What do you like best about the product?
Whenever we encounter an issue, we rely on the chat box feature to connect with a member of Kandji's team. It's the best chat box we've ever used. Our representative is incredibly helpful and possesses deep knowledge of the product they sell.

We dont dislike anything from Kandji, everthing works great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Easy deployment at scale, best MDM experience out there

  • July 18, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of deployment and migration to Kandji from other MDMs or no MDM at all was the winner for us. The support team created a migration PKG for us that enrolled the user in the proper blueprint as well as walked the end user through the mobileconfig profile installation and prompts. Easiest tool onboarding I have ever gone through.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love more granularity in the device filtering and search. The do update the device page pretty regularly though, so its possible the limitations I previsouly had are no longer an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to do Zreo touch deployment and manage a large group of Macs with ease. I can set it and forget it and know that the Kandji agent is taking care of updates and keeping our Macs in compliance with our poolicy. The pre-built blueprints also make it a breeze to get up and running quickly.

Very user-friendly yet deep and powerful

What do you like best about the product?
For a smaller organisation like ours Kandji is perfect for making sure all of our devices can force the best security practices on our users without being an obstacle in getting work done. The 24/5 chat support is also extremely helpful and can help you get up and running very quickly and learn about the platform in a very short period of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only gripe is that on certain resolutions the webapp doesnt show me the info i want to see and that creating custom views for the device list is lost after a refresh.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji allows us to have a clear overview of our equipment, impose usage restrictions, and allow our machines to be dispatched with minimum IT support required. It allows us to not use and maintain complex spreadsheets for keeping track of who is using which device and to dispatch a device to a new employee with a couple of clicks.
It is also extremely beneficial that we can force our users to update their devices without the need to admin access to the device which was a big pain point for us as some machines were a few major updates behind the current verions of macos.

Intuitive software that just works!

  • July 02, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is super intuitive to use and just works in the background allowing easy management of Apple based devices. I wish they would also expand to windows :) The UI is an easy to use interface meaning very rarely do we need to look up or check what's happened. Enforcements or items rarely fail to deploy, but if they do it's clear why and generally down to a device based issue. Support is easy to access via the web chat and always extremely helpful when in need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much - there are of course minor issues that bump into but mostly there is a workaround or.a plan to develop/deploy such a feature. Other items such as increased integrations to tools (Microsoft for example) are becoming increasingly convenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of Apple devices to include patching and hardening

Kandji is a reliable and user-friendly MDM solution

  • June 28, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Kandji offers convenient automation for managing applications and operating system patches and makes it easy to sync IDP passwords. The user interface is well-designed and easy to use. Also, the documentation is really comprehensive, and the customer support team is outstanding.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of reports. It would be helpful to receive a report on which computers have low storage space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji integration with Apple for automated device enrollment and with our IDP (Okta) ensures quick provisioning, streamlining our onboarding process.

Kandji is the Only Choice

  • June 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use and the design of the UI. It's super simple, but extremely powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike. Honestly, there isn't anything I can think of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were using the MDM supplied by our HRIS, and it wasn't great. The reporting was off, and managing the devices was really slow (pushing out software, etc.). We needed something that integrated with our new IdP, as well as our exisiting security stack. Kandji had all that ready to go, out of the box.

An MDM solution that is designed to be admin friendly

  • June 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Kandji offers a streamlined transition from other MDM solutions. As a Mac admin managing the Mac fleet of a large enterprise it was an evident expectation that the migration would happen seamlessly with minimal impact to end users. The experience was great and I did not have to worry about failing on onboarding attempts.

Blueprints allow for exceptional scoping while Auto apps made my life significantly easier since the native patch management took the burden off my shoulders. Just like managed OS updates which along with Auto apps helps keeping the fleet in a good shape when it comes to vulnerability management.

Although features like integration with Entra ID, MS Teams, Slack, ServiceNow are not unmatched but they just work great, really easy to implement. Once Intune integration will be available, my list would be complete.

And I have to shout out to the entire support team which is absolutely exceptional! You'll always work together with real engineers who understand user issues and offer professional solutions. The chat support is just awesome!
And yeah, this is all free, no need to get an expensive pro support contract.

Choosing Kandji got proven to be a right decision not only from a Mac admin perspective but my company also did benefit a lot from it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Coming from a different MDM world initially I found grouping a bit cumbersome but then it turnes out it only requires a different approach to get used to the way how it is done in Kandji. Reporting was kind of the same experience and even today I need to do some scripting to get proper reports. But then with a new feature called Prism it improved significantly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji helps with managing the company Macbook fleet on a very professional manner.
One of the key reasons of moving to Kandji was that it offered robust security features to ensure that our devices and data remain protected against potential threats.
Implementing compliance benchmarks (CIS, NIST) was an indispensable requirement from out IT Security department and we got it all implemented with a single click.

Kandji is the Apple device management and security platform you want.

  • June 25, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How Kandji works is clear. It was super easy to get up and running.

From ABM integration to device auto-enrollment, to specifying configurations and policies for different groups, employees, and devices, you're going to get the things done you need and not need to live in the tool all day to be sure things are how they're supposed to be.

Truly no-touch, nothing needed from your end user—no, really, no asterisk here. It just works .

You don't need to be a seasoned macOS admin to pick up and run the Kandji implementation—which is huge.

Available and eager-to-help customer support and customer success teams make it easy to get your questions answered.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some aspects of the UI that feel unintentional, sort of engineer-designed. For phones, you can see the phone number if you home-in on a single phone, but you can't add it as a column to the table view. All this can be fixed tho.

There's a 50-device minimum for macOS, which feels steep. Sure, I wish all employees were on Mac, but I believe in employee choice, and I'll always give the choice on Mac and PC. When that's the case, you just might not hit 50 Mac users. But this is finding something to complain about, rather than it actually being a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
InfoSec is just a thing we have to do—but we don't want to spend too much time doing it. Kandji secures your devices and enables you to give employees a quick device setup get to productivity.

InfoSec and IT requirements don't have to be productivity killers. If they are, maybe you have the wrong tools in your kit.
