Intuitive Interface, Efficient Navigation
What do you like best about the product?
I like the interface and the fast clicks navigation of SAP Cloud ERP. I also enjoy the colors and the positioning of fields. Additionally, I find the notifications panel enjoyable. The initial setup was very easy, with no problems or additional assistance needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say some fields in orders can be more accessible and not require so many clicks. It would be better to have them on the main page of order details and not in so many submenus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SAP Cloud ERP makes it easy to keep track of everything.
Steep Learning Curve for Legacy Users Despite Strong Real-Time Finance Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I was introduced to SAP S/4HANA Cloud during my SAP Finance training. From my experience, it supports real-time financial reporting and helps make reconciliation tasks more organized within a cloud-based environment. In banking operations, this kind of system can assist with transaction monitoring, internal control work, and compliance-related processes such as KYC and AML checks. It also helps improve the accuracy of financial records and supports better audit follow-up.
What do you dislike about the product?
For users who are more familiar with traditional banking systems, it may take some time to understand all the available features and system functions. The learning curve at the beginning can be a bit challenging, especially for professionals transitioning from legacy financial platforms without prior ERP experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SAP Cloud ERP helps in organizing financial data and supports real-time reporting within a centralized platform. From a banking operations perspective, it can improve reconciliation processes, support compliance monitoring activities, and reduce manual errors in financial record management. This helps improve reporting accuracy and makes internal audit and financial control processes easier to manage.
Efficient ERP for Complex Accounting Processes
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is the seamless integration of production, costing, inventory, human capital, and financial processes within a single system. This allows for real-time access to comprehensive data, ensuring better decision-making and cross-departmental alignment.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that, due to its high level of integration, the system is not always intuitive. Users require extensive training to understand how each module functions and how their specific inputs feed into the overall financial information. Some staff members, such as Accounts Payable clerks, often struggle to grasp the full impact of their data entry on the general ledger, which can lead to errors if not closely supervised.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of data silos by centralizing all department information in one place. For me, this is beneficial because it simplifies the reconciliation process and reduces the time spent on manual data entry. It ensures that the financial statements are always based on accurate, up-to-the-minute information, which significantly improves the reliability of our month-end reports.
Real-Time, Always-Updated Automation That Keeps Business Running Smoothly
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about SAP Cloud ERP is its real-time, always-updated business processes, which eliminate manual effort and keep everything running smoothly through seamless, modern automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest dislike is its limited flexibility—many areas are heavily standardized, so even simple customizations often require workarounds or aren’t allowed at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SAP Cloud ERP addresses the need for real-time visibility and standardized, automated business processes. It helps streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and improve decision-making across the organization.

What do you dislike about the product?
If I’m being honest (and fair), SAP Cloud ERP is powerful—but it’s not without trade-offs. Here’s what I dislike most:
Limited customization (especially Public Cloud)
You can’t freely modify the system like in ECC or S/4HANA On-Prem. Many changes need to follow SAP’s standard processes, which can be frustrating for businesses with unique requirements.
Dependence on SAP’s release cycle
Mandatory quarterly/bi-annual updates mean you must constantly test changes. While innovation is great, it can impact stability if not managed well.
Higher total cost over time
Subscription fees, integration costs, and reliance on SAP BTP for extensions can make it expensive in the long run—especially for mid-size customers.
Complex integrations
Integrating with non-SAP or legacy systems often requires middleware (BTP/CPI), adding complexity and skill dependency.
Steep learning curve for consultants and users
Fiori, extensibility rules, and cloud restrictions require a mindset shift. Traditional SAP consultants often struggle initially.
Not ideal for highly localized or customized processes
Some country-specific or industry-specific needs still require workarounds or side-by-side solutions.
In short: SAP Cloud ERP is great for standardized, forward-looking organizations, but it can feel restrictive for companies that rely heavily on deep customization or legacy-heavy landscapes.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SAP Cloud ERP (formerly SAP S/4HANA Cloud) is mainly solving the problem of complex, slow, and high-maintenance ERP landscapes, and that creates very real day-to-day benefits for me.
Here’s how I see it:
Eliminates heavy system maintenance
Traditional on-prem ERP requires constant upgrades, patching, and infrastructure management. With SAP Cloud ERP, this burden is removed, letting me focus more on process improvement and business outcomes rather than system upkeep.
Speeds up implementation and change
Preconfigured best practices and guided configuration reduce implementation time. For me, this means faster go-lives, quicker enhancements, and less firefighting during projects.
Solves real-time visibility issues
Earlier systems often depended on batch jobs and separate reporting tools. SAP Cloud ERP provides real-time analytics embedded in transactions, helping me make faster, data-driven decisions.
Reduces complexity across systems
By unifying operational and analytical data on a single HANA platform, it simplifies the landscape. This results in cleaner data models, fewer reconciliations, and more reliable reporting.
Supports scalability and future growth
As business requirements evolve, the cloud model scales easily. This benefits me by future-proofing solutions and reducing the risk of major re-implementation later.
Encourages process standardization
While sometimes restrictive, standardization actually helps streamline operations. For me, it leads to more predictable processes, better controls, and easier user adoption.
Overall, SAP Cloud ERP is solving the challenge of running an ERP that’s fast, modern, and innovation-ready, and it benefits me by saving time, reducing operational risk, and allowing me to focus on delivering real business value instead of maintaining the system.
