Simple to use

  • December 20, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hubspot CRM is a pretty clean and simple to use platform. When I create lists, it is fairly simple to filter my lists based on a variety of properties like website activity, form submission, email opens, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The email design platform. I create our marketing emails and even though Hubspot has a drag and drop creator, you can't view it as you are creating it. You can do live preview but that is a separate window you have to have up. This recent offering is a lot better than before where there really was no preview. It takes a while to build out the emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hubspot has so many tools within it and our sales team is just jumping on board to using it. Havig our contacts in the database as our sales team emails active leads/customers really helps makes sure that we (marketing) are communicating and targetting valuable leads.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This platform is an all-in-one platform and what's really nice are that external platforms want to work with Hubspot so they typically have a simple connection. It is also fairly easy to use but if I have a question or problem, their support team is ready to assist.

Good for a startup

What do you like best about the product?
I use the software mostly for the email design and social media management and I like that it makes it easy to design and send emails using contacts and easily track and manage social media. I think that the email design options in the drag and drop designer look very professional and put together - which helps establish credibility as a startup company. I also felt that their implementation process was very easy and made it helpful for our company to get the most out of our software. They really took the time to meet with us to make sure that we understood Hubspot. I like that different users can customize their view based on what they are looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that they charge based on contacts and calling plans for call teams. As a growing startup, it is difficult for us to manage the growth while also utilizing hubspot. We have some issues with the management of the number of contacts. It can also be a little quirky when importing items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Designed emails that we can't currently use a creative agency for - the software makes it very easy to drag, drop and design nice emails.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think that this is a great all-in-one tool for when you are just starting out as a business, but I'm not sure how scalable it is. I do enjoy that it allows us to manage our contacts, social media, emails and more in just one place.

Very good experience but before implementing someone has to be immersed in system.

What do you like best about the product?
The automation for our sales reps so their conversations are more specific and managing customer tasks to keep them moving the conversation forward with customers regarding their deals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Onboarding reps does take time to understand the logic in the system. Once you understand the logic of how the system operates you can build the system to fit your needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reorder customers and automating our messages to them. Prevents orders from falling through the cracks especially during turnover.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Someone has to be completely immersed in the demo a minimum of 2-3 months ahead of training of others. You must understand the complete journey of your customer through your sales process in order to correctly implement the system into your sales organization.

What do you dislike about the product?
Cannot see how long they spent viewing your email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping a clear and defined history of correspondence across the entire staff.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely a good investment.

    Building Materials

You get what you put in

What do you like best about the product?
The tools and training not only for the CRM software from sales to customer or marketing to customer standpoint but also the inter-departmental and inner-company facing is fantastic! This system can be invaluable for tracking sales and project management. It really comes down to how you integrate it with our sales platform.

The CS team also always good about letting you know when there are changes, new features, or planned maintenance.

The training module is a huge sales feature. It walks you through how to use the software as well as sales/customer service tips. They are timely and have even have "how to's" for moving to virtual sales and working remotely. There are also tools for team leadership and management as well as transparency and project monitoring.

The email templates and sequences are the best tools, in my opinion. It allows you to create a base for emails you use all time and not having to retype. It also allows for standardization. Sequences allow you to create follow up auto emails so you don't have to recall who got what email.

Tasks and workflows can be auto-generated based on sales steps. This allows for multiple touchpoints throughout the process and to allow integration from multiple users. One feature that is helpful to managers is the reporting features. It allows managers to see how team members are performing thought task completion, phone calls made, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
All bugs are quickly addressed by the CS team and never really halt the use of the system.

The email tracking feature is fantastic when it works. It will sometimes log you out without notice. Difficult to integrate with ISP phone systems.

I would recommend having a backup system for contacts so if there is an outage you still have access to your black book.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have greatly increased the efficiency of sales and marketing touch spots while keeping the small company personalized feel.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to learn the full software and go through all tutorials. Even tools you don't think you will need. Such as if you are Sales learn the marketing side and vis versa

What do you like best about the product?
The HubSpot software is great however there are things you dont know about or tools that you may need to manipulate to fit your business/workflow. The support team are quick and well educated for almost all scenarios.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact there is a huge price jump from in the sale start to professional
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data capturing of emails, leads, and tasks. Synced!
Follow-up and well thought through emails.
Easy to use workflow
One central place for Sales and Marketing report to.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sales hub monthly training a must for at least 6months. The tool needs to become 2nd nature in your sales process.

Not the most efficient

What do you like best about the product?
Hubspot makes managing digital marketing tasks a breeze. I enjoy having one platform to send emails, plan social media posts, and edit the website. It was very efficient and user friendly. Easy to train new staff and great training resources
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little pricey for what you get. They are difficult to work with, and require alot of custom html templates. If you are not familiar with html, then there is another fee to purchase email and web page templates. They also recently reduced the amount of free reports, and you have to sign up for an extra fee to receive all the reports. I don't like the idea of being nickled and dimed every year. The CRM and sales side is super difficult and clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It streamlines our marketing process and makes one tool for our marketing, digital marketing, inside and outside sales to work and communicate within. Makes remote marketing super easy to do and efficiently manage a team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Work with a certified agency if you get outside support, and verify it through hubspot. Take the certification courses, but overall an easy platform to use.

Inbound Marketing Captures Data and Converts to KPIs

  • November 09, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot is the pioneering lead of inbound marketing! Consequently, they do an exceptional job of collecting customer data. Once active the dashboard become a critical part of one's day as a marketer. It allows one to start to connect the dots between the inbound campaigns and the actual customers who respond. In addition, HubSpot offers additional marketing automation solutions that one can plug into that allows marketers a complete understanding of their interactions with their audience.
What do you dislike about the product?
HubSpot is a fantastic company, but the problem is vendor lock. Once you become a customer, it becomes very difficult to leave or export one's data to 3rd parties without HubSpot throwing up a lot of road blocks. HubSpot makes it easy to join, but very difficult to leave. One should think twice if committed to traditional forms of marketing (which are still very important). If so, you will have a difficult time integrating such efforts with HubSpot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had a couple clients who are sold on the idea of HubSpot's inbound marketing philosophy. They wanted a turn-key solution and as a result we invested in HubSpot and found a good home. Great company with a lot of valuable customer support. The marketing library is incredible as it is loaded with an endless amount of free, up-to-date reports on industry trends and best practices.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
HubSpot is an incredible company, but the issue of vendor lock is real. Be careful about committing if you are still going to leverage traditional marketing channels.

What do you like best about the product?
Hubspot is pretty good at organizing people and making sure that it is easy to find people. Lots of cool templates and articles popping up frequently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how Hubspot isn't efficient in presenting meaningful analytic data. The data is very low quality and something I could create on my own in Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales Prospecting and doing market research. It is useful to be able to look at properties from an outbound touch (time, location) and then improve upon it by using a formula. This guides outreach strategies. Hubspot is also very good for managing pipeline and showing different deal stages in a way that is very comprehensive and easy for anyone to understand. Deal stages are customizable and clearly laid out making understanding pipeline a simple process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If this is someone's first time with a CRM, I would highly recommend it. That being said, it is a little overpriced.

Expensive But Great Features

  • July 31, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having created the first CRM system for our company through Hubspot, I have found that the large amount of features and customisable options has made the whole process simple.

Being able to create your own customisable fields has been a life-saver and a game changer for setting up a CRM ecosystem.
What do you dislike about the product?
To gain the full functionality of the Hubspot suite is prohibitively expensive for a SME.

However, there are workarounds and enough links to third-party systems that help mitigate this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously my company had no central database for customer data, so installing Hubspot in our day to day work flow has been game changing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it. The content management features are superb and really easy to use. We will never go back to not having a customer contact CRM. It has proven to be invaluable.
