Powerful tool for meetings, trainings, and events

  • August 23, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Seeing participants online makes a bid difference to the quality of the meeting. It enables us to offer programming to participants all over the world.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes people don't have enough bandwidth to stay visible in the meeting, or their screen freezes and sound becomes garbled. It may not be a zoom problem, but I wish their was a solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Attendance in our programs has been limited to people who can afford to travel where the event is being held. Now that barrier is gone and we are able to serve a wider audience.

Excellent teaching tool

What do you like best about the product?
I work with low-income students and most of them don't own a computer, but they can take their lessons through zoom. Despite not being very tech-savvy, they were able to download the application without any problem and start using it with minimal training.
What do you dislike about the product?
The whiteboard is not as good. It's much easier to write on a real board, so Math classes are a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The pandemic forced us to use zoom, but now I would never go back to in-person classes. We save on rent and the classes are as efficient. Moms with little children can study with us. They just mute themselves until it's time for them to participate. Then we hear all the crying and the baby noises, but some of my best students are young mothers with infants that could have never been able to study without zoom.
Also, many students could never make it to class because of traffic and work schedule. Now they can take their class right after they leave their job, for they don't have to get to a physical room and they can also see the recording if they miss a part of it.

Brilliant video conferencing application

What do you like best about the product?
The UI of Zoom is easy to use providing a rich experience. The polls and whiteboard features make it easy to have control over the class when I teach my students. The upper cap on the number of participants is sufficient for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the video acts abnormal and flashy to the extent that it feels useless to the other person sitting. Quality depends on network speed. I live in a suburban region where speed often fluctuates resulting in the poor video output which is irritating at times
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost-effective solution to provide an online learning experience with a minimum amount of investment. I can reach a greater number of students now. Moreover, the sessions can be recorded which would not be otherwise possible in offline classes.

Zoom has enabled the homebound in our community to participate in activities from home via computer!

  • August 23, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the aspect that it enables people to participate from their homes when they are unable to do so in person and get the most out of community activities including church bible studies. Covid really put our communities at a standstill and we had to stay at home. We had to shelter our vulnerable elderly loved ones from getting Covid. People had to become creative with communication and Zoom really stepped into to fill the void. It really helped those who wanted to do a group chat and see people much easier from a computer than on the tiny screen of their cell phone. After Covid, it has addressed a new need. It has enabled us to go out into our communities and hook up computers for the ill, and homebound members of our community so they can participate in activities they did before Covid and before their decline in health. Some people still prefer human socialization so we do a hybrid model where some people participate in person and other people are on Zoom. We can see each other via a television screen.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that I use Zoom from a remote countryside area. If your internet goes down for a minute as the Host of the meeting it provides errors for the rest of the users and after about 5 minutes shuts them off Zoom and you have to restart a new meeting. There needs to be a function where you can set a secondary host for the meeting and if your internet goes out and you are dropped from the meeting the secondary host is automatically made the temporary host until you log in and restore yourself as primary host. Right now it just errors up and everyone is dropped from the meeting. I am not exactly sure how this type of idea would be accomplished software wise but it would enable the meeting to continue seamlessly among participants and not force those who are not as tech savvy to try to figure out how to relog into a meeting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned about it is enabling those who are unable physically to attend a meeting to do so from the comfort of their homes and be a participant in their organizations and communities in new ways.

Connecting people easily around the world

  • August 23, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how it can connect teachers to parents, students and colleagues around the world. Recently I have been participating in trainings using Zoom and it is easy to share your screen and record the session so you can go back and review anything you missed live.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one downside I encountered was when I was teaching students virtually. I wasn't always able to mute and then unmute the students. Some of my younger students had difficulty when it was time to unmute themselves.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is connecting me to people who aren't working in the building with me. I can train with someone from another country. I can meet with parents virtually about their students without them having to come into the school. It is making meetings easier.

I use Zoom EVERY SINGLE DAY. It is my virtual office and I rely on it for operating my business.

What do you like best about the product?
We are pleased with call quality, settings options, recordings and storage, chat, and webinar features. We love that the solution provides us the ability to have meetings with both internal and external stakeholders, to be able to record then archive our sessions, and to interface with YouTube and Facebook Live to broadcast webinars and conversations with the general public.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing we dislike about Zoom other than the natural limitations imposed by internet connection speeds from call participants. Of course it would be wonderful if video was a slightly higher resolution in order to be able to use the recordings for more purposes, but given cost, and general functionality, we couldn't be happier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom serves as both a solution for creating a virtual office via our internal meetings, as well as a solution to creating a public space to communicate with various external constituencies in a variety of formats.

Changing Diapers between Zoom meetings

  • August 23, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is an effective tool to get meetings happening in this very virtual world. Definitely a necessity when multiple callers are dialing in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really worng with the product, I just would prefer the opportunity to be in front of people in real life more often -- but can't complain since it's extremely convenient to jump from one meeting to the next. Sometimes though, it can lead to fatigue if one forgets to take proper breaks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is helpful in getting multiple parties on a call, especially when they're not part of my org and we need a simple-to-install system.

The best platform that allowed communication during pandemic times.

  • August 23, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With Zoom, distance is not a problem. The pandemic limited us, but "Zoom" solved every inconvenience, allowing companies to employ telework with meetings and engagement with their workers, helping to safeguard health by avoiding being affected by COVID-19. This tool showed how good it is during the pandemic and is here to stay for a long time. I love Zoom for its versatility and how user-friendly it is to run, the various tools for presentations, screen sharing, and/or video calls for work and/or study suit me well and provide me with the necessary security to carry out my tasks. The function to write on a whiteboard is great, as in meetings we don't need physical elements to establish and/or show the points we need to address.

I share my experience with Zoom; during the pandemic, we couldn't hold meetings, and with my friends from church, we conducted Bible readings during the critical quarantine period, an enriching and learning instance.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like about Zoom is that its full functionality is limited to the use of a computer (Notebook and/or CPU), because if I want to use it on a cell phone, the display of the functions is limited to the width of the screen, which makes it difficult in the case of being the presenter of any meeting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The use of money to implement a meeting, classroom session, and the preparation of materials for these events are benefits, as the functionalities that Zoom employs facilitate and reduce the use of these elements, allowing for wonderful savings.

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is really easy to use. So if you've never used it and login to the platform, it will be easy to find your way around
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't come across anything I do not like about Zoom so far
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we went all remote during the pandemic, Zoom was an incredibly helpful tool to stay in communication with coworkers and keep the business running

Zoom - A better meeting solution for remote workplace

  • August 23, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom has many plugins which help to integrate with other platforms like Skype, Slack etc. Single Sign-On option makes it secure for enterprise and makes sure that only authorized people can use it. Another benefit of Zoom is that, it helps to held webinars with more than 500 participants.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zoom plugins sometimes crash and the integration with other applications drops. Moreover, while arranging meetings with outlook the plugin doesn't notify users about the security rules, if users forget to set a meeting password it can expose a security issue and anyone with a meeting ID can join the meeting even if they are outside the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps in better collaboration of team members helps in screen sharing and recording which can be accessed in future too, It has easy to use guide that allows easy installations and better user experience in terms of quality.
