Useful for demand management, project management, pre-sales activities, and planning
What is our primary use case?
We use the solution for various purposes, including demand management, project management, logging pre-sales activities, and planning. It helps us keep track of customer budgets, leads, and other important information related to demand and project management.
What is most valuable?
The tool's most valuable feature is its intuitive interface, which allows project managers to create comprehensive project roadmaps. This interface lets us list tasks and allocate them to team members, tracking who works on which task and when. We utilize it for project management from the initial phase.
The solution is flexible. The grid-based interface allows for customization, so I can focus only on what's relevant. This flexibility and dynamic sorting among the columns are strong features. Another valuable aspect is the board feature, which allows for much customization. You can organize your work, weeks, or schedule according to your preferences.
monday.com's dashboard feature helps boost my team's productivity. I've found the Azure DevOps integration to be the most beneficial. I believe there are third-party extensions available on the marketplace that fill the integration gap. It seems that monday.com is working with vendors in the market to make more of these integrations available.
It's a great tool. It allows me to manage many things in one place, both my tasks and day-to-day interactions within the team. I think the whole team resonates with it.
What needs improvement?
I believe the reporting functionality could be improved on monday.com. While some reports are accessible, this area has room for enhancement. For example, including a Gantt chart in project planning would be valuable. This addition could make monday.com more competitive with tools like Microsoft Project. Overall, I think there's potential for improvement in the graphical interfaces and reports provided by monday.com.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with the product for one and a half years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
We haven't experienced any lag so far. We use monday.com for cross-team collaboration. I can attach files and it works like a charm. The cloud version is very responsive for us, which is great. I rate its stability a nine out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I rate the tool's scalability a nine out of ten. My company has 400 users who spend at least an hour daily using it.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We switched from Jira because monday.com offers a much more intuitive interface. It's more stable and has a simpler learning curve. Additionally, the interface is more visually appealing and easier to navigate than Jira, which we found to be more complex.
How was the initial setup?
I rate the tool's deployment ease as seven out of ten. I found the installation process to be straightforward. Setting up multifactor authentication may take some time for those who are not tech-savvy.
Within a week of management making the decision. It was up and running quickly, taking only a few hours or days for setup. Overall, I would classify the deployment process as simple.
What was our ROI?
We can see ROI due to the solution's ease of use and improved management capabilities it offers. It has certainly alleviated a lot of pain points for us in management.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I rate the tool's pricing a six out of ten.
What other advice do I have?
I rate the tool a seven out of ten. My advice would be to explore the capabilities that it provides. Many people overlook some of its features. For instance, check out the options available in the marketplace. There might be integrations or extensions that monday.com doesn't offer out of the box, but third-party extensions can fill those gaps. Also, take a close look at the features within monday.com. Consider what you need to customize versus what it offers out of the box.

4) Creation of schedules and boards
What do you dislike about the product?

2) Allow for filtering of certain dates in different view filters and then also organized and sort the dates in only that view without changing the views other boards.
3) To have more automation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with keeping tabs on all the tasks and their updates, also communicating with team members regarding the tasks is super easy.
Game Changer
What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com ia a very visible platform that has enabled our processes to be moved to a system that is both flexible and user friendly. The benefits of using forms and integrating them to capture vital information has been 1st class.
As a non profit, the platform priovides such a range of templates and processes that has enabled real growth. Automations, templates, and notifications have been a real game changer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having a designated account manager so we can bounce off to understand topices or the best structure for the organisation. This is a very small dislike as Monday.com does provide ALOT of support online and through video tutorials.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are delivering a number of projects and services to a range of groups within the local community. As a non-profit trying to prove a new model works and to create a blueprint for other 'Change Centres', we needed something that is easy to use, quick to set up and also connect to existing systems. Monday.com provided this (and more!) where we now have digitised all our processes at a community/sports centre to enable real growth and proof that we are making an impact in the local area.

Great for shared organisation & prioritisation of group tasks
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to create lists, shared tasks boards, comment/tag others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only the option for a vertical, linear format can induce the 'scroll of doom' sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharng and prioritsing tasks.
My favorite work tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how flexible the platform is. I can use it for marketing and people on a completely different team from me can access and understand my boards. I use monday.com literally every day, and especially since it is integrated with WorkForms, it has become an indispensable part of how my team and I operate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are calculations I'd like to be able to do in Monday.com that just aren't doable with the existing fields and equations feature. I'd also love to see WorkForms built out more. For HIPAA reasons, we don't have a Typeform account, but every time I use WorkForms I find myself wishing it were more like Typeform! It really is so basic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com allows us to seamlessly connect and interact with our colleagues in a purely remote work environment. We use it mostly for task management and checking to see what everyone's progress is on our various action items and projects, but it has also become really useful as a place to host the responses we get for surveys and applications and create document libraries for our black hole of a google drive so we can all find what we need when we need it.
Freedom to create solutions
What do you like best about the product?
The freedom to create different boards and solve basically every single management challenge we face using boards and automations.
Its pretty easy to integrate with other tools and offers a pretty good costumer support when we can´t find the answers ourselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we face some instabillities in the platform, wich may causa issues in the workflow, like automations that doesn´t work the way they should.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem we solved with monday is workflow management and workload management. Now we can track almost every single task done in the organization and qe can measure our workforce more precisely.
Making It Easy To Stay Organized
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Monday.com is the ability it grants me to stay organized. Things are constantly being thrown my way, and having a system where I can organize my tasks and stay on track is paramount. I also love the visibility of collaborative projects. I don't have to worry about bothering my colleagues. I can view shared updates at my leisure.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to receive more hands-on training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com is helping me stay on target with intended deadlines for individual tasks and projects. I don't have the stress of memorizing everything or crowding my email calendar with things on my to-do list.
I utilized it to create a Training Request Form for my department, which also helps us keep track of our requests on our Monday Board. My leadership also has visibility into my department's training board if they want to see what we have been up to.
Great System Multi Use
What do you like best about the product?
Monday is always growing, and we can manage our full business using the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, I need a lot of columns and manual automation in order to create a simple formula.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can have a full visual all all the tasks coming into the business.
useful overall
What do you like best about the product?
With the paid version, this is useful - for a company or group. Annual payments are discounted. All in all, I would recommend.
What do you dislike about the product?
Best features require payment - can only purchase in segments of 5 though. Also, features can be discontinued at any time with request for customer feedback AFTER the fact, instead of before. Seems pointless at that point, personally. Definitely a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coordination of larger projects between different departments which may not otherwise communicate on a regular basis. Also, allowing upper management to keep an eye on high risk tasks without having to continually remember to follow up on those responsible.
