Fantastic for security conscious people.

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of 1Password is fantastic. It allows me to create and manage passwords for various places without breaking a sweat. The vault, combined with the browser extensions and iOS app combines perfectly. It saves me having to worry about insecure passwords, or remembering complex ones. I also love the way it audits your passwords, logins etc., to let you know if they have been found in any security compromises. The UI/UX, especially on Apple based hardware, is fantastic and it really looks great. The ability to use Touch ID and Face ID is also a huge benefit and makes accessing your vault(s) simple and convenient. There are also regular updates to the tool, which is very encouraging in this day and age.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish it was better on Windows. Whilst I predominantly use 1Password on Mac and iOS, the Windows version is dramatically different (substandard?). The interface is not great on Windows, and doesn't look at all like the Mac version. It would also be amazing if they could support Linux, but I appreciate that is some way off usually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using and remembering complex passwords for multiple places. This does it all.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is predominantly a Mac / iOS solution. Whilst it does work on Windows, the software feels inferior when using it on Windows, which is a real shame. Functionality is basically the same, but it feels like the Windows version is more of an afterthought.

It's a pretty easy to use product and you'd better have a password manager

  • March 27, 2018

What do you like best about the product?
It's very convenient to use with the browser plugin, and since it matches the domain name in the URL you're visiting with those in your password database, it can help prevent you from getting phished by scammers who use domain names similar to those you trust.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like it to sync on a regular schedule when using a local server. I'm concerned that they'll remove the local-server option and force you to sync your accounts using their own server. I'd rather everything stay with me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to make it feasible to maintain different strong passwords for all of my accounts, and to give me a buffer against phishers who use misleading domain names.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's easy to use and has a good feature set. It doesn't support Linux.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the integration with browsers through the browser extensions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish the browser integration worked in iOS

Good solid tool, lacking some features

  • March 20, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Solid support for Windows and OS X. Supports most browsers.
What do you dislike about the product?
No support for Yubikey, no linux support. At some point I may have to find another tool because of these two.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of use, unique password for each site.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need Linux or Yubikey (or similar device) support, look elsewhere. Otherwise this is a good product.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use once you've started migrating your passwords to 1PW. Professionally it makes managing team and company accounts easy as pie. Personally, it's handy due to the auto-generate password for accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Naming system depends solely on the people naming the managed passwords - difficulty in differentiating between several accounts for the same application
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier communication of password data between personnel

Great Multi Platform Cloud Password Manager

  • March 16, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the easiness of use, it's very complete, multi platform and with multi device synchronization. I use Apple computers and Android devices and 1Password allows me to access my passwords and my clients' passwords from everywhere! It's a wonderful tool I use to recommend to my clients and friends.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is quite high. It could be cheaper, so more people could afford it and 1Password team could get more loyal customers and recommendations, spiking their sales and revenue.
If there was a way to unlock the computer version with the fingerprint, even by using the mobile phone, that would be awesome! I use already an App in my Android device to unlock my iMac with the fingerprint from the mobile phone and it saves me a lot of time, because I lock the screen every time I stand up from the computer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to manage safely all the passwords from the accounts of my clients, my personal and business passwords. I create web pages and offer web hosting accounts, so this tool is a must to have in such a job. 1Password helps me in my job by storing the passwords encrypted in the cloud, so I can access them securely no matter where I am in the World.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's great to manage passwords from multiple devices: Computer, mobile phones and tablets. You always have them at hand. It's very easy to use and if you have fingerprint sensor in your mobile phone, you can access your passwords in a breeze!

what a relief

What do you like best about the product?
the keyboard shortcut that autopopulates all login details and signs in automatically
What do you dislike about the product?
the iOS experience. a really pain in the ass still but at least I can now have different passwords all over the place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
less frustration with resetting passwords which was happening so many times in a week before. Also having all important documentation, personal details locked up feels good.

1Password easy use, I love

  • March 07, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Good app. Unfortunately, the free android app is quite nerfed since you cannot add a new item or add an old one. I also don't like the fact that they are just using the cloud with an expensive monthly fee (as I already purchased the stand-alone version for desktops some years ago). That said, the app still remains one of the best password manager on the market, even thought there are other alternatives which are getting as good as this one.
What do you dislike about the product?
No autofill on Samsung web browser. (Some other alternatives have that feature). No security audit on Android. Advanced settings on web interface are not as many as its competitor. No Two-Factor Authentication. I used to use it on another platform until they release 1password cloud account and it was paid. Now, it is free for everyone except the cloud account. I also couldn't see adding a new vault screen on the app. Syncing is good and it is always up to date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Your team's plans allow you to share passwords and other credentials with a group of people without having to share specific credentials in an unsafe manner.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
it's very useful, it's worth trying.

Security and Convenience - Yes, it is possible

  • March 01, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The convenience of having all your passwords in one place is great, but I can do that in a spreadsheet. Making it encrypted and secure, however, is what makes 1 Password indispensable. The password generator is very convenient and the auto fill function works will in almost every website I've visited.
What do you dislike about the product?
1 Password for Windows doesn't seem to work for me. It would not sync the latest password after I changed it on another machine. Set up takes a bit of time, and it might get tedious entering your password as often as the default setting requires, but it's a good tradeoff for more security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing passwords across select groups within the company makes the product extremely convenient for business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have linux, maybe check out LastPass, otherwise 1 Password does everything you need.
