User-Friendly Platform with Time-Saving Dashboards

  • April 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Asana to manage my grant team of 11 people, and it absolutely helps with communication, adhering to due dates, and centralizing information. I love the dashboard feature that gives me an overall view of progress and allows me to see a snapshot of everyone's task progress, which saves me time. I also love the "Curated Work" section; it is like a "one-stop shop". I use this section to pin all the necessary forms and documents that my team needs to perform their duties. Lastly, the thing I love most is that it is extremely user-friendly; I got my team up and running in a very short time. I also appreciate the 'Total task by completion status' feature, which is valuable for quickly seeing task completion status and saves me a great deal of time. The initial setup was extremely easy!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only potential issue thus far has been related to adding licenses. We needed 10 additional 'seats,' but were required to purchase 20 because of the number of 'seats' we already had. This could be cost-prohibitive for some and possibly hard to 'justify' to administrators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to manage my grant team, improving communication and adherence to due dates. It centralizes information, and the dashboard gives an overview of progress, saving time and aiding proactive task management.

Asana’s Flexible Views and Smooth Integrations Keep Our Team in Sync

  • April 12, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana's UI is one of its strongest assets, the ability to toggle between list, board, timeline, and calendar views means every stakeholder sees work the way they think about it, which alone reduces alignment meetings. Integrations with Slack, Google Drive, and Microsoft Teams are smooth and genuinely save time; getting a Slack notification when a task is updated keeps the whole team in sync without logging in constantly. Performance is reliable even across large, multi-team projects. The AI-powered task suggestions and auto-prioritization features are a nice touch, though still maturing. Onboarding new team members is relatively painless thanks to intuitive UX, most people are productive within a day or two without formal training.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing scales up quickly once you need advanced features like timeline, workload management, or reporting, what starts as an affordable tool can become a significant line item for mid-sized teams. The native reporting and dashboards feel limited compared to dedicated BI tools; getting meaningful cross-project insights often requires exporting data elsewhere. AI features are present but still feel surface-level, more of a roadmap promise than a current differentiator. Support response times can be slow on lower-tier plans, and onboarding resources, while plentiful, are often too generic to address specific enterprise use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves the chaos of managing multiple workstreams across teams that don't share a common way of tracking work. Before using it, project status lived in a mix of emails, spreadsheets, and Slack threads, making it hard to get a clear picture of what was on track and what wasn't. Now, cross-functional dependencies are visible, task ownership is unambiguous, and stakeholders can self-serve on project status instead of waiting for an update. The biggest benefit has been the reduction in coordination overhead, fewer status meetings, fewer dropped balls, and faster escalation when something is genuinely at risk

Powerful Yet Intuitive Platform for Managing Multiple Initiatives

  • April 11, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love everything about this platform; it’s truly exceptional and ideal for organizations managing multiple parallel initiatives. It’s powerful yet intuitive, which makes it easy to use even for personal tasks. It gives me a clear, user-friendly overview when I need it, while still letting me dive deeper into dependencies and capacity planning through Gantt charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, I honestly have nothing negative to say. I haven’t run into any issues, and I credit that to their attentive, efficient customer service team. It’s clear the team genuinely cares about its users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to assign responsibilities quickly and easily, and create and manage subtasks. It provides a complete operational overview of my projects. Furthermore, I appreciate the ease of generating reports and documenting progress directly on the platform-a significant advantage when working with clients who expect clear and structured updates.

Powerful Automations, UI Improvable

  • April 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana helps me have a clearer and more visual control of my activities. It sends me reminders of deadlines and allows me to automate my workflow. Additionally, I can send notices to my superiors, complete repetitive tasks faster, move tasks between different sections, and organize myself with the board view.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that you could polish your UI, as sometimes I find it difficult to interact with certain menus. It seems very oriented towards point & click use. Also, understanding the use of AI was a bit challenging for me. Perhaps accessing AI functions or when automating shouldn't be hidden. They could be more visual from the task section and the AI could provide me with useful information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to organize myself better, manage more than 20 campaigns at once, visualize my activities, receive deadline reminders, and automate my workflow, which makes it easier to handle repetitive tasks and notify my superiors.

Flexible Recurring Tasks and Reminders Make Asana a Strong Productivity Hub

  • April 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to set flexibly recurring tasks, to set reminders for further out future dates, to keep track of delegated tasks, to add subtasks to note when action has been taken, even if the original item isn't yet done. I like being able to add tasks by email (though I wish there was a way to set a deadline via email). Access via browser or mobile device. Comparative easy for learning basic functionality for new users. Views for more visual people vs. more list or data-oriented users.
What do you dislike about the product?
As you have added more functionality, it's become harder, more burdensome, to try to figure out how to best use Asana for my purpose. Id like more bite-sized training or examples, I'd like data sets I could play with to see if those formats would work with my data. I'd like a better sense of how to modify my data/format if I get started and then find it's not in the optimal format. As mentioned, I'd like tasks created from an email to have an owner assignment and due date (sending the task to myself creates another email). We're trying to test out setting up templates for projects that repeat themselves (e.g., all the steps before, during, and after hosting a webinar)... I'm not sure we've figured out the best ways to do this. I wonder about how we'll capture learnings from actual use to apply them back to our template and to activities based on the templates. I'm concerned that we'll create a monster... or require someone to be the manager of all the tasks and activities... rather than having each team member be reasonably self-sufficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Handoffs and complexity of how many people are contributing to a project are killing us! Having someone see that a task is assigned to another team member... that both see/know that task is being held. People forgetting to ask for inputs in a timely manner, or asking without providing all the necessary details. We are early in the process of trying to solve this. We're at the stage where lack of systems is so burdensome that it's hard to build the systems.
