Udemy Business
Structured learning has built strong technical and HR skills across our growing teams
What is our primary use case?
The main use case for our organization is to learn new courses, and there are some courses related to HR that we receive during onboarding. There are courses related to technical skills that we can learn through Udemy Business, so it plays a crucial role in that.
One specific example of a course I studied through Udemy Business is a technical course on Angular by Maximilian, which is a very large course of around 300 plus hours that I used to clear my basics and develop a keen understanding of how Angular should be used in an enterprise-level platform.
I have used Udemy Business for learning multiple HR-related videos including POSH-related videos and onboarding videos, which include the expected behavior of individuals in a company, how communication should be conducted, what things need to be learned before joining a team, how Scrum works, how standup is performed, and the different roles of users in an enterprise. For these topics, I watched multiple videos to get a keen understanding, which is great because Udemy Business provides these kinds of resources.
Our entire HR-related structure is built upon Udemy Business, so the courses HR provides align perfectly with Udemy Business courses. For example, there are courses on onboarding and behavioral skills necessary for teamwork, which HR integrates for us to learn sequentially.
What is most valuable?
Udemy Business offers multiple features such as tracking how many lessons you have completed and whether you have given the required assessments. It divides the content into modules which is very beneficial, and after each module, there is an assessment that checks your understanding of the topic, making your understanding clearer, better, and more functional.
When I was learning, particularly in the large Angular course, each module would have questions related to it, asking how a component is created or what the shortcut commands are. These concepts are initially difficult to remember, but when I started giving exams, I began to reconcile that information, leading to better retention and understanding as I worked in an enterprise culture.
Udemy Business has positively impacted my organization by significantly improving productivity and skill development. If individuals learn from scattered platforms like YouTube, the content is spread out, requiring them to watch videos from multiple creators. In contrast, Udemy Business provides modular courses that offer a clearer understanding.
The onboarding process has improved because previously people were gathering information from various platforms, but after using Udemy Business, we provided new hires with a course. They complete it, do the assessment, and acquire about ninety percent of the technical knowledge they need easily, allowing them to ask questions and clarify doubts with seniors afterwards.
I have learned a variety of valuable skills and certifications from Udemy Business, including Docker, Angular by Maximilian, SAP-related courses, React by Hitesh Choudhary, Kubernetes, and full-stack development by Angela Yu, among others.
There is a structured process for ongoing skill development and upskilling, where technical seniors identify the best courses based on team needs, such as transitioning to React Native, allowing for efficient training plans that suit our organization.
The AI capability of Udemy Business is very good, and its governance is strong as it tracks user engagement with the modules, checking if users complete them in time without skipping lectures.
The reliability and accuracy of output from Udemy Business are very great, at one hundred percent. The platform consistently provides perfect responses, eliminating the need for extensive searches for desired content, and the courses are frequently updated by their creators.
What needs improvement?
From a technical perspective, I feel that when learning Angular, having a code editor available alongside the course would allow for practical coding practice, which is essential since practice makes perfect. Being able to write the code while watching the video would greatly enhance the learning experience.
Another improvement I think could enhance the learning experience is creating a collaborative environment among colleagues, where they can compete with each other for scores. This competition can motivate individuals to push themselves and grow, fostering a productive learning atmosphere.

The customer support for Udemy Business is very great, with a twenty-four seven policy ensuring replies.
I would rate the customer support a solid ten because it is very effective.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before Udemy Business, we focused on content creation platforms including Coursera and YouTube, but after adopting Udemy Business, we aligned our efforts solely with it for better consistency.
How was the initial setup?
I believe it was very easy for users in my organization to adapt to Udemy Business, as it is an interactive and user-friendly platform. You simply type in the course you need to learn, watch the modules in order, complete the assessment, and receive certification, making it a straightforward process.
What was our ROI?
I have definitely seen a return on investment with Udemy Business, particularly since it streamlines the learning process compared to previously searching multiple content creation platforms such as YouTube. We can now select one course and receive thorough coverage of the topic.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing for Udemy Business is dynamic according to the courses purchased, and I found it quite reasonable. The setup is also straightforward, as Udemy Business provides credentials for our enterprise and allows us to create sub-accounts for sharing among users.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We evaluated other options, including Coursera and YouTube, before settling on Udemy Business.
What other advice do I have?

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
Tailored learning paths have accelerated my onboarding and expanded my embedded Linux skills
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Udemy Business is searching for desired courses. When I have a need for new knowledge or new topics to work on, I search for them on Udemy Business, and one of the examples is embedded Linux using the Yocto project that I worked on.
Apart from manual search, I also use the learning path that is constructed by my company, and I follow the learning path to get the appropriate knowledge that the company decided is valuable.
What is most valuable?
The best features Udemy Business offers are a wide range of different learning platforms for the topics that can be searched on, and especially for all levels of knowledge, from the beginners' basic content to some specific topics.
The variety of topics and levels has helped me greatly. When I'm new to a topic, I always search for basics and beginner content, and for more experienced topics, I use specific narrow courses, such as embedded Linux using Yocto, because I was already familiar with embedded Linux and Ubuntu, but I had never worked with Yocto specifically. This was an amazing opportunity for me to learn about Yocto.
Udemy Business has positively impacted my organization by providing the ability for everyone to get to the same level that the company expects. It is not team-specific; rather, it provides a person-to-person ability to search and deliver something that each person needs that is specific for them.
Faster onboarding is the most evident benefit. The knowledge gained through Udemy Business allows certain people to reach the needed level, and in my example, I noticed that I got a faster introduction to topics specific to the field that the company works on.
What needs improvement?
I am not really sure how Udemy Business can be improved. I have nothing to add about the needed improvements, even small things that might make my experience better.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Udemy Business for one and a half years.
What other advice do I have?
I would advise others looking into using Udemy Business not to be shy and not to think that something cannot be found because it contains many different topics and different video materials to cover everything. I encourage people to explore it and use it, finding something suitable for their needs.
I would rate my overall experience with Udemy Business a ten out of ten.
Effective Learning Platform
Flexible, Practical Learning—But Course Quality Can Be Uneven
Huge Course Variety with Smart Recommendations and Scheduled Learning
Great Learning Platform and Engaging Courses for Corporate Training
One feature I really like is the “Schedule Learning Time” feature, which lets me set aside time each week as a learning goal. I’ve found this super useful for comparing my weekly learning goals with my learning progress, and it helps keep me motivated. I also like that Udemy helps me keep track of the trainings I’m currently pursuing and makes it easy to jump back in where I left off, so I can complete them without hassle.
Excellent platform for upskilling
Second is Lab environment. It is difficult in live sessions to get the lab env setup and make it up and running. This is walk in the park while using Udemy business Pro.
An Indispensable Resource for Upskilling
It helped me a lot to gain knowledge and improve skills.
But sometimes I find network issues when internet is proper, video occurs blur and need to be verified the video clarity.
When comparing with other tools Udemy is very much better.
