Wiki for Jira
What do you like best about the product?
As in Jira, easy to make nicely formatted documentation that links easily to Jira stories, with pictures and images, file attachments with no hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
You get out of it what you put into it. Organization can get messy if unmaintained. This is not a product problem, but the product doesn't really help in this area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication and documentation of development designs and methodology/thinking. Recording of design decisions and reasons/context behind the decisions.
Great wiki
What do you like best about the product?
We use Confluence for our wiki, it's very easy to edit and publish reviews. Security is decent as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a slight learning curve, I wish you could make tables easier. For example, we have to make a registration key list for our IT department and the editor is kind of wonky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wiki. Problem-solving in IT with the solutions as well as procedures for installing software and setting up new computers.

The ability to add articles or change content as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a cleaner interface for more efficiency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this for comapny content - how to’s, policies, etc. It’s beneficial to have a place where we can search for content quickly.
Good for internal wikis, but not much else
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is strong for keeping our team in sync with internal process docs that can be referred to and refreshed when needed. Collaboration is made easy with easy real-time editing, and it is also very simple to search and find and previous docs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to visually display more than just plain-text, including any necessary graphs / charts. For this reason, it's hard to customize your internal docs with visuals that would better explain processes. Also, the UI can be difficult to navigate, as many of the elements are hidden and it takes a bit of playing around to get used to using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We highlight our key internal docs in Confluence, and everyone on our team knows to go there to find them. This has better disseminated information across all internal squads.
Great platform for team collaboration.
What do you like best about the product?
Fast and easy way to store and share information within a team.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are not careful you can end up spamming your entire team every time you edit a document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are storing and sharing our best practices and solutions to common problems.

Lots of potential
What do you like best about the product?
I like that confluence has unlimited potential to upload docs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does seem to lack organization. Things can get convoluted, in my experience, when there’s so much data in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’ve been able to condense our information on this site.
