Real-Time Dashboards: Flexible, Shareable Project Insights
Reviewed on Jun 30, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciated the instant overview of my work provided by the personalized dashboards. They make it easy to share project updates with others using real-time data analytics. The flexibility to modify applications proved very effective as my requirements evolved.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboard customization was great, but could be better with more flexibility in designing. Certain templates were not ideal to use as they lacked modifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real-time data analysis eliminated the uncertainty around project progress by giving quick, clear visibility into project performance. It also addressed the separate problem of having to consult multiple sources for approvals, tracking, reporting, and related workflows, consolidating those functions and simplifying project oversight.

Quickbase Delivers Real Value for Our Customers
Reviewed on Jun 28, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use. Our customers are reluctant when we initially suggest it, but that changes after we demonstrate it to them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve can be a challenge for some.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of our customers met an official from another university where their Student Affairs department was providing great services to their student community by deploying a product called Salesforce. They are having great success with it so our customer asked us to give them feedback on it.
We immediately began comparing Quickbase and Salesforce. Since both platforms are customizable low-code/no-code platforms for higher education operations, we argued that Quickbase can match nearly all Salesforce use cases we researched, including data management, FERPA-sensitive access controls, case tracking, student engagement tools, automated notifications, reporting dashboards, and document workflows.
Our core conclusion was that Quickbase could provide comparable functionality to Salesforce while offering a faster, lower-cost, and more flexible implementation path for a university student affairs environment.
Key Takeaways
• Platform capability: Quickbase can replicate Salesforce-style data structures through customizable tables, workflows, role-based permissions, dashboards, and integrations.
• Security and compliance: The platform can support FERPA-sensitive workflows through granular access controls and role-based visibility.
• Operational efficiency: Quickbase can centralize case management, staff activity tracking, referrals, conduct tracking, and workload reporting.
• Student-facing workflows: Quickbase can support portals, roster management, automated notifications, mobile access, and document/e-signature processes.
• No-code advantage: Existing spreadsheets can be converted into applications more quickly, reducing dependence on specialized developers, administrators, or consultants.
Financial Savings Highlight
The report we provided to our customer identifies financial efficiency as one of Quickbase’s strongest advantages. Salesforce implementations can require:
• Significant annual licensing costs
• Expensive third-party consulting
• Specialized administrator training
• Longer implementation timelines
• Ongoing technical support overhead
By contrast, Quickbase is positioned as a more cost-effective no-code alternative that can replace disconnected spreadsheets and potentially avoid the need for multiple high-cost management systems. Our report notes that Quickbase case studies show the platform replacing systems costing $100,000 or more at a fraction of the cost.
The most important savings opportunities are:
1 Reduced licensing expense compared with enterprise Salesforce deployments.
2 Lower consulting costs because internal staff can build and modify applications.
3 Faster deployment, reducing project timelines from months or years to days or weeks.
4 Lower administrative burden because Quickbase requires less specialized technical expertise.
5 System consolidation, allowing departments to replace multiple standalone tools with one centralized platform.
In conclusion, we were able to show our customer that Quickbase could deliver near-parity with Salesforce for student affairs use cases while producing meaningful cost savings, faster deployment, and greater internal control over application development. The recommendation favors Quickbase as the stronger option for scalable, no-code operational improvement across student affairs departments. We strongly anticipate buy-in from this particular customer.

What do you dislike about the product?
We loved working with Quickbase, but managing some of our larger projects was a bit difficult at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Rapid Analytics Development with Powerful Pipeline Automation
Reviewed on Jun 24, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
This low-code app builder has enabled rapid development of analytics-focused frameworks. We no longer have to manually handle our data tasks, because its pipeline automation feature takes care of that work for us. I particularly like the table relationships feature, since it makes it easier to organize and connect our complex datasets in a clear, structured way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there wasn’t anything I specifically disliked. That said, I do think the data visualisation options could be more powerful, and the data transformation capabilities could be more extensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were quite concerned about inefficient approval workflows and duplication of data entry across our systems. Quickbase magically solved these problems by providing us with a pipeline automation feature and improving our data quality.

Quickbase Accelerates Low-Code Development with Great Permissions and Real-Time Reporting
Reviewed on Jun 18, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate having a low-code platform that helps accelerate our application development and deployment with minimal effort. I especially like the role-based permissions and the real-time reporting features, for obvious reasons. Overall, Quickbase strikes a great balance between flexibility and consistency for me, which makes it easier to build, refine, and roll out apps with confidence.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does have a few drawbacks, including an outdated UI, limited reporting capabilities, and the need to rely on third-party tools to get the best overall functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This low-code platform has helped us break through slow app development cycles by enabling the rapid creation of business solutions while still supporting custom workflows that keep execution consistent across our projects. Quickbase has also addressed delays in operational reporting by giving us real-time insights, which in turn supports much faster decision-making.

What do you like best about the product?
we could solve business problem without waiting on developer. A lot of the processes we manage our unique to our business with we were able to build and adjust workflows ourselves instead submitting request and waiting months for IT resources. It helped us finally move from the spreadsheet chaos before quick pace information was spread across multiple spreadsheets, emails and shared folders having everything in one place, made it much easier to know what was actually happening across projects. It’s easy to adapt when process change the way we worked three years ago is different from how we work today, we have been able to modify forms work flows in tracking without having to start over every time, the business walls.
What do you dislike about the product?
reporting can take some trial and error getting exactly the report or dashboard you want is not always at street forward as it should be pipeline of new features. Sometime takes a lot of time as application group keeping organised becomes important without good structure and naming convention in terms of terminology, it can get little harder to manage overtime.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick base solved a visibility problem for us before using it. Information lived in spreadsheet, emails and different systems. We made it difficult to know that the status of projects or identify bottle mix. Having everything in one place has made tracking work managing accountability and making decision much easier.
