Confluence: Seamless Jira Integration for an Easy, Centralized Knowledge Base

  • January 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy using Confluence because it integrates closely with Jira and Jira Service Manager, which we also use. Even before we integrated everything, it was still simple and easy to work with. We use it as our knowledge base, and we share articles from it daily with the people who rely on us for support. Customer support has been amazing, and since this is a cloud solution, implementation was relatively straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have found myself disliking the price tag associated with Confluence when we are in much larger organizations, but this tool is so invaluable for simplifying onboarding and storing documentation in a centralized and easy to access and search place that it's heavily justified.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence provides our organization a centralized place to keep our internal documentation, simplify onboarding, provide HOWTO and troubleshooting articles or guides for team members and helping to keep domain knowledge centralized and easy to search across our entire organization. It helps eliminate silos and promote transparency between our teams. It does not do that on its own, but it does help break down walls that act as barriers preventing team members in our organization from finding out how to use our products or why things were done a certain way.

Confluence: A Single Source of Truth for Organized, Collaborative Team Knowledge

  • January 19, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is great for keeping team knowledge and documentation organized in one place. What i like best is how easy it is to create, edit and share pages, whether it is for meeting notes, project documentation , or internal guides. It works really well for collaboration, multiple people can contribute comment, and update content without things getting lost in chats or emails. The structure with spaces and pages makes information easy to find later, which saves time and keeps everyone aligned. Overall, It turns scattered information into a single, reliable source of truth for the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence can sometimes feel cluttered when there is a lot of content. If pages are not well organized or maintained, finding the right information can take longer than expected. Another thing is that formatting and customization can feel a bit limited or unintuitive at times, especially when you want more control over layouts. It is great for documentation overall, but it does require good structure and regular cleanup to stay easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence solves the problem of scattered information across emails, chats and multiple documents. Instead of important knowledge living in different places, it gives teams a single space to create, store and share documentations. For me, this is really helpful because everything from project details and meeting notes to internal processes is easy to find and reference later. It reduces back and forth questions, keeps everyone aligned and makes collaboration smoother, especially when working with larger or remote teams. Overall, it saves time and helps the team to stay on same page.

Robust Centralized Knowledge Base with Room for Improvement

  • January 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What we like the most about Confluence is how easy it is to organize, maintain, and update documentation at scale. Page versioning, access controls, and structured spaces make it simple to keep information accurate and audit-ready. The integrations with Jira, Vanta, and Monday.com are especially valuable, since they let us tie documentation directly to tickets, tasks, and compliance controls instead of managing everything in silos. These features, like page versioning and history, make changes easy to track and audit, while access controls help protect sensitive documentation. Integrations with Jira and Vanta let us link documentation directly to tickets and compliance controls, reducing manual work and making audits easier to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Confluence is powerful, performance can lag as spaces grow larger, especially with heavy nested pages or large tables. The editor can also feel inconsistent at times, particularly when switching between legacy and new editor behaviors. Search is generally useful but could be more precise for large knowledge bases, and managing permissions at scale can become complex without careful governance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence solved scattered documentation issues by providing a central knowledge base. It organizes and maintains compliance documentation with versioning and access controls, making audits smoother. Integrations with Jira and Vanta link documentation directly to tasks, reducing manual work.

Excellent Cross‑Team Collaboration with Structured Spaces and Jira Embeds

  • January 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s great for cross‑team collaboration and visibility. I can easily see what my team is creating, updating, and referencing. The structured Spaces work well for departments and projects: each department can have its own workspace, and permissions can be tailored per space. This also helps keep pages more consistent across the organization and reduces the time spent on formatting. On top of that, you can embed Jira issues, reports, and dashboards directly inside pages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Permissions feel “hidden” or fragmented across space settings, global admin, and licensing. Users often assume they’re blocked by permissions, but in our case the real root cause is a licensing mismatch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of scattered, inconsistent documentation. Processes, historical notes, and team knowledge are no longer spread across multiple locations, which makes everything easier to find and keep aligned. It also simplifies onboarding for new team members, since they don’t have to search through multiple platforms to get up to speed.
