There are many examples of Alkira Cloud Services Exchange (CSX) being used effectively. Alkira Cloud Services Exchange (CSX) accelerated one of our project migrations of on-premises applications to the cloud by eliminating complex manual infrastructure setups. It helped our organization insert next-generation firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco into the network path in just a few clicks for consistent traffic inspection. We received multiple positive customer feedbacks for using this solution. Network segmentation was one of the key roles of using Alkira Cloud Services Exchange (CSX).

Cloud backbone has unified multi-environment connectivity and simplifies firewall deployment
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
Alkira Cloud Services Exchange (CSX) is being used in our organization for a global backbone to securely connect users in cloud environments such as Azure and GCP. We use the legacy cloud networking with drag and drop on-demand capabilities. We connect different public clouds together, and it provides high speed and low latency. Hybrid connectivity has improved significantly after using this solution. Firewall insertion is also being used due to this platform.
Alkira Cloud Services Exchange (CSX) offers numerous best features. Some key features include requiring no hardware to buy, no agents to install, or software to manage. It provides a visual point-and-click interface to design, provision, and manage the entire network. It features distributed virtual points of presence with a full routing stack that act as regional hubs. It also enables seamless connection between disparate public clouds, on-premises data centers, and SD-WAN fabrics.
The integral network service is the main feature of Alkira Cloud Services Exchange (CSX) that attracts me most because the on-demand insertion of next-generation firewalls from leading vendors such as Cisco and Check Point, along with load balancers and other services, has improved operations significantly in our organization. End-to-end segmentation is also a valuable aspect.
The unified visual canvas that allows designing and deploying network topologies using an intuitive point-and-click interface is the best part of Alkira Cloud Services Exchange (CSX). The abstraction of complexity is also one of the main points.
What needs improvement?
While Alkira Cloud Services Exchange (CSX) is offering visibility to integrity, more proactive AI-driven troubleshooting can further reduce the time spent on day-to-day operations by predicting congestion or security anomalies before they impact the network. Enhanced cross-transparency and FinOps would also be beneficial. While Alkira is offering cloud insights to manage costs, expanding granular cost modeling to predict the expense of adding new cloud regions or changing routing paths before they are implemented would help enterprises better manage multi-cloud spending.
