What do you like best about the product?
I really like it because it's the best place where you can put your knowlege in, then share it with your colleagues or the company. Most important is that it offers the possibility to discuss new ideas and collagorate with your colleagues. It also provides integration with Jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is sometimes slow and you get errors when people are editing the same thing at the same time. I think this could be improved a little
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing important information across the company and teams. You are able to discuss ideas and submit documents.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence is a great tool, but as great as the plugins it have. So if you have many plugins, then it gets better and better. It would definitely help you in your day to day work.

Confluence is a useful tool for docs

  • December 05, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create nicely-formatted docs. Easy to send links and share with others. It is good to use when you use widgets such as tables, graphs, calendar. We use it for the team calendar too which is really useful (better than using outlook invites at work).
What do you dislike about the product?
User permissions are confusing. I am not always sure who has permission to what pages on Confluence. Also, the version control gets a little confusing sometimes when you are trying to compare earlier versions with the current version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to store and share documentation/info/resources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is very useful if you need to store and share docs

Another seamlessly integrated Atlassian Product

  • December 05, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Seamless integration with other Atlassian products like JIRA and Bitbucket. If you are going to use one of these products you might as well use the other.

Neat interface with easy formatting.

A great enterprise-wide collaboration tool.

Fully customizable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like JIRA the fact that it is fully customizable is also a problem in that configuration can be over-engineered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All our company documentation is held in confluence. Architects, Executive Management, Marketing and Developers alike all use Confluence in our business.

    Political Organization

Good organization tool

  • December 05, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the idea of spaces for different team members, as well as the overall team. It is easy to navigate a tree structure to drill down with more details as needed. Additionally, you can track changes, make comments, review changes, and get notified when someone updates something. The tool is also easily searchable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard when you log in and can make it hard to navigate- I often had to just bookmark my most used pages. Sometimes the editing tools made it hard to get the specific format I wanted for the article.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team integration, one central location for all internal documentation. Notification of documentation updates.

Using Confluence in a software development company

  • December 05, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence makes it easy for us to document specific company information, employee details, software specifics and implementation, procedures for specific tasks and many other things. Being able to comment on any page allows for team-based feedback and quick iteration and improvement to the pages. The built in tools for adding graphics, text formatting and hyperlinks makes it a breeze to put a new page together or edit an existing one. Search tools are quick and responsive and allow you to find the pages you want in no time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real issue I've had so far is that embedding images in a page can sometimes be a bit tricky and it's not always clear if you've done it correctly as the preview mode doesn't usually load the images you've added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence as our main platform for storing company-wide information on employees, software development methods and processes, upcoming technological implementations we're currently working on and test procedures. We use the commenting and editing system to work in a team-based manner of collaboration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want an excellent CMS system for internal company use, I'd definitely recommend Confluence. Using as a wiki platform has been extremely useful in our company and it's ease of use has made it a pivotal part of our development process.

What do you like best about the product?
Integration with JIRA & easy page linking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited table design/editing, archived pages remain visible in subpage trees and are not obviously labeled as an archived page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowledge sharing and process implementation/improvements. I have been able to easily update processes and share information in an easy to find location.
