What do you like best about the product?
It's ability to provide a single source of truth for product data. It helps team's manage documents, CAD files,BOMs, change processes, and workflow in one centralized system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customization and implementation can require significant time and expertise.
It can take time for users to become proficient, but once adopted properly, the benefits usually outweight the initial challenges.

Organized CAD Management with a Learning Curve

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Teamcenter helps us turn project experiences into structured, reusable learning stories. It captures lessons from the field as structured learning stories without needing CAD software, and is great for drawing and 3D model projects. I like how it organizes our CAD library and the well-informed customer support is a huge plus. The BOM Manager is a great feature to monitor Product tree logic. It helps us keep, analyze, and categorize the CAD in 3D, which overall increases work efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a steep learning curve for Teamcenter. It took me 3 months to fully feel satisfied to use it freely. Provide more learning materials and guidance. Tutorial videos and manuals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Teamcenter to capture lessons from projects as structured learning stories without CAD software. It helps organize, analyze, and categorize drawings and 3D projects, boosting work efficiency.

One stop shop for all product data and our users are loving all the integrations available with the Mechanical and Electrical CAD platforms.

Active Workspace still takes quite a while for users to adopt, and the overall onboarding process can feel slow.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like Teamcenter for its collaboration capabilities. It serves as a single source of truth, making it effective for ensuring that everyone is working on the same part.
What do you dislike about the product?
Yeah. Your UI is not good. And then performance sometimes is not the best. Things are not very intuitive. It can be developed properly. There is a huge learning curve.

I use Teamcenter for product management and design. It acts as a single source of truth and enhances collaboration, ensuring everyone works on the same part.

Complex Setup, but Great Integration with Siemens Products

What do you like best about the product?
I like the supporting products and integration with many of the other Siemens products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance is a big issue, especially from the user perspective. It takes way too long to start up and log in to the software, particularly when using the rack-based client. Also, the initial setup took four years, which was quite complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Teamcenter for engineering definition, bomb, drawings, and specs. The supporting products and integration with many other Siemens products are what I like most.

I like the ability to utilize the RAC and Active Workspace. It provides many capabilities and makes it easier to get work done.

Some capabilities may not be a mature as expected and IR's are generated for Siemens to address and roll out a patch to correct.

Customizability, multiple ways to do the same thing
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are too many ways to do the same thing, which means when performing customizations sometimes things are missed. I also often find features that I need/have used in other PLM systems years ago are not available until the newest TC version, which my company is not upgrading to anytime soon
