Glean helps teams be more productive and saves time

  • October 11, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The search feature of Glean is amazing. Being able to type in a term and then filter based on file type, owner, or channel saved me so much time! I went from hunting for that one random file a colleague shared in a slack channel 10 months ago to finding it in seconds using Glean
What do you dislike about the product?
I never really figured out how the "homescreen" worked - why would I use that instead of my calendar and email. I am sure it has value, but that didn't provide a ton of value for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Glean makes it easy for people to find the resources they need to do their jobs. It's especially helpful for organizations, particularly late-early stage or hyper-growth, that have lots of systems and filing mechanisms that grew up organically and have become the "giant rubberband ball" of a mess.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that all of the content that I would want to know are there. I also like the homescreen.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a better way to do it other than a chrom extension.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have to go into multiple websites and search in each of their search bars

comprehensive and simple search

What do you like best about the product?
Information I need to do my job exists across a wide variety of enterprise platforms (slack, confluence, jira, etc,...). Though the organization is continually looking to centralize, curate and make it easier to find what I need, the bottom line is that a powerful search engine will be required regardless. Glean is such an engine. It's where I go to look across all the sources and point me in the right direction. It's simple, yet comprehensive... mostly (see my dislike below).
What do you dislike about the product?
The largest challenge in uptake AFAICT is making the data available for indexing. For various reasons (mostly security), organizations can choose to limit the scope of what can be indexed by Glean. This creates the obvious downside that information not being indexed will not show up in search results. This isn't a problem with Glean per se, though it does highlight the inherent balance between providing as much information available in results without exposing that which is more sensitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making available that which I need to be successful in my day-to-day activities. Reducing time to find (RTTF?) what I need is a highly valuable benefit.

Genius!

What do you like best about the product?
The way you can take notes efficiently! It's so difficult to keep up usually, but Glean helps you record the lectures and take notes in a way that you can read them when you come back to them, and actually use them to study.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integrations with other apps/programs/devices that we use in school could be easier, e.g. the ability to import slides from different devices. That said, the app is updated often so hope to see it being more robust in the near future!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keep track of notes! No longer need to listen to hours of recorded lecture or type furiously the whole class just to make sure I don't miss anything, since that means I can't listen to the actual content for fear that I may miss a little thing that may be on a test.

Amazing tool for note taking and to retained knowledge

  • July 08, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Glean is the ease of use. The UI is super clean and simple which makes navigating the tool very easy to use. I'm involved in multiple projects and attends multiple meetings per day, so having Glean really helped me improve my project management skill and retained knowledge and information during meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found any dislikes or issues yet. This tool is definitely better than having to manually keep track and retained information on notepad or google doc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem that Glean is helping me and my team solve is a centralized knowledge base for note taking and note sharing. Glean allows us to find, sort and neatly organized all our content to allow better collaboration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Continue to listen to customer feedback and add iterations to the product.

Feels like a cheat code for finding company info

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is simple and easy to use, so I use Glean dozens of times per day. Any time I start a new project or someone asks me a question that I'm unfamiliar with, Glean is the first place that I go. As a Sales Engineer, I need to find a lot of obscure knowledge, and Glean has saved me countless hours both in my own research and in getting fewer questions SDRs/AEs since they're able to find the answers themselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the downsides of Glean are its breadth of platform integrations. However, the Glean team has been happy to work with us to start building out the integrations that we've requested.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Glean, all of our resources were siloed. Each team used different platforms to store their info, so there were several different platforms to search through when looking for an answer - not to mention all the tribal knowledge. Now I see everything that I have access to in Google Docs, Slack, Guru, Slab, and all the other data stores in one easy place.
