What is our primary use case?

Our main use case for OneLogin is managing secure and centralized access across our HealthTech and FinTech platforms, primarily in real-life scenarios when team members need access to tools like the patient management system, financial dashboard, or different admin panels. OneLogin allows us to help them log in and securely access everything they need, and it also helps us enforce role-based security access controls, ensuring sensitive data points are protected.

OneLogin helps us manage role-based security controls by allowing us to define and enforce different access policies based on various user roles, scopes, and attributes, with a primary focus on security. In practice, we generally map users, such as clinicians and support staff or the finance team, to specific roles, with a focus on the HealthTech workflow. For example, whenever a clinician needs to access patient records at the treatment tool, the finance team should not have access to that data, while the finance team would have access to financial data. These are straightforward scenarios, and OneLogin also supports automated user provisioning and de-provisioning, which is really helpful. Whenever a user role changes or they leave the organization, their access is updated or revoked instantly, depending on the workflow.

What is most valuable?

The primary feature that we value about OneLogin is the security access control, and apart from that, there are many management features. First is Single Sign-On, or SSO, which allows users to access multiple platforms and applications with a single login. Then there is MFA, including risk detection, where the smart factor for risk-based authentication is very helpful for us. User provisioning and lifecycle management are also crucial, as they automate the onboarding and offboarding process, creating, updating, and removing access based on role changes. This reduces manual errors and ensures compliance, particularly in regulated environments like healthcare.

OneLogin has positively impacted our organization by improving security efficiency and access control. Implementing MFA and role-based access control has significantly reduced the risk of unauthorized access, especially with sensitive health records or FinTech data. We have seen improvements in our user lifecycle management; for example, onboarding and offboarding are much faster and more consistent. The system provides visibility and control, allowing us to manage access effectively and stay compliant with internal policies.

What needs improvement?

There are a couple of areas for improvement in OneLogin. While it is strong overall, the key areas that could be worked on include the ease of configuration for advanced workflows, as setting up complex role-based policies or integration across different systems in the HealthTech market requires considerable technical effort. A more intuitive setup process or guided configuration would be beneficial.

Visibility is another area that could improve, as determining where problems lie with OneLogin is not always straightforward. Additional logs, clearer error messaging, and better debugging tools would help. Additionally, UI and UX could be streamlined. The integration flexibility with niche platforms can also be improved, but the three key areas I have mentioned are focusing on visibility during troubleshooting and making debugging easier.

We also evaluated Okta but ultimately chose OneLogin for the balance of features, ease of deployment, and competitive cost, allowing us to centralize identity management and automate workflows effectively. I previously used Microsoft Active Directory and evaluated Okta, but chose OneLogin for centralized identity management, which supports faster processing for user onboarding, offboarding, and role provisioning.

What was our ROI?

When analyzing our investment return, there is a clear return regarding measurable time savings and reduced operational overhead, despite any concerns about cost. The comparison of previous manual tasks, which used to take one to two hours, is now reduced to ten to fifteen minutes. From a security standpoint, ROI is also significant, as security breaches cost companies billions each year.

My advice for those looking into OneLogin is to research other options like Okta or Microsoft Entra. What is our primary use case?

OneLogin is primarily used to provide users with a single login for all applications and to manage user access centrally, which helps avoid handling multiple credentials and simplifies access control.

When a new employee joins, a user is created in Active Directory and OneLogin automatically grants them access to the required applications, allowing a user to log in once and access whatever they require. When someone leaves, disabling their account removes access to everything.

What is most valuable?

The best feature is single sign-on, which is very easy for users, followed by Smart Factor, which is a risk-based multifactor authentication, and automatic user provisioning.

OneLogin has improved usability and navigation in our organization, leading to fewer password-related issues, and users do not forget passwords. The IT team spends less time on support and more on important tasks.

Support tickets have been reduced by 60 to 70 percent since using OneLogin.

Phishing-resistant Device Trust solves the authentication process, which is helping us in a real-time environment and has improved security significantly, even if users click on links, it secures the application.

OneLogin provides a seamless end-user experience, and we are receiving very good and positive responses from end-users. There are no issues with this, as the end-user experience is very smooth, allowing users to log in once and access everything easily without multiple passwords.

Vigilance AI is used to detect unusual user login behavior and automatically apply extra security based on the requirement.

The return on investment from OneLogin can be explained through three things: users can be onboarded 70 to 80 percent faster, there are around 50 percent fewer support tickets for the IT team, and there is less manual work for the IT team.

OneLogin is highly recommended, and my advice would be to start with single sign-on and multifactor authentication, plan user roles properly, and then expand. I would rate this review ten out of ten.

What is our primary use case?

I generally use OneLogin because I need multiple business tools for business development, including CRM systems, email platforms, and outreach tools. With OneLogin, I can access single sign-on to multiple apps, which helps save time by not having to remember multiple passwords and makes switching between the tools easy and fast. Multi-factor authentication keeps the business data safe, which helps me remain organized and productive throughout the day.

A typical day for me starts with logging into OneLogin using the single sign-on credential. From OneLogin dashboard, I can access my CRM platform to check up on new leads and update client information, and I also access my email platform for outreach mails and follow-ups. Additionally, I can access LinkedIn-related tools through the app and research to connect with potential clients. Because these tools are connected in one secure login, I can quickly move between the tasks without wasting time on multiple logins.

What is most valuable?

The single sign-on feature and the multi-factor authenticator simply stand out for me.

What is our primary use case?

As an engineer, I primarily use OneLogin to implement single sign-on and manage authentication for different applications, which has significantly helped us connect Active Directory with cloud apps and control user access. This makes user management easier for both the IT team and end users.

When a user logs in from the office network, they gain direct access to apps without additional steps. However, if the same user logs in from a new device, multifactor authentication is triggered, ensuring smooth access for employees.

I use SmartFactor Authentication to adjust authentication flows in real-time based on the risk score associated with the login attempt. Each login attempt is evaluated in real-time based on several parameters including the user's real-time location, device trustworthiness, IP reputation, and behavior patterns. The risk score determines whether to allow the application, trigger MFA, or enforce strict verification.

I use the adaptive login flow for Vigilance AI, which has greatly impacted our risk detection and control over authentication.

What is most valuable?

OneLogin provides a smooth single sign-on experience for users, along with SmartFactor improving security and usability while significantly reducing password-related support tickets.

Automation is an additional valuable feature that helps us assign applications to users automatically, reducing manual work for the IT team and making onboarding much faster than previously experienced.

Based on my hands-on experience with OneLogin, I do not see any features lacking and it provides a full feature set with no immediate need for improvement.

My main use case is centered around single sign-on and multi-factor authentication across all of our critical business apps. It allows our team to log in once and securely access everything they need, which boosts efficiency and security.

A specific example is that every morning when our team logs in, they use OneLogin to access our project management tools, email, and internal dashboards. For sensitive operations such as accessing financial reports, the adaptive MFA triggers, so they confirm with a push notification or a code. The customization options in OneLogin really let us tailor the security to our exact needs.

What is most valuable?

One of the best features is definitely the breadth of integrations. It works with so many applications out of the box. On top of that, adaptive MFA is really strong, and the admin console is incredibly intuitive. It gives us full visibility and control over user access.

The integrations really stand out because they cover both cloud apps and on-premises solutions seamlessly, which I haven't seen in other tools as comprehensively. The adaptive MFA compared to others is more dynamic. It adjusts based on risk or location, so it's really flexible.

What needs improvement?

What is most valuable?

OneLogin provides a smooth SSO experience and strong security features that help us achieve a compliance-ready environment, and it integrates well with multiple applications, improving user productivity and providing central access control.

The single sign-on and user access management have the biggest impact in our organization because they manage user access centrally across the system, allowing access to be assigned or removed easily, reducing manual efforts and simplifying work.

OneLogin has positively impacted our organization by providing strong security through multi-factor authentication and secure access control, significantly reducing tickets for our IT team, which overall provides more valuable contributions and efficiency.

Our primary use case for OneLogin is giving every employee secure, simple, seamless access to every application they need while giving IT complete central control over all that access.

We are using OneLogin for multi-factor authentication, making security invisible. One of the things we are most proud of about OneLogin is deployment, how we made strong security fields almost invisible to employees. This is an example of operation, and we are able to seamlessly manage user data and user accounts.

The best thing about OneLogin is that the integration was seamless and we have not faced any kind of challenge. It provides audit and compliance preparation, so we are able to meet our audits by gathering the logs from OneLogin. We are able to easily deploy or provision users in OneLogin.

The best features provided by OneLogin are its usability and the seamless integration with Active Directory, how the multi-factor authentication works, and automated provisioning and de-provisioning of users.

OneLogin is really helpful in our organization and has impacted it positively.

What is our primary use case?

In the banking sector, we face issues from the different products used, so after trying OneLogin, the customer is very satisfied with the support and how things are working with them; it is easy to use with a user-friendly interface.

In banking sector projects, I see good features in OneLogin, such as deploying with firewalls and Cisco switches, which our previous product could not do, making this a significant advantage.

OneLogin creates an easy environment for me where I do not have to remember each and every user's password all the time, as we can use a single password for multiple applications and it syncs with AD.

OneLogin's best features, in my experience, include its ability to sync up with multiple products such as firewalls, switches, and servers, enhancing password security.

The user experience for signing in and authenticating with OneLogin is very useful, as users can easily access what they need without facing issues.

The user identity synchronization across directories in OneLogin takes a bit of time initially, but once synchronized, it works amazingly.

I believe providing on-premises boxes for trial purposes would be helpful for small businesses to test the product.

What is our primary use case?

OneLogin's main use case in our organization is ensuring that the right person has access to the right tools by bringing everything under control. It serves as one place to manage all access and provides one login for all employees. OneLogin helps manage access for our employees by giving every employee a single login to access everything they need. They log in once at the start of their workday with their company username and password, and they are ready to go without waiting for anything. There are no more forgotten passwords to juggle and no more account lockouts, just one simple login and employees are ready to work.

What is most valuable?

The best feature that OneLogin offers in my experience is how much time it saves everyone, not just IT but every single employee in the organization. Employees no longer waste time logging in with credentials because before OneLogin, people wasted considerable time trying to get into applications, dealing with forgotten passwords, account lockouts, and waiting for reset emails. These issues have been completely solved with OneLogin.

Users benefit from a good user interface to log in that is very simple and user-friendly. Employees are very satisfied with this solution because they are not stuck having to remember multiple passwords or log in to each application individually whenever they need it. Logging in once provides access to everything.

Before OneLogin, security was inconsistent across applications, where some applications had strong passwords while others had weak ones, and some had multi-factor authentication while others did not. After implementing OneLogin, the same strong security standard applies everywhere because authentication goes through OneLogin first. This has closed many security gaps we had in our application login processes.

OneLogin solved a significant challenge for us regarding the orphan account problem, which was our biggest and most embarrassing issue before implementation. We ran an audit for deployment and found multiple accounts still active in our various applications belonging to people who had left the company, which was flagged as high priority. This problem no longer exists because automated de-provisioning means that the moment someone leaves the organization, every access point is closed immediately.

OneLogin has made three important improvements to our organization. It has significantly increased the security of our SaaS applications, it is saving time for every user because there are no manual processes, and anyone with just one login can access everything with security.

What needs improvement?

I do not see any significant issues or challenges with OneLogin because it provides good security with simplified management of the login process for users. However, one thing that could be simplified is the initial setup because it was somewhat tricky during implementation in the initial phase.
