Hootsuite saves me time and hassle. Pertinent information is well organized and easy to access.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that all my information for each account can be found on one clean page, I'm not rifling through different tabs to find things. I can easily track mentions, new followers and my feed for each individual account that I manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
One minor complaint could be that I sometimes find the platform sort of sterile, maybe there could be themes or even dark mode. Sometimes I can get lost in the tabs as they all look basically the same.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Efficiency is probably the biggest business problem that I use Hootsuite to solve. It saves me so much time not having to go in and individually log in to each account that I manage. It also reduces my stress to schedule future posts, so I don't have to worry about getting things done last minute.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use Hootsuite if you want a very simple and clean management system.
Great Free Tool For Twitter
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best free social media dashboards, especially for Twitter. Hootsuite works well for scheduling content. It also helps streamline social listening across multiple channels and makes it easy to toggle between accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formatting for other channels such as Facebook and LinkedIn often gets messed up. And for a social media tool, their customer service via social is a bit slow/unresponsive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite makes the content scheduling process a lot more efficient and is helpful for toggling between accounts for real-time interactions with consumers.
Hootsuite is a quick & easy one stop shop for all things social media posting!
What do you like best about the product?
I can do all of my social media postings from one platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is harder to repost & share post from people you follow. I prefer to do that straight from the Facebook or Twitter sites.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like the reports section. It make it easier to take numbers directly to our clients so they can track how we are providing a service to them.
Good not Great
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to schedule posts. It helps me focus my attention to other things.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that the software doesn't seem to its full potential
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm wasting less time on social media every day. Instead, I can schedule in advance and not worry about it until I have to schedule again.
Great Multiple Platform Management
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to manage numerous profiles across multiple platforms with one program.
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface could be more user-friendly, especially for those businesses managing 10+ profiles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It streamlines our social media profiles and makes posting across multiple platforms a breeze, saving time and increasing efficiency.
User friendly
What do you like best about the product?
We started with a brand called Sysomos for social listening, but it didn't have the customization options we needed. HootSuite was easier to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Did not allow us to combine all social listening platforms in one measurement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used it to see how far our content was going on social media to gauge how to better distribute it.
Helps with managing social posts.
What do you like best about the product?
That you can schedule multiple posts for later delivery.
What do you dislike about the product?
That the free based isn't more help and is so limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social contests and customer interaction.
Overall, pleased with hootsuite.
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to queue up posts for multiple social networking sites all from one platform is an obvious advantage to using Hootsuite. Creating streams also makes it easy keep up with relevant communities and happenings in my area all in one place without having to link them to, say, my personal Twitter or Facebook profile. Though I have not personally had much occasion to use some of the "deeper functions" (analytics, various plug-ins, etc.), just being able to engage with all platforms from one dashboard saves me a lot of time and effort, and I would recommend it on that basis alone.
What do you dislike about the product?
"Scheduling" posts to Instagram is still not as straightforward as it is to other platforms: rather than "posting" a given item on your behalf at the scheduled time, hootsuite allows you prepare a post in an advanced, then will send you a push notification at said time to post them "the old-fashioned" way. As a result, you will still need to manually post each one from the Instagram app on your phone. This is symptomatic of Instagram as a platform, and not really the fault of the hootsuite team, but it is still not the solution I think most brand managers are looking for. That said, it is still probably the best workaround there is, and I would still reccomend the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work at a small art gallery, and use hootsuite to communicate brand-related news and events (ex: ''original unframed sketches now for sale!"), as well as increase our artists' visibility.
Doesn't integrate well
What do you like best about the product?
Allows me to pre-schedule content to be posted on our Facebook and Twitter
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't integrate well with Facebook: posts don't look as well crafted as in the native platform. By this, I mean the photos don't position themselves correctly and there is often weird spacing in the text. Also it doesn't integrate well with Instagram due to Instagram's inaccessibility for third-party apps. Hootsuite also often doesn't work and comes back with a "something went wrong" message, meaning your content wasn't posted as scheduled. Because it doesn't integrate well with Facebook and barely integrates with Insta, to me, it's not worth using, even for free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We tried using Hootsuite because scheduling social posts in advance in one place is less time consuming than scheduling on the native platform or posting the content at the intended time, however, it doesn't seem to be a good solution.
Social media monitoring for Govt
What do you like best about the product?
Although social platform usage for Govt are limited, Hootsuite makes monitoring of social accounts that are accepted easy. Especially with Twitter, keeping track of dirty or spam replies is important to maintain image and reputation. Hootsuite makes cleaning that up and monitoring it easy, all in one spot.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can become overwhelming with too many platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When controversies or hot topics arise dealing with our organization, keeping an eye on our social channels can be incredibly important. The analytics of our responses to problems or emergencies helps us understand our reach to citizens.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider other options if you are only monitoring one major social media network. Hootsuite may be overkill for you otherwise.
