  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is designed well and is very helpful. It helps to collaborate between different departments. It is very useful and easy to use. It has various features like the task to be assigned to someone or to solve the issue which are very helpful. I like this program very much.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there is unnecessary updating. I would recommend to review the design of the program like colours, etc. and to update it from time to time not to get tired of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it in our teamwork. The department issues are various during the day. I am passing the issues to relevant departments to be solved. I like the feature that is there is e-mail notification of the process of the task so that you will be aware of every moment of its solution or transferring. to other departments or resolving it in some cases. Besides, I like this program very much, indeed. It helps us a lot in our heavy work. It makes our routine easier and productive. It solves many problems of the day work. I think it is an excellent finding for huge companies or enterprises. I cannot imagine my work without it so far. In addition, I like the program very much. It can be used in different spheres and will be helpful in any case.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a very good program, easy to use and perfectly made.

Too many notifications
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Group collaboration on documents
particularly for status updates and collaborative creation - such as designs

Best in Class Wiki

  • June 26, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is easy to use and supports a range of plugins to enhance the capability. It is used by our business for all internal wiki and documentation requirements. Great for open and collaborative teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence's ease of use creates some challenges in terms of creating a storage model that enables information to be stored in a way to index and find it later. It has a limited hierarchical structure against other competing products which creates some challenges over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We store all our development team internal documentation and use its integration with Jira to provide up to date information on work in progress. It has significantly reduced wasted time from staff trying to find the latest information about our development teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand the structure of how you want to store and create pages in Confluence before you begin. Without appropriate archtiecture and on going management, the system can become unweildy.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can organize everything into Confluence, ie, including all of your JIRA tasks and information. It's very versatile.
What do you dislike about the product?
Linking docs directly without using tools will lose linking if something is updated on the doc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving for having everything in one place. It's been more organized, search on Confluence is very good.

Good for data sharing

  • June 25, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can have various privacy settings, and I like that it is sort of like a ‘wiki’ experience
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not so simple to hyperlink to other pages. Macros aren’t very intuitive and easy to figure out on your own. You almost need training to use confluence effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to share knowledge within and between teams
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out first - it might bug you how much of a learning curve there is.

Helpful but challenging to use

  • June 24, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The concept. It was helpful at my last university job to have and use this for interdepartmental communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
Aesthetically, it was lacking, and it was tough to use. I needed more than one training course on the product, which everyone doesn’t always get.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Interdepartmental communication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it, but be ready for the learning curve and don’t expect an aesthetically impressive system.

Confluence is Perfect for Sharing Work on Custom Applications!

  • June 23, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that meeting notes and logs or work can be shared through confluence and jira to track work and create metrics on what has been completed and what still needs to be completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you cannot easily access information in a deep level with the dashboard. I wish there was a more reliable search function that could get you to information you want to access again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are recording meeting notes and documenting information regarding custom application frameworks, networks, databases and any software tools that our group uses. Essentially we are using the agile framework!
