Streamlined Team Collaboration with Robust Features
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Confluence for its strong capabilities in facilitating team collaboration. The software offers two modes, one providing edit access and the innovative 'live doc' feature introduced with the new version of Confluence. I find the live access particularly useful as it enables me to see who is making changes in real time, complete with version control and version history. This feature is invaluable in settings like running a retrospective meeting, allowing participants to write simultaneously while I can identify each person’s input through their cursor movements. This visibility helps me understand the personas of team members and craft my responses to questions, avoiding confrontations. The integration of Confluence within the Atlassian family with tools like Jira and Trello, creates a powerful combination that enhances our workflow. Additionally, setting up Confluence with single sign-on (SSO) is seamless, syncing effortlessly with corporate email IDs, making the process as smooth as butter. These elements together underscore Confluence as a robust platform for documentation and collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see an improvement in the integration speed of AI with Confluence. If AI could work alongside the way we are writing and enhance the delivery and tone, it could allow teams to understand and plan their activities better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Confluence as a one-stop solution to document epics and stories, capture resource metrics, and plan team activities. It facilitates collaboration with features like live editing and version tracking, enhancing team coordination and efficiency.
Confluence: Perfect Tool for Detailed Process Management
What do you like best about the product?
I find Confluence quite handy for easily looking up any process needed for working on specific contracts. It provides detailed information like provider details and supplier exclusion, which is crucial for us. Having everything in a very detailed process really helps in resolving contracts and understanding when and how to send expiring contract reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes if something has to be updated, we need to get permission from the administrator because I'm not the administrator who can add it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Confluence for product mapping, understanding each product process in detail. It's helpful for newcomers, clears every point needed in contracts, saves time, and minimizes risk of error.
Confluence
What do you like best about the product?
i like how easy it is to keep everything in one place for our csm team. we use confluence as a knowledge base, and it makes it simple to organize processes, training materials, and internal documentation without things getting messy. it’s straightforward to update, the search works well enough for quick lookups, and it keeps everyone on the same page without needing extra tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
it can feel a little clunky at times, especially with formatting or trying to move sections around. the editor can be slow, and some features that should be simple take more steps than expected. also, finding older content isn’t always intuitive unless it’s already well-tagged or linked. nothing major...just small frustrations that may add up...solid admining helps
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
confluence helps us centralize everything our csm team needs in one place. instead of information being scattered across emails, chats, or old documents, we use it as a single source of truth for processes, training materials, and best practices. it cuts down on repeat questions, makes onboarding smoother, and keeps the team aligned without having to chase down answers.
Effortless Document Uploads and User-Friendly Experience
What do you like best about the product?
ease of use and uploading documents. it helps us to keep track of documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything I dislike about confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
keeping our documents in one place
Centralized Information and Total Access Control
What do you like best about the product?
Consolidate all business information allowing for access control and creating clear and well-structured documentation at the product, security, and operational process levels.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is necessary to add a bit more granularity in the profiles and roles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enrich the Product Process and strengthen the business documentation
Powerful and Flexible, But Requires Careful Management
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is very powerful and flexible. It allows us to create and manage a wide range of documentation, both for our internal teams, and for our external client partners. It features helpful and powerful functionality and integrations that enable us to connect documents to one another and other sources to keep things well maintained and accurate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence is so flexible and there are so many features that it really comes down to how you use and maintain it. If not managed well, it can become a burdensome tool that is difficult to navigate and maintain, but again, this comes down to how well you and your team set it up and keep it maintained.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is giving us a centralised and connected place for managing all team and project documentation.
Collaboration Friendly, But Search Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I find Confluence invaluable for documenting my designs, making it easier for stakeholders to navigate through design workflows, review designs, and share feedback. It serves as an excellent collaboration tool between designers and stakeholders. I love the ability to keep different design features organized in one place, which aids significantly in collaboration and helps stakeholders access designs easily. Furthermore, it works exceptionally well as a resource for stakeholders and allows me to track old designs and documentation efficiently. The initial setup was intuitive, reminiscent of Microsoft Word yet tailored better for design purposes, making the transition smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the search functionality in Confluence frustrating at times because it often feels unintuitive, and I struggle to find what I'm looking for, especially in older documentation. It feels like going down a rabbit hole. Additionally, when attaching Figma links, the display shows a widget for Figma login rather than presenting the design component directly in the widget, which could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Confluence to document design workflows, making it easier for stakeholders to review, share feedback, and navigate through designs. It helps track old designs and documentation. However, the search can be unintuitive, requiring improvement.
Review of Confluence
What do you like best about the product?
It feels like Google Docs, it is easy to collaborate
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's hard to find other folders, I can only really see the section I'm currently viewing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping documentation at work be accessible company wide, with multiple people collaborating in writing
Easy access and integration, but sluggish performance
What do you like best about the product?
I find it great that Confluence is accessible from anywhere, which significantly eases access to always up-to-date content. The simple capture of data and the countless possibilities to further develop and format it are particularly valuable to me. The direct integration of existing content from other Atlassian products is extremely practical, and the ability to export content for delivery to the customer without having to create Word files yourself is very time-saving. Another advantage is the uniform formatting across all content, which makes the presentation more professional. I also appreciate the fact that with Confluence we were able to completely replace the additional authentication that was previously necessary to access network drives in the company network. This saves time and provides a fail-safety that our IT team no longer has to worry about. It was also particularly impressive how easy it was to switch from the server installation to the cloud early on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Loading the content is quick, but all apps, etc., take forever to load, and until they are fully loaded, editing Pages is usually not recommended. The editor becomes very sluggish when editing pages with a lot of content and is even unusable for excessively long pages. It would be helpful if there were a direct suggestion to split large pages into several smaller pages, possibly with a tool that assists in the separation without losing content or dependencies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence replaces access to network drives, eliminates additional authentication steps, and ensures failover, which relieves our IT team. It enables direct content integration, uniform formatting, and easy added value through worldwide access to up-to-date content.
Facilitate Documentation and Open Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Confluence makes it easy to share information with stakeholders from different parts of the organization, as it offers an open and accessible space for everyone. It is a tool that allows me to dive into all the company's projects and search for specific information about features that interest me, which helps me to be better informed and to make more targeted inquiries to the responsible team. Additionally, I appreciate that it is quite easy to use, making interactions with the tool not require prior training. Creating new projects in Confluence is also simple, resulting in a fairly smooth and efficient user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
When editing a long page, I have to scroll a lot to be able to continue writing after the last thing that was written.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Confluence to document functionalities and share information with stakeholders. It facilitates access to project information and is easy to use, improving collaboration and data recording.
