Not Impressed
What do you like best about the product?
They offered social media management and a way to try to control our posts
What do you dislike about the product?
bulky old feeling and not user friendly and really not user friendly at all.

Hootsuite Allows you to manage your social media platforms
What do you like best about the product?
HootSuite allowed you to manage multiple social media platforms under one roof - this is a real time saver for businesses as you can schedule content and respond to incoming messages through the platform. Ideal for a small social media agency or a business with multiple profiles.
What do you dislike about the product?
When trying to use HootSuite at a larger scale it became very hard to manage due to the layout and we wouldn't have been able to keep our SLA's.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time and improving efficiency are the two main problems solved with HootSuite, the reporting and dashboard may also make it easier to amalgamate your reporting and see all your stats in one place too.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're going to use the software make sure you plug in all profiles and take full advantage of it to ensure you gain the most from in terms of reporting and time saved.
Frustratingly Limited, but a necessary evil
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to schedule out posts and see what's trending. The dashboard area is nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate the fact that Facebook limits the reach of these posts. I hate that Facebook's own content publisher is much more rich for businesses. It's almost completely useless to schedule posts in Hootsuite because they never display correctly on Facebook.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling posts for maximum impact.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Continue using Facebook. It's not worth it, especially when Tweet Deck allows you to schedule.
Hootsuite for Agencies
What do you like best about the product?
We love the ability to see streams for both accounts and locations, as well as the bulk upload tool for building posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The functionality for interacting with posts isn't as rich as other similar platforms. Also, the message composer isn't quite as user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes managing day to day posts and mining for user generated content so easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for day to day management. Not as rich for interacting with posts.
Additional Set Up Required
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to store captions and photos on the app and schedule for future posting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the HootSuite website required additional setups and steps through a mobile device, which ultimately saves the photo to your phone and requires approval for every scheduled post. It takes the ease out of scheduling posting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Advanced scheduling has been made easier and allows my team and I to put our focus on other things.

Hootsuite is a Hoot
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ease of use in managing multiple social media networks all from one place, scheduling updates, collaborating and delegating as a team, and the customized analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest thing that comes to mind is that add-ons get expensive quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used Hootsuite when I was an intern at a major publishing house to schedule a social media marketing campaign weekly and into the future after my internship.
Great
What do you like best about the product?
I love that everything is in one place. It is a lot easier to manage campaigns and schedule post. I love that it is in one spot. The different app that can be added to the HootSuite account is also helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really dislike the new update Facebook and Instagram did, we cannot comment through HootSuite. You cannot follow or unfollow either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving a lot of scheduling problems, being able to find new people and make life overall easier.
Simple, Easy, and Inexpensive
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I am able to see all of my social media platforms in one screen. I like that you can time posts so that you are able to step away.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that you have to have a specific ratio size for Instagram. I do not like that it auto rotates pictures that are taken in landscape mode and the only way you find out is after it posted and is rotated sideways. This has caused a lot of embarrassment for me when I rely on an auto scheduled post because of a busy day and my corporation I represent has to text me about a sideways picture. Another issue is that the app version of Hootsuite doesn't show GooglePlus pages in the streams when you post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage several social media platforms and can make posts and create analytical reports with hootsuite for an affordable cost. The biggest problem that I have been able to solve with Hoosuite is having a busy class and work schedule but still wanting to maintain a cared for relationship with the companies I take care of online. I can schedule posts any time in the day that launch themselves every 3-4 hours all while traveling or sitting in a long lecture, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Compare other platforms as well. This one is under $15 a month for the basic package, which to me, is reasonable. If you need to collaborate with a team, all using the same account, you might want to upgrade.
Great platform for social media management
What do you like best about the product?
I love how you can, even on the free version, connect multiple social media platforms and see what you have scheduled, what has been posted, replies, etc. You can also create different tabs that are specific to each platform. It is AMAZING!!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like about Hootsuite is that it doesn't post to Instagram for you. I would say, however, that this would more than likely become a feature in the near future!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media management! I am able to schedule out multiple posts in advance. It takes a ton of stress off!
