Do NOT make the mistake of switching / using Kandji
What do you like best about the product?
Integrates with ABM (Apple Business Manager)
Passport system can make it so individuals sign on to the laptop with the Google credentials, cutting down on need to keep different passwords. (Notice I said "can" make it - and not that it does. There are SO many issues with this aspect of their product)

WARNING!!!
Switching from our current MDM to Kandji they said would be easy. "We'll set you right up with an integration specialist" and it'll be "so easy." BS. The change took months and was a disaster at best. SOOOO many things I had to figure out that they never mentioned, or I had to keep going back to them to get more information. "Oh, we forgot to mention that!" - said about a dozen times. Also, I had to go to our former MDM to ask them how to do it because "Kandji can only help on the Kandji side of things - not the other MDM side." Well yes, but then don't make it sound like you can and will do that part in the first place! BEYOND Frustrating.
And now that our employees have switched their laptops to Kandji, it has been problem after problem after problem. Employees getting locked out of their laptops (which was the whole reason we switched to Kandji - to prevent that from happening), employees ultimately having to factory reset their laptops to get back in, pop-ups that never go away, and continuous password sync issues.
Kandji is great at helping out when there's problems, but only via chat (which is highly inconvenient and takes FOREVER). But the main problem is the numerous problems keep coming back. The solution ends up being something different every single time, so it's hard for us to create a "How to Fix Kandji Problems" for our employees to refer to.
Also, don't listen to any promises they give you in order to get you to sign a contract. It's BS. They told us we could add licenses in smaller groups than the "25 device bucket" they said they require. However, when it actually came time to add licenses - they said it was in groups (or "buckets") of FIFTY!!! We are a small business and there is NO WAY we need to have and pay for 100 licenses when we only need 55 or even 60. They somewhat worked with us but they ultimately rescinded their promise and said "we're sorry for the miscommunication that may have happened." Now we will be switching back to our old MDM when the year contract is up, causing SO MUCH work for me and all the employees.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was SUPPOSED to solve the problem of employee login password issues - it mildly does but there are so many issues/glitches with it.
Seamless integration and solid UX
What do you like best about the product?
I think the UX is simple to manage, especially if you don't have a lot of operational resources. Also very easy to get set up with - took literally 10 minutes total to create a set of SOC-2 policies.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't found anything to dislike yet - the tool was very easy to get set up with!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us enforce SOC-2 policies for audit compliance
Kandji provides everything we need for Apple device management, and more!
What do you like best about the product?
We, at Shorelight, have loved everything about our experience with Kandji!
As a young and fast-growing global company, Shorelight needed a solution that was easy to deploy and manage.
Kandji checked off all the boxes on our product evaluation sheet. From the basic needs like inventory management, to the specific and technical needs like macOS Kernal/System Extensions management, Kandji had it all.
Integration and deployment was seemless.
The end-user enrollment experience is also amazing! As the Technical Support Manager my focus is to make sure our non-tech colleagues have the best possible tech experience. Newly deployed machines require ZERO touch. Even the “manual” enrollment process for the existing devices on our environment is not really all that manual; send a link, enter a code, restart, and done!
The “backend” Kandji Console has also been super easy to learn and navigate for our internal tech support team.
Kandji’s support team has consistently provided us with answers and solutions to each and every question and problem we have had. They have always responded in a timely manner and given the exact details needed.
10/10 bees :-)

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy of use, straightforward setup, and the support that is offered.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislike currently as everything has been working as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji gives us a single place to manage our entire Apple environment, deploy applications, and keep our devices compliant and secure. It benefits us greatly as it has reduced the time needed to administer devices, if we need to push out apps or policies we can easily do it with Kandji once and we don't have to think about updates or anything else, we just know it will work.
A Seamless, All‑in‑One Mac Solution
What do you like best about the product?
As the IT admin responsible for our Mac environment, Kandji has truly streamlined most of the day-to-day management for me.
When new Apple updates drop, Kandji handles the rollout across our fleet without any extra effort on my part. Policies stay in place, devices stay current, and I can see overall compliance at a glance.
Having detection, response, and vulnerability checks in one place is a game‑changer. Alerts come through quickly, and remediation is straightforward. I feel confident that potential issues are caught early.
Actions like locking, wiping, or pushing changes happen smoothly and without delay. When I do need help, the support team is responsive and knowledgeable.
Why I Recommend Kandji
Mac‑First Design: Feels tailored to our environment.
Unified Security: Everything lives in a single console.
Hands‑Off Automation: Updates and checks run on their own.
Easily Scalable: Ready for growth without extra fuss.
For any organization with a Mac-based device fleet that wants a simple, all‑in‑one management and security platform, Kandji is a top pick.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Kandji checks most of our boxes, there are a few areas that could be smoother:
Reporting Depth:
The dashboards give you the essentials, but if you need really granular or bespoke reports, you might find yourself exporting data and crunching it elsewhere. I wish more of this were baked into Kandji.
Mobile Management:
IOS support is solid, but Android device features are comparatively limited. If Kandji supported Android in addition to IOS for mobile BYOD we would strongly consider Mobile Management as well.
These downsides rarely derail daily use, but they’re worth noting if you have very broad device or reporting needs.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As the IT admin, Kandji gives me a single console to automate updates, EDR, and vulnerability scans—so I no longer spend hours manually patching or hunting down security gaps. With real‑time compliance dashboards and uniform policy enforcement, I’ve reclaimed my day to focus on strategic projects instead of routine device babysitting.
CIS Compliance Solved!
What do you like best about the product?
Proactive account team that look after you and keep you informed of the roadmap
What do you dislike about the product?
More integrations would be ideal, limited scope.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CIS Baseline alignment, Mac app deployment and app catalogs, reporting and encryption checking, auditing, AD integration and on-boarding process is far easier with Kandji than it ever was with MEM.
Good capabilities, very easy to use and epic technical support.
What do you like best about the product?
Your technical support team is awesome. They are all very knowledgeable and almost always find a solution or are quickly able to explain why something isn't possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
High cost relative to the limited capabilities my company needs, it would be nice to have an entry level pricing tier without access to Passport, Assignment Rules etc. Would love to see more support hours available too, especially on weekends since this is often the best time to push new configurations into production operationally but not having support available tends to make this much less attractive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplifies the process of deploying managed devices across several use cases.
An Apple MDM that works
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji build their application from the ground up with a host of insider Apple knowledge and experience, to date I have not used any other MDM that comes close for Apple device management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Kandji is still a relatively young management platform compared to some of it's competitors and while some niche functionality offered elsewhere is not yet in their portfolio, I have seen amazing progress, launches and updates during the years I have been using their platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apple devices have always been the problem child of both endpoint security and device/fleet management, Kandji has a very intuitive and administrator friendly user interace, in addition to native prefabricated blueprints to manage different security baselines and an ever-expanding list of apps that can be payloaded by default or published for users to self-serve - Kandji has helped secure the devices, consolidate the applications and access and made managing the Apple devices in my fleet a better experience every day.
Best Apple MDM in my opinion.
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji was such an improvement in our organization over Workspace One. With the platform being dedicated to MacBooks and our desire to transition to an Apple based environment, Kandji made the most sense to us over Jamf and Workspace One. We've had nothing but success from the tool and our customer success team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anything that we had issues with, we were able to address using Kandji support chat or a support ticket. From a feature standpoint, it did everything we needed and more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From a user perspective, it helped us create a cleaner experience for device setup and management.
From an administrative perspective it was so much easier to setup and manage than any other MDM I've used in the past.

Kandji simplifies Apple management... Great Apple MDM!
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji was easy to setup and easy to deploy. They have many preloaded library items, making it very easy to build and manage blueprints for even novice Apple administrators. Deployment and management is very straight forward and their tech support articles are well written and maintained current. The built in text based chat support option is a great bonus for those quick questions you may have. I highly recommend this product for anyone in the market for an Apple MDM.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used the product for over a year now and don't have anything negative to say. The product works as advertised, is easy to use, and the interface is inutitive and well thought out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All of our devices are now enrolled and being managed by Kandji. This has reduced the IT Helpdesk burden and standardized user experiences.
