Granular project management system for multi-use

  • June 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are many project management tools similar to Asana, but there's one area where none can match it. I really appreciate how detailed and customizable Asana is. With features like custom fields, API integration, and various add-ons—all designed to be easy to use—I've yet to find any other software that comes close.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few important features I wish Asana had, and I'm surprised it doesn't. The main thing I dislike is that it doesn't work with the Apple Watch. I often think of tasks when I'm driving or out and about, and being able to quickly add them through my watch is very important to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a small team that works on many projects together. Asana makes it really simple to keep everything organized.

A useful tool for project tracking, but room for improvement

  • June 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a practical solution for organising projects and keeping track of tasks within a team. I appreciate how easy it is to assign responsibilities, set deadlines and collaborate across different projects. The user interface is fairly intuitive, even for those who are not familiar with project management platforms. The ability to integrate Asana with other tools is also a significant advantage.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Asana offers value for daily task management, I find its more advanced project features somewhat limited, especially in the free or basic plans. Key functions that would support more structured teams or complex workflows are locked behind premium subscriptions, which may not be cost-effective compared to other platforms. In addition, features such as task dependencies and reporting could be more flexible. In high-volume environments, Asana can feel overwhelming without a strict internal structure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps centralise task management and project tracking within the team. It provides better visibility on responsibilities and deadlines, reducing the risk of missed tasks. It also facilitates communication on ongoing projects. However, for more complex workflows or high-volume activity, additional tools or stricter processes are still required.

Strong platform with intuitive features

  • June 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana provides clear accountability and accessibility for team members to assure tasks, objectives, and projects are a clear application of the ideas that spawned them. The connectivity/dependencies of tasks are helpful, and the features keep improving.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I wish tutorials were available simply by toggling on a "Help" cursor and then hovering over certain things, so you could understand what they mean. Some of the AI features seem to be turned on automatically and are creating tasks for me, I don't prefer that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping to solve sequential problems or business development projects that have phases and involve many people over a long period of time.

Asana - Great Tool for Staying Organized and Keeping Projects on Track!

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. The webinars are incredibly helpful and the support is top notch. Great tool for staying organized and on track. Easy to read and understand and a great quick glance to see the status of the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not come across any issues that I can think of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Event planning is a breeze. Whenever we have a "what we could do better next time" moment, we add to next years event in Asana. Great for tracking all of the steps.

Asana continues to innovate in ways that align with our company's needs

  • June 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Our integration with Asana spans not just our Asana software, but also our custom middlware project that ties our other ticketing and case management systems. The AI tools that have come along with Asana, and the enhanced rules implemented the last year have been really helpful in allowing us to more easily pinpoint the work needed to be accomplished.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is difficult for me, as we have a workflow that we have been able to customize to fit our needs perfectly. We also have not touched a lot of the different tools, including some of the new Goal management features, so it is hard to say if what we might need doesn't already exist. So I really cannot think of anything that we need or wish worked differently as of today.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work for a software company in the development department, and Asana has been a fantastic tool for organizing our workflows and project/product management. Through their API, we have been able to connect all of our organizational software tools like Salesforce and Azure Dev Ops to create a single source of truth for our team, as well as for reporting. This allows our team to work in one tool all the time, and still effectively communicate our progress with other teams in our company that use different tools.

We have a domestic and distributed development team, so the ability to work in Asana and have that work reflected in Azure Dev Ops for our distributed team is essential to our efficeincy.

We can get more done with less clicks

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana allows teams to like tasks to multiple projects and tracks goal progress simultaneously. It displays information in a color coded format that makes it easy to organize and prioritize
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike is the fact that it won’t link emails to specific tasks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is making my team more efficient by keeping our documents, goals, reports, and time logs in one place

Solo business-friendly, with tools to help me scale

  • June 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've used almost every project management tool out there, and while there have been pros and cons of each, quite often I've found that they have too much going on that it becomes overwhelming as a small business owner with a handful of clients at any one time. What I like about Asana is that it does the basics well, giving me the tools I need to manage my small (but important) number of projects, while also having scalability built in - I know that as I grow, Asana will adapt to what I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a bit of a learning curve to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a solo business owner, it's on me to make sure projects are getting done, tasks are being captured and that I'm working towards my big picture goals. Asana helps me track my daily tasks, managing outsourcing, keep clients in the loop on their projects and work towards big goals in bite-size chunks.

My team finally knows who's doing what thanks to Asana

  • June 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I simply love the way Asana makes it simple to handle tasks to an entire team. To know precisely what everyone possesses in a project is astonishing as in a case where we are rolling out a new site. The timeline view is by far so useful in showing us our progress. It is easy to visualize whether we are in the right track or we have to pay more attention in something. It simplifies the process of organizing complex projects to the extent that it becomes very stress-free to the concerned parties. We understand what to do further precisely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Say there are loads of notifications to be sent at times and this can be a little too much unless customized. When starting to use it, it might be a little overwhelming, at least on smaller teams of users. By getting to know everything a long time has to pass and practice is necessary. It is also prone to some congestion of the interface when you are having a lot of tasks and subtasks open. It is a pity that one could not have a simpler view to just check them out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We would deal with the issue of not knowing what everyone was supposed to do before Asana. There was constant failure in the ability to complete projects as key steps were not considered or dependencies not well understood. Today, there is a central point in every endeavor yet all tasks are owned and an assigned deadline is given using Asana. What it translates to is that we are making our project milestones and we are not doing so during unending status calls. It has helped the way it makes things clear, and this has minimized our stress and increased the productivity of our team. It is an organizing game changer that holds us responsible.
