Great with Limitations
What do you like best about the product?
Makes it easy to schedule posts for business or personal use. The interface is incredibly user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's limited ability to do certain things for each platform. For example, you can't publish an Instagram post that contains more than one photo, you can only post one photo at a time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite allows us to plan our content well in advance, eliminating the worry of live publishing at certain times. We have a greater ability to put out more content with the ability to schedule ahead of time.
Hootsuite is One of the Best Social Media Schedulers
What do you like best about the product?
The best features of Hootsuite are the fact that you can schedule all of your posts from one place. That alone is a huge plus. Not to mention that it makes it easy to tailor your posts for whatever specific social media platform you are posting to. It is great for businesses who have a budget to invest in planning a social media calendar and scheduling a month or more of posts at a time. And it works great for individuals or even small businesses who use the free plan to post to up to 3 social media platforms at a time as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the main drawbacks is that for some channels it cannot do quite as much as the social media platform itself. For example, in my experience with the free version, it has not allowed me to add multiple images to a post on Instagram. It usually just uses the first photo that I added to the post and does not include the rest. Also, for Facebook, if I've added more than one image to the post it has posted multiple posts with the same copy for each image I added. Not huge drawbacks, but just be aware that on occasions where you want to make a more "complex" post the native platforms may work better for you. Also, some of the different social media platforms have had to prevent certain streams from being allowed on the Hootsuite platform due to privacy issues, so I hope Hootsuite can find a way to work with them to get those streams back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite has saved me TONS of time by allowing me to schedule multiple posts ahead of time for a number of different social media platforms all in one place. It is very user friendly and has a decent user interface. Also, there are easy step by step tutorials and a great learning center if you have any questions about how to do something. Overall, I personally have not used a platform that has allowed me to do so much in one place, which is why I love using Hootsuite.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sign up and try out the free version! Even if that is all you use the time that it saves you and the ease of having everything in one place are definitely worth it!
Great for monitoring social listening
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Hootsuite makes it easy to follow not just who is talking to you on social media -- but also to "listen" to various hashtags and accounts so that you can deepen whatever conversation you're having on social media.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve to really get the streams going, and to use it beyond scheduling posts. I have found the people at Hootsuite helpful when I have questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to understand what topics are being talked about in my industry, plus, ease of joining that conversation. This helps to position my brand as a leader / colleague in my field.

What do you like best about the product?
For the price, it's one of the cheapest social scheduling services out there. You can post across multiple accounts (Hootsuite offers the most accounts for the lowest pay tier).
What do you dislike about the product?
They don't automatically reformat/resize your videos for you. Such as instagram, to schedule a video, the bitrate speed has to be under 5, and even when I have it at 4.99, I still get the error message. It seems pretty picky and can get frustrating. You also can't upload a video and select it to post across platforms. You can for images, but for video, you have to create separate posts for each platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main benefit is not having to remind myself to post things and can schedules posts hours, days, weeks, etc. in advance. Keeps me from working from home or tied to my computer at certain times.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would look across other platforms that are doing the same things. Hootsuite just needs to catch up with their users. They haven't really made big changes or updates in a long time.

What do you like best about the product?
We like hootsuite because it allows us to focus on target groups of clients. Your keyword filtering seems excellent, very easy to optimize, and also allows you to manage multiple social network accounts without the need to log out of an account before accessing another. We like very much how simple it is to carry out supervisions of social networks, and that it allows to keep track of the performance of each publication.
What do you dislike about the product?
As social Selling software it is wrong that hootsuite does not offer any tool to perform content discovery. It does not allow handling documents of any kind, limiting the edition directly to the web platform. It does not offer any possibility of engagement tracking, nor of tracking influencers. Your analytics campaign system is quite slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hootsuite has benefited us a lot with the speed of management of our social networks. A lot of time was spent going in and out of each account, mainly because these sometimes required identification by telephone. Hootsuite has also made it much easier to track the trends in the networks, allowing us to be quite up to date with what the public is liking.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We highly recommend hootsuite. Its ease of use when publishing on social networks has made it worthy of our praise. It is also highly recommended to encourage collaboration between co-workers, since you can follow up the automated publications of each of them.

I love that I can make one post yet cover posting for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram all at once. Even better, I can do it all for free. While there is a paid version, the free version is all I need.

I don't like that I can't post videos easily with it or multiple photos.

I use it to post to several different accounts at once. It is a huge time saver for me and time is money. It's a great tool for efficiency.
API problems with Instagram - Support will reply but not read your messages
What do you like best about the product?
Easy overview, good user interface and the ability to tag people and add locations. The other main competitors also have these features.

That is doesn't work
Support will not help you but waste your time by replying without ready your descriptions of the problems.
Support "online" chat honestly seemed fake... the online badge would come on in business hours and then disappear instantly when you press it to chat.

Helpful Tool - Needs A Little Work
What do you like best about the product?
Very helpful social media management software. They provide essential features for beginners and experts at no cost. The Dashboard presents you a complete set of social media tools that help keep track of your accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want to schedule a post with multiple images, you have to schedule it directly on Facebook or on Tweetdeck for twitter. Hootsuite will publish each photo as a separate post, but with the same text each time, instead of including all the images in one post.

Easily combining all social media platforms and managing content quickly and efficiently.
