Review on Logistics side of S4 HANA conversion (from ECC)
What do you like best about the product?
I was part of Logistics resource when we converted ECC to S4 HANA and what I like best is how to set-up the master data in order to use the Business Partner as one mandatory process in S4 HANA.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is the portion that we are not the ones directly transacted into the system but our counterpart consultant. Much as I would like to familiarize more on the actual transaction, we have not given the authorization to do it as the role has been given to our counterpart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The issues encountered by our counterpart about the receiving process. I have realized that BP is such an important master data to be set-up because without it Logistics process in procurement will not be achieved as old transaction code like MK01, XK01 have not been used anymore.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
S4 HANA is great to use to simplify things and life in SAP. We can innovate more in the business if we have a great tool like S4 HANA.

Problem in live MRP also benefit of live MRP having faster data base. Reports and fiori app is awesome.
It is very good solution, intially we struggled but now it is very stable solution.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how S/4 Hana builds on the previous version of SAP. I have been using SAP for 4 years now and I like how it gives you the flow of info. Where and who certain things are with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Software is bit complex and cannot be learnt just by looking at YouTube and other sources. SAP courses are super expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have really been able to work on my analytical and problem solving skills. I have very quick on where and how to pull the info from.

It is beneficial to take SAP courses on module you will be working with.

I like the user surface, the tiles and enjoyed the cloud solutions in general.

As S4H is new, every quarter the upgrades changes the layout of the applications without any notice.

We used S4H for accounting of small businesses, it worked perfectly for this size.

The integration between different modules that often represent the departments themselves in the organization

The adaptation abilities of SAP to country-specific requirements, as if they focus on upgrading the software speed/database and forget the need & regulations of many countries

The lack of transparency, rules & regulation, non-integrated business processes. The benefits of SAP to my company is to resolve those problems at the moment, in the long terms I hope to optimize and improve further the operating process as well as its adaptation to the expanding speed of a service-oriented company as mine
Implemented S4 fashion solution for retail
What do you like best about the product?
Synchronized Business partner solution, improved article master MRP views. The Synced solution for business partner makes its a central solution for the procurement and sales team in the case of retail business processes. This gives additional access to information and fluidity in the business. There is less department silos due to this feature. Especially given that it is highly used in retail. The MRP views inside the article master, which is now changed to a material master again, provides a more clearly categorized information view.
What do you dislike about the product?
MRP Locking issue due to the way it runs in the backend. The Logic that mrp live uses in the s4 hana system causes some materials to be locked which was not the case in the legacy SAP AFS product. This causes some inconveniences. This gives a prominent issue when a company as big as South Asias largest apparel manufacturer needs to prevent locking of materials.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
First work to organize or re-structure your business process with a digital core and centralization perspective. And then look into how S4 can benefit you. Without this approach you are likely to make little use of the innovations available in the product. If you are a business looking to work on omnichannel, this should be your primary solution.
