Great product
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use, share, modify. Great integration with JIRA and other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
No good revision control. Equations support is not present. Wish it would automatically allow LaTeX code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documentation, training, communication. Makes onboarding easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool depending on needs
Confluence at work
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is very easy to access and use to access information on a daily basis for training team members. The speed of the page loading, and information search is very fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very hard to edit articles and add attachments. I feel there should be an easy link somewhere visible when I enter confluence that I can access to show me simply how to add attachments (training screenshots). The last item I don't like about confluence is that once you are in a page to view the page can be moved in the middle left to right. This is great for reading information, but the information on one side or the other that you still want to view is being covered and does not move with the page, so you can loose track of where you are.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It had really helped me in mentoring employees on how to setup products in my company. I also found that it is a great source for me to come visit when I am trying to find out more inform
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great tool for training others because you can really put information in concise pages for others to view to follow along and train. I recommend you navigate around in confluence and you will find an awesome toolbar with search, settings and help buttons.
a great tool to keep everything well organized
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most is that it can connect to a lot more tools and that it is very convenient to find documentation later on.
What do you dislike about the product?
what I like the least is that from time to time it logs me out and I have to re-enter my username and password
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we use it mainly to keep the documentation well organized
Recommendations to others considering the product:
a very interesting tool to have everything well managed and stored
Very good software for managing products.
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to make changes to any documentation and share them with co-workers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Was somewhat slow when we were using it. Otherwise it was very good software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence made it very very easy to keep track of hundreds of pages of documentation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend this for any company with large amounts of documentation to manage.
Documents in the cloud
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence has made it possible to store and have everything in one place. Having a shared unit makes it easier this way and also allows for connecting more teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Improve the search to make it easier to access what you are looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Confluence, it is not necessary to resort to other applications to upload files and thus place all the documentation I store in one place.
Great features but mediocre user experience
What do you like best about the product?
The sharing features of the software they allow for quick collaboration
What do you dislike about the product?
The user experience of the software, the mobile experience is painful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing internal how to articles, and quick to access information
Interface creation
What do you like best about the product?
What I liked most about this tool is the simplicity and ease when creating pages/spaces for your company. Also, the possibility of creating macros that adapt to your interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I didn't like was that sometimes the section called 'Custom HTML' would delete itself, and if you didn't have a saved copy, you would lose everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A new interface was created to organize all the stored information into spaces, making it easier to find.
confluence review
What do you like best about the product?
i like it very posting all the notes from all different meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
the links posting is a little messy. it’s not clear on the priority on posting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has good for all the notes storing.
Handy space for team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity of creating new spaces - no complex user management. Additional features like formatting and adding macros move work with Confluence to next level. Great variability with plugins (free or commercial) you can download from Atlassian marketplace.
With last update Confluence introduced online editing feature - so team can collaborate online on one document together.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes formatting goes wrong when using IE browser, but it depends on you company browser policy and settings that are allowed. UX might be slightly user friendly - but it gets better over time and small steps towards neat UX are made with each update.
As content grows it´s important to pay attention to content governance a keep you documents, spaces and pages organized.

Confluence is great as wiki team space or shared space for DEV documentation. Previously we used Confluence as unofficial intranet sites. You can easily create project page or canvas and share it quickly to project participants.
Great benefits are with sharing and connecting are with JIRA software (e.g. - sharing JIRA issues - connecting Confluence wiki pages to JIRA issues - using active links...)

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are using lots of plugins pay attention to their pricing condition. Very often the vendors changing from free to pay model. Apps / plugins are billed based on the number of users in your host product (Confluence).
Good features, but can be hard to navigate
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to have large teams all report on work and to have a time line. Easy to insert various media to show plots and graphs/tables/records etc. This is very convenient for our team of 30 people, of which maybe a handful may have large updates/presentations, whereas others might have just text or a graph or two.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigating the pages seems quite difficult. To find certain pages, is quite a chore, especially because the search functionality seems limited in its capability to hone in on a certain page. Finding a child page can also be hard to search for unless you know the exact title.
Furthermore, the feature 'notify watchers' seems to always be checked by default. For a team of 30 people, this can cause quite a lot of spam as we use confluence for our weekly meetings. If one really wanted this feature, they would check the box. If I am not trying to send a miniscule update to everyone on my team, I often forget to UNCHECK this box.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping lasting records of meetings to give an account of work to make compiling reports for higher ups easier. Moreso, being able to try to find old presentations given at meetings in previous weeks. This makes it easy to look back on a cool result or feature presented much later down the line, or look at when performing up follow up works.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a decent content management system, however simple things a s a google doc or evernote sheet are much lower barrier to entry if you don't need many of the extra features.
