Great and simple solution
At one point we tried using OpenSearch since our application is solely hosted in AWS, but we found it to be too expensive and troublesome to setup and maintain. Pinecone was a great help for us since everything is quite easy, the latency is good (less than one second to do vector comparisons, our dataset has millions of observations), and is less expensive than Opensearch (also the pricing is more straight-forward).
There are some extra functionalities we would like to have in pinecone, like getting all results from a query that are above a certain threshold (and not just top_k) but that is minor. I think it is a pretty solid option for vector search applications.
Quick setup, fast vector queries
The setup process was quick and easy to follow, and being able to manage billing through our existing AWS account is a bonus. We have found Pinecone easy to use and very performant.

Great vector database
We've been exploring a perfect, scalable and high-performance vector database for months. Our search finally ended when we came across Pinecone. Pinecone was able to meet our expectations and our business needs.
Easy to setup and maintain
I would highly recommend Pinecone to those who want to have a vtdb solution for your application. Very straight forward

One of the good vector database
Pinecone is one easy-to-use vector database right now and currently using it on production. just create a project and it will create the vector database. my only suggestion is VPC peering or a private link and more locations on AWS since right now you can only deploy it on us-east-1.
All the needed features
We've been using Pinecone as your vector DB solution for several months now. It has served us well. The setup was smooth and we were able to implement their API is a very short time. As our AI usage has grown, Pinecone has scaled well for us and continue to benefit our use-case greatly. Highly recommend.
Blazing Fast
I like PInecone because it's relatively easy to use compared to its competitors and its a fully-managed vector database solution, so you can use it in production without worry. The API is not difficult. It returns similarity scores extremely fast, which has relieved us of the need to do it in our code (which is much slower).
Hands down the best managed Vector DB solution.
Beautiful and easy to use interface. Easy provisioning. An awesome python SDK that makes integration a breeze. Pinecone is hands down the easiest way to leverage Vector DBs in your application. We are using it as a knowledge base to power an LLM integration, but it truly is a more powerful and NLQ-based search index, and I'd use it as a replacement for OpenSearch or ElasticSearch too, not just for LLM apps.
Vector DB startup done right.
Pinecone is not the cheapest vector DB, but it is the easiest and they work with conviction towards improving developer experience and in the last 8 months I've used them strides has been made. Their python SDK has in many ways been plug and play for us when building out our MVP. Pinecone has been vital in adding features to our site fast and will be integral for us in our continuous development of future features.
