Dropbox

  • April 02, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My files always feel safe, easy to locate, and accessible from anywhere, which takes away a lot of stress and makes my day-to-day work feel simpler, smoother, and more organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
The storage feels very limited, and the paid plans can seem expensive for regular users. On top of that, syncing large files is sometimes slow, which gets frustrating when you need quick access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the problem of scattered files and the constant back-and-forth of sharing. Instead of hunting across devices or sending around multiple versions, everything stays in one place and updates automatically.

For me, it saves time and prevents confusion. I can access my files anytime, share them instantly, and feel confident that I’m always working on the latest version. Overall, it makes my work smoother, faster, and much less stressful.

Annoying, paywalls, lag, buggy features, low free cap, frustrating access/security

  • April 02, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
not much. i think the only feature i like is giving someone outside of the account access to upload files to.
What do you dislike about the product?
almost everything. everyone in my industry uses dropbox at some point. if someone wants to share files with me and my personal dropbox is full *because it fills up FAST due to low storage caps on free accounts* it has annoying pop up windows that block me from seeing or accessing the files that someone else is sharing on their account, and that's just to view them. i have had to open several dropbox accounts and have folks resend the links so i can view them. they are not stored in MY account, but it reads it as if it is. the security features are also annoying, they are confusing, multi-layered (you verify then it wants to reverify with even more steps, even though you successfully confirmed you have access through codes etc). flipping through files to view and go backwards is sometimes also annoying, it takes you out of the folder location and makes you re-sign in to view files you have permission to view. renaming files can be tedious as well, there's at least a 10-20 second buffer time to wait for the renaming to take affect before you can move on to another action. i've created links to media creators to use and upload their files to, and several folks said it didn't work or it wouldn't allow them to upload or they just received an error when trying to access the link. costly subscription for the most annoying cloud service ever.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
barely solves anything. if anything at all, it creates problems.

Effortless Syncing and Intelligent Collaboration for Modern Workflows

  • April 01, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox offers incredibly reliable, lightning-fast file synchronization and an intuitive interface that makes sharing large folders with external collaborators completely seamless. Its ability to integrate with almost any professional app ensures your workflow stays connected without any technical friction. Dropbox provides a scalable investment with a high ROI through seamless synchronization that boosts team productivity, complemented by an intuitive onboarding process and extensive support resources that make adoption effortless. Furthermore, its advanced AI integrations, like Dropbox Dash, transform simple file storage into an intelligent workspace that proactively helps you find, summarize, and organize information across all your connected platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the software is powerful, its pricing remains on the higher side compared to competitors, and the 2GB free tier feels quite restrictive for modern needs. Additionally, the lack of native zero-knowledge encryption on personal plans and a history of security concerns can make it difficult to fully trust with highly sensitive or confidential data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the problem of fragmented workflows by providing a centralized, "Virtual First" environment where files are always synced and accessible across all devices, eliminating the need for manual backups or physical storage. For a professional like you, this ensures that critical project documentation and automation scripts are securely stored and easily shareable with team members, allowing for seamless collaboration and uninterrupted productivity even when working remotely.

Clean, Reliable File Syncing and Effortless Collaboration

  • April 01, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love Dropbox because it has a clean, easy-to-use user interface. It feels reliable and simple, with straightforward sharing and uploading features. Dropbox also supports smooth collaboration and fast file syncing. The feature I love most is that, no matter how big the file is, it uploads easily and I can access it anytime and anywhere. It helps me store my data in a very organized way, keeping everything in one place, which improves my productivity and collaboration while saving me a lot of time. Overall, it helps me manage my data and files more efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about Dropbox is that the free storage is quite limited compared to others, which means you often have to upgrade your plan or subscription sooner than you’d like. Additionally, the pricing is a bit on the higher side, especially for individual users or small teams. Sometimes it also takes time to sync larger files, which can be frustrating. Overall, it’s a simple and reliable platform, but it would be much better if they improved the storage limits for free users and reduced the price for subscribed members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most basic problem solved by Dropbox is accessing documents and files across multiple devices, also solves the problem of scattered file storage and difficulty. It also maintains a hassle version confusion by keeping our data or larger files updated in real-time sync option which is more helpful when working on shared documents with our teams. The clean user interface and easy interface matters the most because this feature reduces the user time and easy file sharing system feature also reduces the need for large email attachments and improves my productivity and makes my collaboration faster and more reliable. Overall Dropbox is not depending on physical storage or sending files manually, it provides a centralized and secure place to store everything on cloud.
