Quietly Life Changing
What do you like best about the product?
This team has thought of everything. From apps on your phone to extensions on your browser, and they all work perfectly. I run a software company and we have now moved everyone to teams version. Love the vaults!
I think this is the only review I have written in the last 2 years, for anything.
I think this is the only review I have written in the last 2 years, for anything.
What do you dislike about the product?
I got a little confused for a minute when I migrated to teams, I seem to recall, but that quickly passed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure credentialling to various apps.
Love the breadth and depth of 1password
What do you like best about the product?
1Password has made it possible for me to use very secure passwords without putting a cramp in my digital activities. I also share vaults with colleagues and family so we can be on the same page when it comes to secure, but shared information.
What do you dislike about the product?
That not everyone implements a 1password native login! I love it when I see a service give me that little keyhole to login!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security of online accounts.
The Best There Is
What do you like best about the product?
I've used 1Password for several years, and have always been amazed at how often they are updating it and working to keep it as current as possible. This is something that's good to see in an app that could be vulnerable to hacking if not kept as up-to-date as possible. I also like that it syncs well with my iPhone.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. It works as it should without any issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes life easier for me.
Great app
What do you like best about the product?
the ease of use for many passwords, the security of not typing them in. The use of them on all devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Harder to use on IOS but OK. No other real issues
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
none
Best password manager on the planet
What do you like best about the product?
Security (only encrypted password vault stored online, can only be decrypted on local devices). Convenience (easy sync among desktop and mobile devices, supports fingerprint unlocking on iOS, browser integration). Power (excellent passphrase generation, supports OTPs, customizable fields). Value (inexpensive and affordable even for individuals and small businesses).
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't found anything yet, after many years of use!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eliminates insecure passwords or sharing of passwords among services. Reviews known exploited sites and recommends password changes. Enables employees to maximize security without sacrificing usability.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider the cost of even a single security breach from an employee using insecure passwords or sharing the same password on secure and insecure services.
Consistent development and good support.
What do you like best about the product?
I like password vault syncing and the ability to easily access, copy and paste info from all of our devices. I also love password generation because we have to change passwords frequently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I tend to have multiple passwords saved for certain websites because of the way the software offers to add (vs. update) a password when you are creating a new one. Sometimes it knows to just update, but sometimes it makes a new entry. Then I have to look through the different entries to see which one was created most recently in order to get the correct password.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Several of our business SAAS platforms require new passwords to be created often, and random password generation and vault syncing lets us keep access to our sites without having to remember and share new custom passwords.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are many password keepers, but this one has Mac/iPhone/iPad/watch apps to keep you going everywhere.
Incredible!
What do you like best about the product?
The thing that stands out to me about 1Password is how well thought-out and designed this application is: from the web interface, to the desktop application, the menu bar mini-app, and even the solid extensions for browsers, etc. I've heard about password managers for years, but instead took the lazy route; using the same password for everything. Fortunately I never did get hacked/phished, etc, but it clearly is only. a matter of time for many/most users. After researching, I narrowed down to LastPass and 1Password. What pushed me over the edge for 1Password are the reasons mentioned above, as well as the customer service/support and the high quality of the software. I would *never* go back!
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see integration with YubiKey. LastPass does have it, and I would like to be able to use this for my businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a business, we have many different logins to keep. Individual logins haven't really been an issue; but we do wish to protect our company's data, yet retain the ease-of-use of a central password repository. As of now we are using just one instance, but certainly will be adding more accounts/employees in the future...
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to make sure your data is well organized. Your future self will thank you.
This product is a must in this day and age
What do you like best about the product?
It has an amazing extension for chrome. I don't even worry about remembering my passwords anymore.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. I am not a fan of their new subscription service but I paid a one time fee back in the day and was grandfathered in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Umm not having to remember over 150 passwords I have saved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
there is a lot of other password sites out there. I can't vouch for them but I can for this one. You will not regret having this app. Even I had to pay the monthly subscription I would.
Cmd + \
What do you like best about the product?
The Cmd + \ keyboard shortcut makes all the other features work smoothly. Being able to sync the vault file with dropbox is an excellent solution to keeping the data synced up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Team pricing too expensive. I'd love to use this multiple people and configure who gets access to what passwords, but the subscription based pricing is prohibitively expensive. I wish they had a one-time purchase for a license like their standard app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily managing a bazillion emails.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Love this software. I sync the password file with dropbox which works decently. The ease of logging into websites using the keyboard shortcuts is fantastic. The team version would be nice, but I prefer the traditional license purchase over a subscription.
1Password is literally a requirement at our company
What do you like best about the product?
It makes it _easy_ for me and our employees to never conjure or remember a password again.
What do you dislike about the product?
I struggle to come up with something I don't like. Probably the only thing that I find annoying is that when 1Password updates, the Browser Plugin requires me to restart my browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes us more secure. By requiring the use of 1Password, our employees don't have to remember their passwords anymore, which means that they will use secure, random passwords rather than memorable ones. That makes us less likely to be hacked via a brute force attempt.
