Confluence: Elevating Document Creation and Team Collaboration

  • April 21, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how Confluence is great for documents and collaboration between teams, much better than Google Docs or any other tool we've used before. The documents look more professional and are easily scannable. I enjoy the AI integration, which helps us save time and come up with new templates and premade documents that we just tweak instead of starting from scratch. I love the integration with other tools we use, like Jira and Loom. Jira integration is immensely useful for project management tasks and making Jira tickets visible in Confluence documents. Embedding Loom is easy and useful for quickly sharing updates, which a lot of our team leaders use. Confluence is fairly intuitive, requiring minimal setup, and admins are helpful in troubleshooting and teaching features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding more visual elements a bit easier. Being more creative with text fields, with tables, with dynamic objects, or even background colors on the documents to make them stand out even more, rather than all looking kind of a little bit similar after using the product for quite a long time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Confluence for document creation and team collaboration. It makes documents look more professional and scannable compared to Google Docs, and it's great for brainstorming.

Confluence Makes Knowledge Discovery Easy with Clean Navigation and Strong Jira Integration

  • April 21, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence as a product has been quite beneficiary for me to dig through the relevant information needed to perform my job. The kind of navigation and front end clean look it has, is very easy on the eye and to understand. Its integration with JIRA has been one of key enablers in usage for the same. The quick search results sorted by dates has been a great performer which refines my search and gives me more information on relevant topics. The ROI of this integration has been great with Rovo as AI feature in the same. Also, the support for this product is very much instant and quick resolutions had made life easy for me.
Overall, this is a great product to explore and research on data/documentation repository of any kind of knowledge base.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are very few things I dislike about it, but I’ll mention a couple. The way pages are nested under a given topic could be improved so that moving through the content and navigating from one knowledge point to another feels smoother and more intuitive. Also, the AI integration of Rovo can be improved way better to find relevant context on the information base we are looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to rely on standalone documents and Excel sheets, which were really difficult to share in real time and didn’t work well as a knowledge-sharing space or knowledge repository for our organization. This always increased our turnaround time for getting work done. With Confluence, we now have real-time access to the entire knowledge repository, and we don’t need to touch base with anyone to find what we need, which clearly saves us time.

Centralized Knowledge and Smooth Integration with Confluence

  • April 21, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Confluence at work for the past couple of years now and honestly it's become one of those tools which you love. All our 'how we do things' pages live here, including onboarding docs, process flows, meeting notes, etc. Confluence makes it easy because it's all central, in one place, and everyone knows about it. I like its template, macros, table of contents, and Jira integrations. Its search feature is great, and versioning and permissions make it even nicer. Templates help in ease of starting and organizing, and macros make it easier to integrate knowledge across the pages. And, table of contents, they make me happy - I like knowing beforehand what territory I am about to enter. The initial setup of Confluence was easy and smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
The editor could be improved - it feels clunky sometimes and the software is a little bit pricier. In the older versions, the editor was simple and smoother, though it missed a few features. The new editor has all those features, but it feels rough while using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence centralizes our documentation, making it easy to access onboarding docs, process flows, and notes. Templates and macros help organize and integrate information efficiently. Its search and versioning features are great for quick information retrieval.

Streamlines Documentation with Collaborative Challenges

  • April 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the detailing and how easily I can find things in Confluence. I also appreciate the way I could lock my documents, ensuring specific access for certain teams. The detailing looks beautiful, and it makes me want to always work with it. The user journey is quite optimal, making navigation simple and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when multiple people are working on the same document, it's not real-time. My colleague might erase my context in the same box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Confluence for large, technical documents, sharing and exporting files, managing performance, and retrospective and sprint planning. It solves my documentation needs, organizes everything in place, and allows sharing with external teams. It helps with downloading different PDFs as well.

Great for Linking Docs, but Slow and Buggy for Writing and Formatting

  • April 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's nice to be able to link documents and workspaces together. Confluence does that well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence is an awful word processor. Basic features like resizing table cells or creating arrangements of images are complicated and buggy. There is a poor range of customization, and some basic features that users requested many years ago never get addressed by the Confluence developers. Exporting documents to Word does not work well. Confluence is very slow to load documents, sometimes even simple ones without many images.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is a fine centralized data storage space for a company. It's nice to have one platform to use rather than to look through folders in a file structure then open Word documents to view someone's notes.

Switching between heavy content pages can feel slow and cluttered, with permissions and page organization becoming tricky in larger workspaces.

Centralized Hub That Simplifies Team Onboarding and Keeps Resources Accessible

  • April 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like having a centralized place to manage team calendars, best practices, and guidance for using design tools. It makes it easier for us to onboard new members of the team, complete tasks consistently, and keep reference materials up to date and accessible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pages can be lost fairly easily and there’s not a great way to reduce duplicate information. Permission rules sometimes override each other, and it makes it difficult to control who can and cannot make changes..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence gives us a central place to capture our lessons learned and keep the team aligned, beyond what gets released within formal program documentation.
