Structured Change Management and Solid ERP Integration with Teamcenter Siemens

  • April 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Teamcenter Siemens change management part works well for us. Once a workflow is set up for approvals follow a clear structured path so we don’t have to chase people manually. I also like how it connects with ERP and other internal systems which help us to avoid re entering the same data.
The classification and document handling features are practical for organizing parts only and it keeping documentation in order. It helps that everyone is working from the same dataset which reduces confusion and improves consistency to keep everyone aligned.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search can sometimes feel slower than expected, especially particularly as the database grows. I’ve also noticed that few actions require more clicks than they really should which can make the workflow less efficient. On the plus side classification and document handling features are very practical for helping a lot with organizing parts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Siemens Teamcenter, we used to have duplicate files floating around and no clear sense of who owned what?
Now everything is managed through version control, access permissions, approvals. Which makes it easier to trust the data you are working with. It also keeps a clear record of each step along the way, and that traceability is especially helpful during audits and reviews.

Teamcenter Keeps Teams Aligned with Solid Integrated Workflows

  • April 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Teamcenter works well when multiple teams are involved. Design, procurement, and quality can all refer to the same data and I use it regularly for things like documentation control change requests and lifecycle tracking. With that level of integration the workflow feels solid and helpful for avoiding repetitive exporting and importing files.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s not something you can pick up instantly it takes a bit of hands on time on it before you really feel comfortable using it.
In few workflows also feels longer than they should even though the initial setup process was smooth and straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It really helped clear up confusion between departments, now everyone is aligned on the same process because of that there’s been less backlash or back and forth delays overall. On the practical side the initial setup was much faster than I expected.

What do you dislike about the product?
It can feel quite complex and not very intuitive at first, especially when you’re trying to navigate different modules or perform specific tasks. It also sometimes feels a bit slow, and the learning curve is fairly steep for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamcenter solves the problem of scattered engineering data and version control issues by keeping all product information in one centralized system. This helps ensure everyone is working with the latest, approved data, which reduces errors and rework. For me, it saves time, improves collaboration across teams, and makes it much easier to track changes and manage complex product information.

  • April 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can start with rough ideas and link them with product requirements, track development progress, manage testing and validation, and then smoothly move into production and support phases, all within one connected system. Teamcenter has genuinely transformed how we handled everything from initial product concept through the end of life. The visualization tools are excellent, allowing me to see clear timelines with work done at every step of production, dependency maps, and status reports all in real time. I find change management and approvals to be my favorite features. On the practical side, the initial setup was definitely quicker than expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
Data migration took more efforts than I thought before

  • April 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Teamcenter I work with a lot structured and unstructured product data and Teamcenter helps keep everything aligned and consistent. We’ve integrated it with SAP and our CAD tools and the synchronization has been stable and straightforward. BOM management, version tracking and access control are all handled well. Its helpful also helps that multiple teams can update data without running into conflicts, which aligns with what other users say about collaboration and centralized visibility. When we need information, its easy to access, while still supporting strong data and information security.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigation between modules like workflow, structure manager and datasets isn’t intutive. Teamcenter platform is useful, but it does take some time to learn where everything is and how the different areas connect. Its helpful takes integrates easiky with other third party apps such as ERO and CRM, which helps you get the most benefit from it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have data scattered across shared drives and a mix of different tools. Now everything lives in one systen with proper versioning, which cuts down on confusion and saves time during data validation. Teamcenter gives us exactly that, and it has made a noticable difference for us.

What do you like best about the product?
What I’ve personally found most useful about workflow system is how systematic Teamcenter makes everything once its properly configured. Approvals, change requests and document tracking all run through a clear, consistent process, which makes them much easier to manage in daily work. In my experience, it offers strong PLM support and helps teams complete tasks without any error fewer errors. It also integrates smoothly Siemens tools and can handle latge volumes of product data without the system starting to break down. Access control is very detailed as well, and I’ve found that helpful when multiple teams are involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its not something you can start using right away. There’s a real learning curve and onboarding new team members takes time. Some actions also feel slow compared to lighter tools, which can make daily work less smooth at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to manage our work across several different tools, and that often led to confusion. Now everything lives in one system desgin, documenation, approvals and the ability to centralise data which has made collaboration much easier. Its also brought more discipline to the way we work and reduced how much we rely on manual follow ups.
