There's a reason it's become a verb
What do you like best about the product?
There are more sophisticated features at the lower levels that work well for a variety of use cases. I've used it for webinars, one-off meetings with coworkers, and sales calls. Screensharing works well and does enough to prevent embarrassing situations and its easy to control security settings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduling can be funky- I've had users tell me that they can't join, or it's confusing to join, or that the invite is unclear. Otherwise, it's pretty solid. For a new user the vast functionality might be confusing. It can also be confusing to differentiate between tiers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While we are less remote than other companies, our biggest Zoom use case has been facilitating client communications with each other. Getting multiple users from around the country in the same place in an organized way can be challenging but Zoom works great, and feels slightly more sophisticated/legit than just hopping on a Google hangout.

What do you like best about the product?
Compared to peers, I find Zoom to:
1. Have better support for green screens than other platforms.
2. Have more mature & stable break out rooms
3. More and stable updates, the platform seems like it's evolving quickly.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some companies mandate using other solutions, which is unfortunate when I'm a zoom customer because of how I've optimized my setup for Zoom.
Because I use a green screen all the time, and support on other platforms for green screens is so poor, I find that my background is much less compelling when the green screen is down vs when it's up.
While I haven't used them myself, my understanding from other developers is that the Zoom Application Platform is very bad and you should avoid it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Video conferencing, both 1:1 and when delivering workshop presentations.

What do you like best about the product?
Convenience of being able to pivot from An in person meeting to a video call due to a number of circumstances that can arise. Being able to do so quickly!
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue I have seen is user confusion on how to login.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well the pandemic definitely helped us pivot our meetings when we couldn't do in person. It's helped us become better at hosting these types of meetings. It has helped me be able to spend more time with my family by eliminating lengthy commutes. Feels more professional and a FaceTime call.
Best Video Platform for Business
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Zoom has a waiting room, the white board feature, the share-screen capability, and the host from desktop or mobile functionality. Zoom is a reliable platform that anyone without an account can still join meetings within.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that if I am an alternative host on one meeting, I cannot host another meeting simultaneously if the primary host has started a meeting at the same time. This has been a problem on numerous times for my company and results in chaotic meeting starts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom solves the problem of different team members in different time zones working together. My company is seamlessly able to host meetings with our employees and subcontractors around the country.

What do you like best about the product?
There are many useful features, such as screensharing capabilities, host controls over many meeting features, and the ability to use original or auto-edited audio.
What do you dislike about the product?
Other video calling/streaming services offer better and more consistent video quality. In addition, the fact that Zoom no longer offers a free plan is a dissapointment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom connects me easily with clients and students on a platform they have already likely used and are comfortable operating. I like the wide range of features and relatively easy interface.
Very effective, with some drawbacks
What do you like best about the product?
The Zoom platform allowed me to teach music lessons remotely during a time when nobody was able to meet in person. Additionally, being required to teach remotely removed some of my normal teaching tools, so I was forced to create new ones, and I'm grateful for that.
What do you dislike about the product?
For music lessons, sound quality is key, and Zoom doesn't do a great job there. Also, the tendency of the microphone to cut out from time to time, or when some sound was made on the other end, made things difficult at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to give music lessons remotely solves several problems. If one party is sick and unable to physically come to the lesson, they can still participate. And during the pandemic, it was the only way for me to be able to work.
Great for teaching music
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom has come a long way with sound capabilities. Using original sound as well as the option to toggle sensitivity within noise suppression has made it my go to for remote music teaching.
What do you dislike about the product?
The worst thing about Zoom is that kids are sick of it by now. Zoom itself has no downside for me in my line of work, but after the pandemic many kids now hear "zoom" in a negative way
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom allows me to service clients from around the globe, making my potential sales pool vastly larger than by just teaching in a brick-and-mortar.
I want to love Zoom, but I really wish I had a better alternative
What do you like best about the product?
It is convenient that at this point, pretty much everyone knows how to use Zoom. Also, it integrates into my calendar which is helpful. I like being able to meet with anyone, anywhere, at any time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zoom can be so glitchy. Sometimes my microphone doesn't work. A few times my camera didn't work. They work fine, they just wouldn't work in Zoom. There are meetings that disappear or don't work properly when you show up. Sometimes, it downloads an update every time I open an invite, this gets really frustrating when I have 10 plus calls in a day.
I wish there were an alternative but everything is integrated with Zoom and it is the app everyone uses, however, I do not know anyone who is 100% satisfied and there are many discussions about wanting something better.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of being in the same room which allows me to work with people all over the world. We can record videos and send them out and I can meet with people whenever it is convenient for both of us.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using zoom since before the pandemic and it has allowed for greater ease in connecting with my business partners, no matter where they are in the world.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, when wifi isn't so good and I or my business partners/prospects need to use the call in feature, it is sometimes difficult to locate that number. I would love to see more that allows for an ease to call in with louder/bigger font.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom has solved the problem of not being able to be time-location-free. This is a platform that connects everyone, from anywhere! my business has absolutely increased while using zoom.

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is easy to use and I love that it is widely recognized as a reputable partner. The ability to scale and use apps is also an advantage. The one click joining is also a benefit.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, there is a challenge with video quality depending on local bandwidth. While this is an external issue, it does affect the Zoom experience overall for the end user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I run a statewide organization. I can't be at every meeting in person, but Zoom allows me to stay connected and keep my relationships thriving. When I can connect with folks without driving for hours, I am more productive!
