see updates in real time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend taking advantage of the free trial to make sure this is the right solution for you. When utilizing the solution, be sure to watch the page you're interested in getting an update on so that you see the notifications about changes.
