Dependable Data Workflows Across APIs, CSVs, and Databases—Without Custom Code

  • April 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
FME, I’m able to pull data from multiple sources APIs, CSV files and databases and manage the processing all in desktop. Its particularly helpful when I need to build repeatable workflows and the built in tools handle most of the transformations I typically need, so I rarely have to fall back on custom code. Its been a dependable way for me to worl with FME.
What do you dislike about the product?
FME debugging can feel slow once flows get large. I’ve also noticed that some simple tasks take longer than I’d expect. The scheduled workflows are really helpful and easy tk rely on; they run in the background and generally work without issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps bring scattered data into a consistent structure within FME. That saves time during releases, reduces last minute data issues, cuts down on manual fixes, and helps ensure broken data doesn’t make it into production

No-Code Data Transformation That Saves Our Team Tons of Time

  • April 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about FME is how it lets you connect and transform data from almost any source without writing a single line of code. The visual drag-and-drop workspace makes it easy to build complex workflows that would otherwise take days to develop manually. It has saved our team a huge amount of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can feel a bit complex for simple tasks, and it takes time to get used to. Also, when something goes wrong, figuring out the issue isn’t always very straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps bring data from different sources into one place and makes it easier to clean and organize it. This saves time and reduces manual work, so things feel more streamlined.

No-Code Data Transformation That Scales Across 450+ Formats

  • April 22, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
FME's biggest strength is its no-code approach to data transformation. The visual workflow builder makes it possible to connect, convert, and move data between hundreds of formats and systems without writing a single line of code. Whether working with databases, spreadsheets, APIs, or spatial data, FME handles the translation automatically and reliably.
The format support is genuinely impressive over 450 formats and systems out of the box means you rarely hit a wall when integrating data from different sources. Automating repetitive data workflows that would otherwise require custom scripting saves significant time and reduces the chance of human error.
The platform also scales well the same workspace that works for a small one-off transformation can be scheduled, automated, and deployed at enterprise scale with minimal rework.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is steep despite the visual interface building and debugging complex workspaces takes considerable time to master. Licensing costs are also high, making it hard to justify for smaller teams. Performance can slow when processing very large datasets without careful optimization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FME eliminates the need for custom scripting when integrating data across different formats and systems. Tasks that would otherwise require developer time converting, cleaning, and routing data between databases, files, and APIs are handled through visual workflows that non-developers can build and maintain.
The biggest benefit is time. Repetitive data transformation jobs that once took hours manually are now automated and scheduled, running reliably in the background without intervention.

Powerful, Flexible Data Integration with Streamlined Visual Workflows

  • April 21, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
At Axibator, we used FME Platform to streamline data coming from different sources like spreadsheets, forms, CRM exports, and internal reports. What I liked best was how it automated repetitive data preparation tasks and combined everything into one clean workflow. It saved our team a lot of manual effort and reduced mistakes that happen when handling data across multiple tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is powerful, but initially it takes time to understand all the workflow components and best practices. For someone using it for the first time, there is a learning curve before you can fully use its advanced capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped Axibator solve the problem of scattered data across different systems. Instead of manually cleaning files and moving information between tools, we automated those processes. That improved reporting accuracy, saved operational time, and allowed our team to focus more on founder support and growth initiatives instead of backend admin work.

Reliable Daily Scheduling and Broad File Compatibility—Big Time Saver

  • April 21, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With the FME platform, I’ve able to set up daily runs between our systems and scheduling in flow has been consistently reliable for us and i also appreciate not having to code everything from scratch, which saves time and effort. Another major is how easily connects with wide range of file types, so I spend less time dealing with format issues and compatibility concers.
What do you dislike about the product?
FME workflows can get confusing over time. When they aren’t documented, its hard becomes difficult to understand older workflows later on. The flow Ui feels solid, but we still run into occasional issues with it even though we use it every day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has eliminated a lot of manual data fixing for us. Our reports are much cleaner now, and I spend less time double checking for errors. With FME the data is ready every morning without any follow ups saves time for me and across teams.

Flexible and Powerful Automation for Data Transformations

  • April 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I mainly use FME Platform for data integration and transformation tasks, and what stands out most is how flexible it is when working with different data formats. The wide range of integrations it supports also makes it easier to connect different systems without much hassle. Its automation capabilities are especially useful because they reduce manual work and help streamline repetitive data tasks. In particular, FME’s automation works well for recurring data processing needs like cleaning, transforming, and moving data between systems, since workflows can be set up to run on a schedule or trigger automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area that could be improved is the learning curve, especially for new users who aren’t familiar with data integration tools. Some workflows can become complex, and it takes time to fully understand how to optimize them. More guided onboarding or built-in tutorials would make a big difference for new users, particularly when it comes to setting up workflows.

The initial setup was manageable, but it wasn’t very straightforward if you’re new to data integration tools. Basic workflows were easy to start with, but configuring more complex processes required extra time and a clearer understanding of how the platform works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use FME Platform for data integration and transformation. It helps automate workflows, which saves me manual effort and supports consistent data across my processes. It also addresses the challenge of working with multiple data formats and cuts down the time I spend on recurring data tasks.

Effortless Spatial Data Conversion with Powerful Transformations

  • April 19, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I work with spatial data every day and FME platform makes format conversion a lot easier. I can move data between shape files, GeoJSON and Oracle DB without any issues. The transformation tools are quite detailed, especially when it cones to geometry fixes and attribute mapping and I like that it connects easily with AWS storage and SQL databases.
What do you dislike about the product?
As project grows, canvas can start to feel cluttered and harder to manage. It takes some effort to keep everything organized but the automation features have been reliable for me. I also like that it connects easily with AWS storage and SQL databases, which makes it simpler to work with the data I already use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, we struggled to share GIS data across teams because everyone was using different tools. Now the data is standardized and ready to use without extra rework. Having everything is in one place also makes it much easier to track manage and update when whenever needed.

Streamlined Reporting Workflows with Reusable Transformers in FME

  • April 18, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use FME mainly for scheduled jobs that support our reporting system. It connects to SQL Server, pulls in some API data and then pushes cleaned outputs into Power BI datasets. The ability to chain multiple steps into a single workflow is useful. I’ve also used custom transformers to reuse the same logic across different reports, which saves time and keeps things more consistent in the long run.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can feel a bit heavy for fast changes. When a stakeholder asks for a small adjustment, I sometimes prefer to handle it outside of FME because its simply faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its keeps our reporting data clean and well structured without needing constant manual checks. Thats made a real difference during month end reporting when things usually get hectic and we need everything to stay consistent.

  • April 16, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
FME platform handles data from a range of systems, including APIs, Excel sheets and GIS tools and it makes it straightforward yo bring everything together in FME and i regularly use transformers such as Tester and Joiner and the integrations with PostgreSQL and REST APIs have worked smoothly for me without issues. We also rely on automation through FME flow on a daily basis, once the workflows are set up, they run reliably and require very little ongoing input.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes debugging workflows takes longer than I expect and it can end up feeling less useful thsn other software where I can adjust workflows more easily as requirements change, the scheduling and automation features have also been reliable for me, which I do appreciate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its helped us centralize data processing. Instead of handling everything separately, we can now manage it all through dashboards, which saves time. That means I can spend more time on reporting and less time fixing raw inputs.
