Best Social Media scheduler
What do you like best about the product?
As a Hootsuite user for 7 years now, it is by far my favorite social media management software. Creating, optimizing, and posting social media for different platforms, etc. takes a lot more time than you would expect. Not only do you have to craft each post to fit each platform you're posting to you have to choose the best time, use the right hashtags, shorten URLS, and include something interesting (i.e. picture, video, content). Overall, what many believe will only take them 10 minutes, in reality it can take up 2-5 (or more) hours of your work week; even more when you include the content creation for the actual posting. Hootsuite is the best tool for compiling all your social media efforts into one dashboard you can work from and will definitely knock hours off your work week. PROS The best feature of Hootsuite is the time you will gain. Most social media platforms have a scheduling aspect to them but having to manually log in and out of each one, to do so, is not feasible or conducive for speed. Hootsuite provides you with analytics on each of your chosen platforms, located in its dashboard, to help you identify the most optimal time(s) to schedule each post to be sent out; this especially comes in handy for days you know you will be on the go and/or do not have access to technology. You can also scroll through past social media posts, save unfinished drafts, and boost posts for content promos; which will provide you with more insight and/or a better understanding of which of your efforts and/or CTA's are working best. Hootsuite's platform has various analytics and reports you can export so your team(s) can measure things like conversion rates, marketing and sales initiatives, and improvements in monthly social capital. One of the neat things about this platform is the option to purchase additional social media management applications for things like YouTube Analytics and video posting, Wordpress blog analytics and posting, Google Analytics, etc. Hootsuite also provides the option to export reports (including customized reports) on any of the platforms connected to your account, to measure competition, areas of improvement, click stats, and which platform is bringing in the largest amount of traffic to your website/content, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the cons of Hootsuite is its inability to detect whether or not your traffic is originating from an actual human or an automated bot. This can interfere with your data and make it hard to decipher if the data you have access to is valid or not; this is true for Google Analytics as well. To avoid this, we use a third-party application for visitor tracking (Lead Liaison). You may get notifications that your social network(s) have been disconnected from your dashboard; don't worry, you simply just have to reconnect them. Although I am not sure why this happens so often, I trust that this has nothing to do the security of my account and I always receive notifications when I sign in to my account from a new device, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is imperative for anyone who needs to schedule social media posts and is just really useful to also have multiple people scheduling posts
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The fact that Hootsuite offers flexible plans that even enable you to try out the features for free and then slowly upgrade to higher plans, as per your requirements, makes it a hot favorite among most of the highly popular social network management tools, but over all it’s very expensive for what you get, considering that there’s platforms like Sendible offering the same things plus additional and innovative functionality for a lot less per month!
Hootsuite review
What do you like best about the product?
I love the functionality of Hootsuite and how easy it is to use when having mutliple social media platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact of sometimes like all technology it often logs me out or disconnects me from the different platforms and how your not able to add mutule accounts under one umbrella
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to schedule post to go out duringove events, schedule different post during various times and days of the week for clients.
I would have given a 10
What do you like best about the product?
HooteSuite helps me to be able to easily access my sites and sites of clients. Scheduling by post is easy enough and I am working with bulk posting in 2019 to reduce the time that it takes to make individual post. All in all it has been fun using this program and I like that it is mostly consistent even through the changes that have happened with Facebook and Instagram.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wanted to create a HooteSuite for a few clients and in turn hopefully get them to start a paid account, but what happened is that when creating the single account for a client it completely erased the information and I am currently unable to get in. When showing this site to the client and I couldn't get in I was so embarrassed and felt that in trying to troubleshoot the reasons why it happened I couldn't connect with Hootsuite to easily get answers. All in all, currently I had to put this client under my account so that I could manage their page. This may look bad to my client and now how can I get them excited about the product. I am still excited about the product so I will keep trying
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So many benefits in regards to scheduling and consistency of posting and reporting. Keep up the great work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Learn to utilize the features that Hootsuite provides. They will make life a little easier.
Hootsuite is the best option to manage our networks
What do you like best about the product?
The Hootsuite agenda feature is highly customizable. It has been very easy to organize our material for social networks, and it is safe against the loss of information (it offers saved drafts). Allows us to edit our posts again even when they are already scheduled to be published
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not as useful to manage Foursquare as it is with other networks. The basic payment plan greatly limits the number of devices from which you can work simultaneously. Hootsuite's added network search engine is complicated to understand
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because our small advertising agency is growing, we need a service that allows rapid management of social networks. Hootsuite is very direct and quick to understand, so it has helped us significantly with this. Also, it works on the web, so we did not have to deal with installation problems as we did in the past with other similar services
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite integrates seamlessly with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Community managers who focus on these social networks will find that Hootsuite is an amazing tool for managing posts and analytics. We recommend it completely if it is to work with these networks
Social media managing and scheduling Software in one Click and Post!!.
What do you like best about the product?
It is one of the best social media managing software which is easy to use. It includes free trials which helps the beginners experience all the required features needed and leads them to use further. It also provides tutorial at the dashboard which is clear to understand and use the software. The social media platforms can be pinned or unpinned according to our usage. I personally use three software includes Facebook, twitter and LinkedIn. It makes my work more easier while posting through this software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I personally don't have much negatives as its my favorite social media platform with highly rich features, but I have a suggestion about its cost that is for beginners it may cause little difficult to afford this software as it quite pricey.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its helping me out in making my work more easier while posting on social medias. I could share the content in one click and post in all my three social media accounts which is certainly an advantage for me. Its scheduling is by pinning and unpinning the social media as per our needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would sure recommend this software for others because they can try free trails. The main advantage is free trials include all the rich features so that beginners could understand more about the software. And for beginners they also provide instructions which helps them guide in right path. I nearly use three of my social media accounts which is well managed through this software and makes my work easier while doing my postings.
An Industry Standard, But Heavy Duty
What do you like best about the product?
Hootsuite takes all the social media platforms and puts them into one easy to use place on the dashboard. Cross platform content curation is made easy with their intuitive system that allows you to cue posts in advance.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be too heavy duty for smaller projects that don't require as much power. In that sense it may overwhelm a new team, however it also means that it will scale well when the company grows. For our purposes, we didn't need such a strong system and ended up just posting mainly on our own without the help of a third party.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the issue of Social Media management with Hootsuite.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hootsuite just discontinued their analytics! Know before you sign up.
Hootsuite is ideal for community managers
What do you like best about the product?
We think it's great that Hootsuite does not have a limit in terms of the number of social network profiles that we can have attached to the platform. The agenda of Hootsuite is excellent, not only is it simple to use it, but it also offers a very extensive personalization for notes (especially for a web service)
What do you dislike about the product?
It is uncomfortable to have to log out so that another community manager of our team can enter the platform and programs their posts. In case of not doing so, the session will be closed and valuable time will be lost. Does not offer possibility to schedule posts for LinkedIn
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a huge problem with tracking our figures on LinkedIn. With Hootsuite it is much easier to track the followers of our content. Now we usually take less time planning marketing strategies for networks, since Hootsuite has made the work of analyzing numbers more practical
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We recommend the use of Hootsuite mainly if it is independent pages and freelancers. We recommend anyway to write each post to be programmed in external folders, not only to be better organized, but also to have a backup in case there is a problem with Hootsuite (it is unlikely, but it is good to be cautious)
Saves time but can't customize posts as much
What do you like best about the product?
Allows me to not have to think about my social media posts for awhile. Having the system auto post to three accounts saves time and energy.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't change filters, photo size, or see popular hashtags when you're prepping your posts. If you want to send something to Twitter, you would have to write a new post because of it's small word limit compared to FB and Insta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving the problem of spending too much time on administrative tasks. Using hootsuite allows me to focus on running and directing the business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Only use Hootsuite if your business is highly dependent on social media. The more I run the business, the more I feel like social media may not be needed to succeed. Therefore, even the time scheduling posts on hootsuite can take a large chunk out of my day and distract me from more important tasks. If you've already decided on keeping social media, hootsuite can help eliminate the time spent thinking of posts on the spot. It can also help you delegate this task to another individual.
Making life easier one post at a time.
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part about Hootsuite is how much time it saves me. I'm running social media accounts for multiple companies, and Hootsuite ensures I get all posts quickly posted on the right accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The feed channels were a bit confusing to understand at first. but I got the hang of them quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using the scheduling feature, I've made posts more regularly and consistent, so that my followers gain better visibility of my companies.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get on this as fast as you can. Posting one by one is a thing of the past.
A great tool but prepared to see "Upgrade your plan to do XYZ" a lot.
What do you like best about the product?
It's a great way to manage multiple social media accounts for multiple clients and keeping those clients compartmentalised within their own groups. Best of all it makes cross posting across multiple social networks a breeze and the scheduled posts function (when it works) is a great time saver. The Hootsuite Academy is a good resource for learning more about the platform and, if you need it, some general advice about social media management.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a company, Hootsuite seem to be letting the price runaway with itself and, after a recent change, it's now more expensive forever. Whilst the company did allow older accounts to have their price plans grandfathered in, they also decided to artificially restricting new features and even taking away old features - namely Hootsuite won't handle Direct Messages from social profiles on those grandfathered accounts. It blamed this on API changes by the social networks, and whilst I understand Hootsuite is beholden to the whims of social media platforms, this was dishonest as Hootsuite are happy to offer this service... if you pay more.
"Upgrade your plan to export and analyze your data in convenient Excel or CSV formats!" is another example of Hootsuite artificially restricting lower priced plans. I can understand the need for price banding but it would be an easier pill to swallow if more features were available for ALL users with the only price band restrictions being related to the number of social accounts/clients you can add or perhaps the total Fans/Followers each band can handle (eg forcing the big companies to fork out more for the service than a mom and pop store)
The Hootsuite Academy resources are free. The courses are free. The exams are free... but if you want Hootsuite to certify that you've passed them (they call it being accredited) then be prepared to pay a lot.
There are regular webinars but unfortunately they're not about the Hootsuite platform, lessons on best practices for using it, deep dives on advance functions etc - they're more generalised industry webinars that sometimes come across as sycophantic and self promotional for Hootsuite rather than helping users. Oh and you have to Flash enabled (in 2019) to take part!

Time. Time. Time. It saves so much time! Uploading a spreadsheet full of social posts makes scheduling a breeze though it's a shame that if you are using images you then have to manually attach them one at a time rather than just bulk uploading them referencing them in the spreadsheet and letting the Hootsuite platform handle it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the Hootsuite Education courses hand in hand with your first few weeks of using the platform. Unfortunately Hootsuite feel the need to charge you if you want them to verify that you passed their exams and give you accreditation, however the courses themselves are available free of charge. This is just one of the any ways they rinse agencies for extra cash beyond the base subscription.
