What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to provide complete transparency within our business. The tool is flexible, fits well with many of our organizations and is reliable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every once in a while the formatting gets out of whack. It's an easy fix, but can still be an annoyance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transparency - Accountability - Documentation - Cross-functional Alignment
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it - you'll be thankful.
It does what we need it to do
What do you like best about the product?
I like having a unified place for my team to share documentation with each other and knowing who we can ask when we have questions
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI doesn't make a lot of sense when creating a new page. I always feel like I'm looking around a lot to see where it's nested.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're trying to keep all of our documentation and onboarding materials in one place so new hires always have a reference point. This has also been helpful when someone switches teams or works on a new product to jump into development fairly quickly
Fantastic way to organize I formation
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is really easy to use both from an administer standpoint and as a user. Setup is really easy and it looks really nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that you could change the way that articles are displayed in the glossary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is being a really good way to centralize our help documents as well as our team internal documentation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just use it. It really is a great product. Use online documentation.
Confluence is easy to use, with a great UI
What do you like best about the product?
Our organization uses Confluence because it's a great collaboration tool and document editor. It's got a great U.I. it's easy to use and integrates with Jira and Zendesk.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't say that I dislike anything about it so far. The only thing I hope they improve is the free training support that they have. I wish they would offer free training up until the Mid Level User range.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest reason we use Confluence is the collaboration aspect, the easy WYSWYG editor and the biggest sell is that it can sync to your ZenDesk Database.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your looking for a great collaborative , searchable document repository, this is it.
Confluence for SAAS
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is great for organizing information regarding how-tos and customer related content.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence can be a little confusing to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the business problems is product documentation. It makes it easier to keep track of changes and history.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a useful tool for collaboration. It works very well with other Atlassian products.
Great experience
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence has been crucial in helping me organize the various office resources in a systematic manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI needs to be upgraded to 2019 standards. The admin features seem to lack simplicity as it's always a hassle trying to provide access to different spaces for different users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A major benefit is to have a knowledge base of articles for future hires to read through and understand the processes.
Still a little difficult and messy looking but for the most part I like using it
What do you like best about the product?
It is extremely easy to create a large number of documents, it is possible to reference other documents within them to facilitate ease of research, and documents can all be put into sub-folders to contain them within separate trees to aid with organisation.
The mobile app is extremely useful for reading documentation whilst on the go - an example would be that we keep Video Conference details on one page that I have favorited, as such when I set up a VC from any location I am able to rapidly find the correct details to dial.
The search functionality allows for extremely quick location of relevant documents. On many occasions I have not been able to find what I need looking through the lists, only to immediately find it on the first search. Indeed I no longer look through the list as the search is so efficient.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think there's ways to make it more intuitive for the user and sometimes there's issues with editing and saving etc
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it's a good place to host company info and user research for PMs
Documents in Confluence
What do you like best about the product?
This is a good method of collaboration on a document where you can invite others to edit it. Confluence will keep track of each version saved of the document changes. I also like to include lucid chart diagrams into the document and it has a good interface to allow this integration into the document.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is not even close to the features offered in something like Google Docs or Microsoft Word. There are limited document formatting options to make it into polished marketing type of document. It can also be a bit clumsy to find and inject the customized formatted it does offer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for collaboration with your team members to get them to review and update the document independently in the cloud. We use this a lot when developing our initial concept and design documents.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Simple and easy to use. The learning curve is not steep and the collaboration feature is its best feature. I just wish it had the Google Docs and Word method of inserting comment tags into the document as well as keep a thread of the comment responses.
hmm, would I recommend Confluence? No. Would I want to get rid of it? No...
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to very quickly put a few bits of information together and make them available to my entire organization is priceless, especially using a tool that easily allows my peers to contribute and evolve my initial work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Grr, certain things drive me crazy with Confluence
Having to format a a table of contents the way I like it on every single new page I create (let me save my format please!)
Formatting a page en-masse seems not to be a feature (e.g. I want to divide a page into two new sections which would be Heading 1. In order to do this I must go through every other heading on the page and manually format the headings down one level. Heading 1s must be set to Heading 2s, All Heading 2s must be set to Heading 3s. All Heading 3s must be set to Heading 4s, etc.)
Cutting and pasting code onto a page? I always use the same settings with the Code Block macro. Please let me save these settings as a default so I don't have to re-select them every time. ).
Trying to migrate a large number of pages between spaces? Nightmare. I was left with many pages stuck in some sort of nether world where they showed in the old space but when trying to migrate them to a new space I received a message akin to message: "Page already exists in that space".

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Does confluence frustrate me? Yes. Would I get rid of its wiki-like ability to provide information to my company in a quick low friction format? Never. (I just want less friction in a few key areas).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make a decision on how spaces will be used at the very begining. My recommendation? A single space for your entire company. There is no need to segregate the information into the silos that spaces create.
Great collaboration and documentation solution
What do you like best about the product?
This tool dramatically increased productivity and ease of finding answers to questions. It has an easy to use interface, with very little learning curve.
