Overview
Jitsi Meet Video Conferencing Server on Ubuntu 24.04
Secure, simple and scalable video conferences on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Jitsi Meet is an open source (Apache licensed) WebRTC application that uses the Jitsi Videobridge to deliver high quality, secure and scalable video meetings. A privacy friendly alternative to Zoom, it runs entirely in the browser so participants can join in seconds with no software to install and no account to create.
The Jitsi Meet client runs in your web browser, without installing anything else on your computer. It enables very efficient collaboration, letting users share their full desktop or only selected windows, and it supports shared document editing with Etherpad. Because you host it yourself on your own AWS instance, your meetings and data stay under your control.
This AMI comes pre installed and pre configured on the latest Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Long Term Support), with the Nginx web server, Prosody messaging server and Jitsi Videobridge already set up so you can launch and start hosting meetings in minutes.
