Kandji makes Mac management a joy

What do you like best about the product?
Has many options to help organize device policies for easier management and maintenance of many devices in an organization.

Kandji's Auto-Apps feature makes managing, installing, and updating dozens of popular software titles a breeze. I also love that they continually add new software titles.

Kandji's customer support is the best I have ever experienced! They respond quickly and with the information needed to address my problems. When required, they provide custom scripts that I can deploy through Kandji to do what I want to do with Macs.

The prebuilt library items and security-focused blueprints make deploying key things much more accessible than other MDMs.

Their Auto-enrollment and Liftoff features provide help to deploy Macs rapidly.

The direct management options for each device (reboot, shutdown, erase, set name, lock, etc.).
What do you dislike about the product?
Providing a maximum of 5 days of warning before forcing macOS updates will occasionally catch a user off-guard. I know the macOS update portion is being rewritten, and I look forward to those updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a cost-effective way to provide an excellent customer experience for Mac users, maintain device software control, enforce organizational policy, and reduce the IT management resources required. Kandji checked all of those boxes for us.

The Best Onboarding/Migration in the MDM world.

What do you like best about the product?
We made the switch from Jamf to Kandji. Kandji has the best onboarding / migration process I have seen. Liftoff and Self Service look like it was developed by Apple. We are managing iOS,tvOS, and macOS in a K-12 environment and couldn't be happier.

Everything just works!
What do you dislike about the product?
As of now, I can't find anything about Kandji I dislike. Their support is top-notch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Auto-App updates, and the consistency of adding more and more apps. We spent HOURS dealing with patch management.

Makes MDM easy!

What do you like best about the product?
-Easy to set up
-Great support
-UI is easy to understand and looks great

As someone who hasn't managed a MDM before, this made the entire process very easy and we were able to set everything up within a week or two.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far we haven't run into any issues since our set up is pretty standard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Computer/asset management.

The Best Apple MDM Around

What do you like best about the product?
We've used and tested several MDM's and Kandji has proven to be the best one. We highly value knowledgeable and speedy support, and Kandji went above and beyond in this category. They have also taken note of the shortcomings of other MDM's and implemented in-house solutions to better the environment for the user and the admin.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've been using Kandji for several months, and I haven't found anything wrong they couldn't solve within a day through the support. If I had to pick something, the devices tab only lists 25 by default, so it is the slightest inconvenience to change it to a higher value. I have submitted a feature request for this to be modifiable, so hopefully, we'll get that feature soon!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji is leading the MDM space in functionality and support. They have exceeded my expectations and made me wish every company adopted their engineering and support team.

What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is so simple yet so powerful. If you look at their competitors, there are some that can do anything you want, but how much effort do you have to spend to get that? With Kandji, you can still get what you want, but the setup is simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is getting very nitpicky, but my only dislike is that Kandji is Mac only. We still lack an excellent product to manage our few Windows and Linux devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our current MDM is unable to meet our needs. We need to be able to deploy computers quickly to our remote workforce. We don't have the time to spend imaging computers and installing apps. We needed a solution that would allow us to deploy computers faster and also deploy the applications our users need. Kandji enables us to do all of this.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. I've used other MDM's such as JAMF and this software makes managing a fleet of Macs way simpler. The code development is superb.
What do you dislike about the product?
The time it takes to get features approved by Apple but I don't know if that's Kandji's responsibility.

Extremely Happy Switching from JAMF to Kandji

What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is the new gold standard for managing Apple devices. We previously switched from JAMF a year ago, which was outdated, slow, hard to navigate via the UI and also tricky when troubleshooting connectivity issues. Our experience migrating to Kandji has been the exact opposite, and some features include:

- Real intuitive User Interface (Specifically, devices and users are top-level clicks and include quick filtering)
- Administrative settings are easy to configure
- SSO, SAML, + Passport make configuration when using Okta as an IDP a breeze. We've had zero issues the past year with any provisioning from Okta to Kandji
- Advanced remote device functions (system renaming, application statuses, remote locking/wiping) all work perfectly (In contrast, these would often not work or not report status in JAMF)
- The support team is responsive via email
What do you dislike about the product?
In general, we've had no complaints with Kandji. One thing that we would like to see would be a Kandji Terraform provider to support configuring Blueprints via IAC. Lastly, there's a bug with the Kandji/Vanta integration where XProtect doesn't show up in Vanta, as Kandji doesn't pull that value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji facilitates our onboarding process by integrating with Apple for automatic device enrollment as well as integrating via our IDP (Okta) to ensure that new users are automatically provisioned quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and constant improvements.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides at this moment. The only problem I had was the ability to assign apps to individual users, but that feature is now added.

What do you like best about the product?
I can deploy Mac systems globally without issues. We have the ability to use systems in areas we never had before because we do not need to set up the systems beforehand
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting in Kandji is lacking. I would love to be able to answer my boss when he asks me how many times a software package has been installed on systems or who is running a specific version of some software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Kandji we are able to deploy, maintain, and control macs across the world. This has allowed us to maintain a higher level of security in the company, and ensure that our systems are up to date with patching, and software installed is kept up to date.

Great MDM option

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Kandji for some time now, and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with this platform. The first thing that caught my attention was the ease of the migration tool for users and the ease of applying changes to out device fleet. It made the transition from our previous platform seamless, with minimal disruption to our workflow.

The Admin Panel is intuitive and straightforward, making it easy for even not-so-technical users to navigate and understand. The platform's simplicity belies its robust capabilities, allowing us to easily manage our device fleet and maintain compliance.

The technical support provided by Kandji is nothing short of excellent. Their team is knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to go the extra mile to resolve any issues we encounter. Their fast and reliable support has saved us countless hours of frustration and downtime.

In summary, Kandji has been a game-changer for our organization. The platform's migration tool, intuitive UI, and excellent technical support have made it a pleasure to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was initially drawn to Kandji for their publicly available pricing, but to my disappointment, their pricing has since become opaque and "by offer."
I understand that this might be something regarding competition with alternative MDM solutions, however the "friendly and transparent approach" felt far way better than how it is right now.

Furthermore, while I appreciate the efforts of the Customer Success Manager, there have been times when their attentiveness has fallen short of my expectations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a former Windows System Administrator, I was initially intimidated by the prospect of managing Apple devices. However, Kandji made the transition a breeze with its intuitive interface and comprehensive management tools. The platform's Auto-Apps feature is especially impressive, allowing me to easily deploy and manage custom applications across all of our devices. Kandji has saved me countless hours of frustration and has made managing our device fleet a much simpler and more streamlined process. I highly recommend Kandji to anyone looking for an easy-to-use device management solution, regardless of their previous experience with managing Apple devices.
