A Workplace Staple but Requires Upkeep
What do you like best about the product?
The concept and functionality of centralizing working documentation, procedures, and any related material is great. f you're super organized and diligent, the landing pages here can be super useful. I also like that you can format pages for different functions as well as have some flexibility in the design of the page as well. Also great that it has synergy with JIRA.
What do you dislike about the product?
The concept itself is pretty straightforward however, navigating though can sometimes be non-intuitive for specific things such as managing a workspace (pages, quicklinks, accesses, etc.). I think this product also requires quite a bit of management from its users (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) but it can get very messy when organizations grow and get a bit disorganized as you can have multiple pages for the same thing in different workplaces, legacy documentation, etc. and it's a hassle to find what you're looking for in Confluence. The recent UI improvements have definitely made it a better experience but i'd love to see something there that might force users to be a bit more diligent in Confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use confluence mainly for internal documentation and training. We've also used it for our team as a team webpage that anyone can reference. The biggest benefit here is the tracking and centralization of resources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When Implementing, start with a strong infrastructure (page set ups, workflows, etc.) and training so that everyone is using it in a similar way
Confluence review
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and collaborate with other individuals. My team and I were able to keep each other updated, easy to see changes made by individuals
What do you dislike about the product?
Does get unorganized with the many difference sub-branches that each members add. The notifications can get extensive and it almost seems like a pain to check it all
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration in release of software for embedded hardware that my company is releasing as well as keeping each other updated on any progress that we are making
This is my favorite software
What do you like best about the product?
I have been working with Confluence for 8 years, in different teams and companies, with different products., It is, as for now, my favorite work software.
What do you dislike about the product?
there is basically nothing that I dislike in Confluence products, If I had to name something, the integration between JIRA and Salesforce is not the most intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ticketing system JIRA is my day-to-day-help in everything. I also like the documentation tool which allows a multitude of functions.
Confluence in Agile Software development
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence provides a easy way of documenting all the good things about a project including documentation, architecture diagram, project status, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the Confluence server tends to be slow and it affects the Confluence user friendliness. Also, the access controls on a specific page or a workplace can be a bit complicated for first time users.
The SSO integration with our company SSO service is not great. It can be improved a bit. Confluence doesn't hold onto the previous logins. It asks to enter credentials every day.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We document all the project related stuff using Confluence. It includes but not limited to Project documentation, architecture diagrams, statuses, Meeting notes, Action items, to upload documents, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please evaluate other competing products as well. Confluence is a great product to use if you also use other products from Atlassian such as Jira, Stash, HipChat, etc.

You cannot directly click on links in the text, it's confusing sometimes.

Confluence is being used by support as internal material for training as well as for solving customer problems.
Very Userful Wiki-like Interface
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to modify pages + collaborate on topics across teams
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the extra features aren't immediately intuitive, sometimes hard to find things when there is TOO much info
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
documentation, task management, project management
Functional, not the best interface
What do you like best about the product?
Rich set of features, fairly reliable, used by entire department
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can be difficult and counterintuitive - out of the box. It is configurable, but that requires resources we apply elsewhere
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
collaboration, problem tracking
Good repository
What do you like best about the product?
Great place for knowledge/process sharing
What do you dislike about the product?
Heavily leans towards tech people - can often get confusing as to where things are
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Where our source of internal knowledge lies
Great to keep information
What do you like best about the product?
I like that its very handy/user friendly to input information and to find information. I helped build alot of my companies pages within our version of confluence. It works very well and is used across departments at my company.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that sometimes if you are trying to find something for a specific department you have to construct your search within confluence to cater to certain keywords that a department might use. For example if I'm trying to find something for customer support but am looking for an article on how to do something and just type a generic keyword it will often pick up information from other departments such as I.T.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving business problems by incorporating information across teams & departments before there wasn't any transpercy or you'd have to talk to the department head or someone individually in that department to find answers. This makes it so you can go into confluence and search for an answer before having to ask someone.
