Rehost VMs or replatform to containers
AWS Transform supports two migration execution paths based on each workload's needs. For rehosting, the service manages the full lifecycle: deploying replication agents, launching test instances for validation, tracking migration progress, and orchestrating cutover. For replatforming to containers, existing on-premises applications can be containerized and deployed to Amazon ECS or Amazon EKS as part of the same migration workflow. AWS Transform analyzes source code repositories, generates Dockerfiles, builds container images with integrated security scanning, and produces deployment-ready infrastructure-as-code for the target environment.
