What do you like best about the product?
I love how you can create all the content in one platform for all clients
What do you dislike about the product?
The links are no longer able to be shortened through Hootsuite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps keeps our business organized and all clients together.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Bring back the link shortening feature.

I enjoy the ability to do so much from one screen. It’s helpful when working with several platforms at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the old-style look of the backend of Hootsuite. They need to invest in making it more modern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’re able to schedule postings, monitor pages and see real-time results which has given us a better understanding of our fans and followers.

HootSuite: For All Your Social Scheduling Needs
What do you like best about the product?
HootSuite allows me to monitor and control several different social channels all from a single location.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the design of the actual platform...the colors and such. Sorta dull.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to seamlessly schedule social posts across channels from a single location.
Fairly Simple Social Media Manager
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite makes it easy to post simultaneously to several different social platforms. It saves the time of having to reload websites for all the different pages I manage. Also saves the time it would otherwise take to type and re-type captions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could see a preview of how links would appear on Facebook. You don't get a preview, and it's always a surprise to see if an image (never mind the correct one) will be featured. Also, I would like to be able to slightly tweak the captions for different social media networks without creating a totally different post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to work 9-5 and still get posts out during the early morning and late evening hours.

The ability to post to multiple social media platforms

The inability to post directly to communities or groups which make up 80% of our marketing tactics.

Mass General Reach
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite has recently announced more issues with customization links with Facebook and others. This is a not a good sign that Hootsuite is heading in the right direction. Ease of use is required and this takes it down a whole notch.
Hootsuite for Social Monitoring and Posting
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can aggregate a number of social profiles into one tool and set up feeds for each. It's also easy to post to multiple platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the analytics are limited especially for certain channels like Instagram.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to monitor, post and analyze our social media activities through this one tool, which helps simplify the need to monitor separate sites.
Get the job done, but could offer way more
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to set up stream to monitor activity on various channels. Ability to post to various accounts and channels.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limit to how many tabs you can have, and how many streams you can have within a tab. Reporting is awful and does not give you analytics you need, the exported report document takes up a single metric per page. Does not report on reviews.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team manages Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts for over 250 clients. We use Hootsuite to post to these various channels so we don't have to log into each one every day.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hold your sales rep accountable. Our oversold us and promised us many things only to find out later that Hootsuite is not in a place to offer to develop the things they promised.
Solid enough for your basic SM org needs
What do you like best about the product?
It was great tool at the onset of SM for aggregation and monitoring. It kept all of my keyword searches organized and was rare to experience any bugs or mishaps. Great for those with a lot of personal twitter followers to keep your twitter feed from becoming a cluttered nightmare.
What do you dislike about the product?
It didn't adapt enough to the evolution of SM. Plus I just didn't need it anymore at my current position. Im sure it is still a solid product.

It was great tool at the onset of SM for aggregation and monitoring. And it was also great for live opinion gathering.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
make sure it will cover the full scope of your needs...they were an OG but there are a lot of options available out there these days. Do the research.
It doesn't always work smoothly.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it has everything I need to look at right where I need it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes posts do not go through or send, and that's frustrating to have to enter and re-enter over and over again. It's not the most reliable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It can hit a wide audience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just prepare yourself to make and re-make posts when they don't send when they're scheduled to post.
