Essential for Project Tracking, Needs Improvement on Timesheets
What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana's UI because it's plain and simple to understand. The versatility of creating custom fields and rules is something I really appreciate, especially since in agency work, no project is ever truly the same. I find it very helpful to be able to store documents, create tasks, and create organization-wide visibility into projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think timesheets is still limited being that there can only be one reviewer for time submissions. I find it important to be able to add multiple reviewers specifically because people take days off and the last thing I want to create is bottlenecks when approving timesheets. I think it would be great to be able to add multiple reviewers/approvers per team. In addition, the ability to be able to export timesheets by project in timesheets. So selecting the projects you want to export instead of creating a master CSV. I know you can export individually in each project, but it's a hassle to do one by one when you are leading multiple projects for a single client. Maybe the ability to export timesheets for all projects inside a portfolio could help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana centralizes our organization, making everything easy to access and becoming our source of truth. It's great for project and task tracking, and I love managing tasks, documents, and creating organization-wide visibility.
Asana was the program I didn't know we needed
What do you like best about the product?
Asana's multi-homing tool along with the rules and forms make cross tema collaboration so much easier if used correctly.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few missing features like being able to see who has viewed a comment or task and the way paid seats are calculated can be cumbersome for smaller companies on a budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross departmental collaboration, clear outline of goals and how each project is connected to the big comapny picture. Work intake and delegation.
Helps Keep Office on Track
What do you like best about the product?
Keeping clients and tasks regulated has been a challenge in the past, but with Asana, we can notify each other of certain tasks, deadlines, and other things to do per client without having to guess what is going on and scramble at the last minute. This app has been super helpful with keeping everything in line. Getting everyone in the office to learn Asana and how to create and assign tasks was very simple. All in all, we are satisfied with Asana so far.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit pricey, but it is worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps keep all of our tasks in line and ensures all the work is being done in a timely manner, all in real time.

Too many integrations that can potentially complicate a simple interface

The Ultimate Tool for Workflow Management
What do you like best about the product?
There is a small learning curve at the beginning, but once you understand the tools in Asana and how it can best work for you it is a really powerful aid. Asana is great for managing the day-to-day tasks as well as the larger projects that span weeks or months. The ability to transparently collaborate with colleagues is invaluable. I wish I could go back to some of my previous jobs and show them this tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel as though the UI could be improved. It's not the most intuitive design and you may end up looking around for what you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing tasks in a fast-paced work environment. Helps prevent things from slipping through the cracks.
Adaptable day to day planning
What do you like best about the product?
The day to day planning and goal planning and tracking of asana helps me put all the goals, plans and tasks in my head out into an app and lets me decide and change exactly how i want and need to do all of them. It also really helps with celebrating the small victories in everyday task completion
What do you dislike about the product?
I used the larder goal tracking with the free trial, but even though i can use everything i need to after the free period ended, i do miss the larger goal tracking behind a paywall
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My thoughts used to be a lot more scattered before using asana and it helps me see the bigger picture more frequently
Workflow effeciency
What do you like best about the product?
Asana keeps me on task and on time with deadlines and projects, it helps me to organize my day and stay up to date on new tasks that are coming in

Would like to see more custom fields, I have not tried the customer support yet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping me to track my critical task deadlines and implementing automated workflows
Game changer for my productivity and prioritization
What do you like best about the product?
Love that my team has been able to create templates for projects/releases so we can stay on top of/delegate all tasks related to content creation, knowledge base updates, and more. This has reduced the mental load of creating a successful kickoff and we can fine tune the details as needed, but the bulk of the project itself is ready to go. I also love that I can integrate with my calendar, so my assigned tasks and their due dates populate and I can prioritize my weeks appropriately.
What do you dislike about the product?
May be less of an Asana issue and more of an implementation issue - some of my team lives in Asana and are very effective at using, but others seem to be hesitant to integrate it into their workflows as the startup of building large projects with dependencies and approvals can be a bit of a big lift starting out. Maybe more proactive resources from Asana on how to get started could help ease some of that intimidation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our product is constantly evolving and this requires us to move quickly to create/update lots of content. Using projects to create tasks for all content work helps us track progress and delegate work equally across our team and due dates help us stay on track.

Some items can be difficult to navigate.

Clutter of projects, and taks.

Very easy to navigate. Color coded to know who is attached to what project.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only downside is that it is very easy to accidentally hit the 'mark complete' tab. I have to then go back into the project and unclick it.

Knowing who is on what job and when. Knowing what jobs are coming up.
