Real Secure dint know why I dint use it earlier

  • December 10, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of having my passwords centralized
What do you dislike about the product?
I have to login to find a password everytime.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to keep my passwords unique and secure and not having to remember them all the time. I don't have to keep track of what passwords I used where and it remembers what I used where. 1password gives me the peace of mind that I'm not using the same password everywhere that could jeopardize all my accounts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It will help you keep everything secure and centralized, you'd be able to pass compliance checks and make sure everyone is using a password that is secure and keeps company/business assets and trade secrets from being corrupted. Personally using it can make sure you're not falling into the trap of using common passwords that are easy to crack using bots referencing your personal information. This way you worry about one password which is your "master password" and let 1password generate new passwords for you that are secure and keep your information safe. It can store a variety of information like logins/credit cards/credentials and is flexible enough to have customs stuff.

Effective tool to manage passwords across various deployments and improved security

What do you like best about the product?
Gives me and our team peace of mind that we have secured our passwords across all deployments on the front and back end.

It is also an effective way for team members to share passwords with each other without sharing them in an unsecured environment like Slack or Email.

It's also well thought out functionality in how they developed ease of adding/using MFA from within the accounts login page. Allowing you to input it via a few clicks instead of having to boot up your authenticator application or text messaging 2FA separately.

For our administrator, the usage reports are very helpful for measuring adoption and following up with staff to ensure that 1Password is effectively being used by all members.

The Watchtower feature is great in notifying if a company email was detected in a breach, even if no one saved their credentials for that website in 1Password. This is helpful as myself and our team use a broad range of highly established and less evolved Saas Applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be a more convenient experience if it integrated with biometric measures like Windows Hello or my phone. Occasionally entries get clunky when it clashes with Chrome's built-in autofill and password features.

Sometimes there are pop-ups for login that won't allow me to autofill.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password was initially given to our team to improve our password security but came with a hidden blessing in that it allows me to juggle passwords across various SaaS subscriptions and tools I use on a day to day basis, as well as multiple deployments of our firm's applications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While reviewing various tools, it would be helpful to understand the types of devices staff have, as well as strongly recommending training to ensure staff are familiar with the various applications and entry points for 1Password.

What do you like best about the product?
Great place to share/include passwords for private and shared accounts
What do you dislike about the product?
Needing any password manager at all (which isn't really a knock on the product)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing passwords for corporate accounts that multiple people access

Keeps my passwords secure and share them.

What do you like best about the product?
More than ten years back, I started making use of this tool. I was transitioning from Windows to Mac at that moment. I'd been making use of a password management tool for a very long time which looked that 1Password is the very best Mac option. I've used my personal plugin on the computer of mine over the years. I have just recently switched to an alternative that synchronises all the devices of mine and I cannot even imagine going back.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I'd to get several designs to maintain specific macOS changes compatible. Several of the later software versions didn't operate on more mature macOS versions. Its support group helped to sort it out there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was extremely happy. They're currently innovating and every single day I depend on the product of theirs. Now I update to the most recent macOS, I could keep all the information of mine updated on all the devices of mine and share my team logins when it's necessary.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We looked for something much more totally shared as well as handled by a whole team.

Lifesaver in the corporate world

What do you like best about the product?
The granularity of assigning vaults and specific permissions available within the vaults. Additionally having SSO and SCIM saves a ton of time! I can't imagine using it at scale without this.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you provision a user and they activate their account it takes ~5 minutes for the account to auto approve. It would be great if this was quicker.

It would also be nice if there was a way to share a one time password similar to pwpush.com without having to create a new vault.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to give multiple people access to shared credentials and API keys in a secure way. Employees are more cognizant of sharing credentials and now add them to 1Password rather then saving them to Google Sheets / DMing them to each other.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s easy to access in ny chrome toolbar whenever I need it. It helps me avoid the forgot password process since I can’t remember so many different account passwords. It also enables team members that work in other parts of the world to access accounts without Needing to contact me.
What do you dislike about the product?
logging in each time - but it’s a small niggle compared to the benefits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It updates codes for each account as they change. Also it has copy buttons which is super.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It’s a great tool that stores your own personal passwords and enables team members to share and use easily. You can create separate folders for work and personal use, whoch keeps things tidy.

What do you like best about the product?
Connecting and access the app is so so easy. There's also a Chrome extension that works seamlessly. The UI is great across all devices as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the web forms don't autofill, but this could be tied to the browser itself. Bit of an annoying user experience when it comes up. Scaling and creating vaults can be improved a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password has helped me with all my passwords, but it's also allowed our company to easily and securely share passwords across multiple departments. One less thing to worry about! Thanks 1P!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't rush your onboarding and definitely take the time to understand the product!

What do you like best about the product?
Passwords are stored in one place. Convenient access.
What do you dislike about the product?
price for the full suite seems expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick access is convenient. Stores everything in one place which is nice.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you don't mind paying for a specialized product, it's good offering. But not everyone can afford the subscription premium.

1 ring to rule them all

What do you like best about the product?
It works on any platform (Windows/Mac) and includes a free family account for each employee.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no API access, however there is a CLI application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Obviously storing passwords securely, but just as important making them secure. When you don't have to remember passwords it's easy to make them long and difficult.

1password made changing all my passwords in a single settings an easy process

  • November 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The interface and integration between all my devices. From iPhone -> iPad and from Mac -> Windows. Never have to think about remembering a password on the go.
What do you dislike about the product?
More of a feature request. Would love for it to override Google Chromes Password recommendation when you first set it up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security is the main one. Before using 1Password I had the same password for a number of different logins. It wasn't ideal and I needed a solution that wasn't cluttered like some of the competitors. I realized pretty fast how easy it was to get started and the added value of having my whole family do the same thing.
