Proficient tool, but free version is limited
What do you like best about the product?
I love the interface itself. The UI is intuitive and easy-to-read. The feeds that can sit next to each other help me to visualize what I need to be showing across our different channels.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reports and other functions are limited to the paid plans, which can get expensive for businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been able to get a much better picture of what our "social presence" looks like by having the aggregation at our fingertips along with the capability of integrating with our existing Microsoft tools for organizing tasks related to social media.

I can actually schedule Instagram posts in advance

Make sure you actually need it and it’s a worthwhile investment

Scheduling tweets and not having to worry about them, it just happens

I've found it impossible to use this to schedule anything to Instagram, even when using the app to try and publish them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating out Twitter feed. I still log in, but if there is something we're trying to push, I can schedule everything at once.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I loved SproutSocial but it wasn't something my company would pay for. HootSuite is functional and you can't beat the price. I don't utilize it as much as I could, but may use it more in the future.
Great platform for scheduling and monitoring social media posts
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to schedule posts across all networks - it is very efficient and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to be able to track specific hashtags in a way where Hootsuite was able to count and measure their success for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me be more productive - I am able to get social media scheduling ready at one time, and easily tweak things on the go.

Easy to maintain all social channels in one place. Great scheduling feature

I'm concerned that Facebook isn't pleased about the use of this product and that posts are not as visible
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm super busy and having everything in one place is really helpful. It's also great that I can schedule posts outside of business hours. Tracking my hashtags and following others is also very easy!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My only concern with the product is in regard to Facebook lowering the ranking of posts coming from this software. The same is true for its competitors, though, so it's not better or worse than competitor products in regard to this particular issue.

The layout and organization makes viewing and scheduling posts seamless.

It does not allow me to schedule posts for .MOV videos.

Managing 10+ Instagram accounts which has become so much easier to monitor with Hootsuite.
An absolute must have for every social media marketer/coordinator/lover
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite provides almost endless opportunitues for managing your social media efforts. With Hootsuite it's easier to schedule posts for multiple social media accounts. The service also provides valuable analytics insights that can help you improve your social media strategy. I personally love the Mentions feature which let you know if someone on the chosen social media platform talks about you, your brand or your competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, Hootsuite doesn't want to work with Pinterest as well as with VK.com, the main Russian social network.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an agency, we have to manage tons of social media accounts on different pltforms. It takes a lot of time and energy. Hootsuite makes it simpler and faster. What is also important is the fact Hootsuite doesn't block the most important features even if you work with the platform using a free plan.

The biggest problem has been posting issues, but I really like how I can plan an entire week's worth of social media postings and then forget about it until it's time to review.
The best solution for admins of multiple social media accounts or channels
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Hootsuite is the ability to schedule Tweets. I've never found a better solution, and to date, Twitter itself does not offer this feature. There is nothing more efficient that scheduling Tweets for the week or month ahead. You can always stop a Tweet, if you have a fresh one for a certain time. Or you can reschedule. This feature saved me when I had to admin multiple Twitter accounts for different clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the interface was a little more visual. All on one screen, utilizing color to POP my week ahead scheduled items. Also show every account across a top menu clearly on one screen. I guess I felt the app was not as responsive, or scalable as most. More like using Excel or something, I'd have to scroll to hidden accounts across top menu.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving tons of time by scheduling social items and having snapshot of social media strategy implementation all in one place. MUST HAVE for social media admins.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you admin more than one social media account, if you want to schedule posts and walk away free as a bird for the day, week, or month ahead. This is your app!
